Quote
The only thing that I have in it now is a shortcut that I didn't need.

So there is something in there?
If you delete a file now, does it show in the recycle bin?
Are you running disk cleanup as a scheduled TASK?
Disk cleanup, along with many 'aftermarket' things will empty your recycle bin.Yes there is a short cut icon in there and no I haven't RUN any of the cleaners since I put it in there.

I think it started when I started using a theme...maybe I'll try removing the theme. I wouldn't think that would affect it though... If you press SHIFT while dragging, the item is deleted from your computer without being stored in the Recycle Bin."

How do you delete files?I just drag them to the recycle bin. Quote
I just drag them to the recycle bin.

With the shift key pushed or possibly the Caps lock on?I don't think so...Try DELETING a file by right clicking on it & selecting delete?
