Answer» <html><body><p>when my computer starts up in will get stuck in cmos. it will let you navigate thruogh all the options but no <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/matter-22749" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about MATTER">MATTER</a> what you <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/pick-1154368" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PICK">PICK</a> you can not get out of it. any help would be great.First off, the computer doesn't automatically go into CMOS by itself. Normally you have to hit a key (Del, for example) or some other key combination to get into the CMOS. YOU have to be the one to make it go there. <br/><br/>Do you have the motherboard manual? If so, find the section on how it <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/tells-2293753" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about TELLS">TELLS</a> you to reset the CMOS with the jumper settings. The other thing you can do is remove the motherboard <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/battery-893842" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about BATTERY">BATTERY</a> (looks like a nickel) for awhile, then put it back in. By removing the battery you will help the CMOS 'forget' it's settings and you can start from scratch.<br/><br/>Alan <>< <br/><br/>And Windows 2000 or any other operating system has nothing to do with it.There was something under the delete key, it would still function so you could not <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/tell-1240910" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about TELL">TELL</a> it was locked on. thanks for the input though. What was under the delete key ? ?<br/><br/>Crumbs...<br/><br/>toothpick...<br/><br/>insect...<br/><br/>patio. 8-)a steel shaving : ::-?</p></body></html> | |
