Solve : Windows 2000 Pro boot problem...? |
| Answer» <html><body><p>Thanks in advance...<br/>After reboot, makes it through the Windows <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/screen-25632" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about SCREEN">SCREEN</a> with the bar at the bottom, then hangs on the next light blue screen (not blue screen of death) when the user/login prompt pops up. It wont pop up, stuck on blue, and same thing in safe mode.<br/>Was using Spybot S&D earlier and found a few problem files. Upon next boot this <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/startedb-1949268" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about STARTED">STARTED</a>.<br/>Cannot get into BIOS.<br/>Could Spybot have deleted a wrong file essential to boot?<br/>Thanks.Ad-Aware and SpyBot both offer restore point features so if indeed you clipped an important registry key (or 10 or 20), they can be restored.<br/><br/>Or, can you just use System RestoreAnd where is system restore on Windows 2000?There is no system restore on W2kPro. No there is no hack programs out there to do it. By the time the OS boots and a file could write to it the computer treats the BIOS as Read-Only.
