Solve : Windows 2000 crash AFTER autoupdate from MS.?

Answer» <html><body><p>Yesterday we accepted an auto update from MS. After the update our desktop pc running on Windows 2000 crashed and burned. We spent <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/almost-373246" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ALMOST">ALMOST</a> 6 hours on the phone with a MS tech yet were not able to resolve the issue.  We tried to re-install the W2000 OS, but it would not work.  Kept getting a 'cant find file' error code (NT5.cat). Needless to say, it's very frustrating.  Has anyone else <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/run-1192138" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about RUN">RUN</a> into this problem? Doing this simple task very often solves the problem of read errors from the CD and ensures a smooth install."<br/><br/>You should take a look at the CD and see if NT5.CAT shows as NT5.CA_<br/><br/>Does the CD have service <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/pack-1145281" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PACK">PACK</a> 4?<br/>yes the cd says nt5.ca_Does it boot to safe mode....?</body></html>
