Solve : For "Calum" ;-o? |
Answer» http://news.yahoo.com/photo/070607/481/tok80306070602;_ylt=AjfyROoaHtUDfZz_Dwo.F_Nk24cA Japan's CUTEST cat in glittering crystal decorates NEC Corp.'s new pink laptop in the Japanese electronics maker's latest EFFORT to woo working women. The La Vie G Hello Kitty model, available for $1,650 by Internet order only in Japan, went on sale Wednesday, and has gotten off to a good start, company spokesman Shinya Hashizume said Thursday, while declining to give numbers. "PC users now tend to be men, but we're HOPING to attract women with this product," he said. The laptop, developed in collaboration with Sanrio Co., the Tokyo-based company behind Hello Kitty, uses 299 Swarovski crystals to depict four hearts and the bubbly feline head wearing a pink bow and crown. NEC is hoping to sell several hundred of the Hello Kitty laptops in the next few MONTHS, targeting the summertime when Japanese workers receive their twice-a-year bonuses, Hashizume said. The laptop, which comes with a Windows Vista operating system, 100 gigabyte hard disk drive and 1 gigabyte memory, is being advertised as a laptop that's "dazzling and gorgeous like a jewelry box." Hello Kitty has been popular for years with children and young women, but the cat has begun to appear on electronic gadgets, guitars and expensive jewelry. There's even a Hello Kitty Barbie, who wears a belt, necklace and jacket with the image of the celebrity mouthless cat. **sorry couldn't resist !!** http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070607/ap_on_hi_te/japan_hello_kitty_laptop;_ylt=AqFndXo2x136Lk.GvbvAoEcjtBAFIt looks awesome I would get it if it had Windows XP instead of Vista....and probably more hard drive memory... What do you think Calum? In your budget range?Hmm . . . let me think about that . . . I had a friend with a hotpink Razr phone once who couldn't understand why everyone laughed at him . . . he also wore nail varnish . . . Back to the point. That's the most hideous thing I've EVER seen. And overpriced too. Anyone who buys it is a fool. Solve : Desktop Screenshots (woohoo!)? |
Answer» Okay, here is mine again I use multiple FF windows ocasionally - how about if you need to look at an email and a web page at the same time? I definitely take full ADVANTAGE of tabs, I'm always begging and pleading with people that don't use tabs to start. The reason I have multiple Firefox windows open is because one window is always a media player window, for listening to online music (opens in a new window and is not full screen, could be tabbed but like having it available when I want to skip to next soung). The other two windows each had 7+ tabs open in each of them. One is usually a work window or in progress window and the other is general browsing and other stuff to do. I usually work with two windows because I don't like having 20+ tabs open, although often still happens even with multiple windows. Thanks for the information Kip, was just curious. Nice to see some non Microsoft Windows desktops Johnk, your UBUNTU DESKTOP looks good. Nice to see a Vista desktop too Zylstra, looks good. I like that wallpaper. Here is mine. The reason for the desktop clutter is that I download lots of programs from Giveawayoftheday. I actually really never use most of them. Also, so I won't have to answer this later, the little box in bottom right-hand-corner of the desktop is a cool little program called RUBBER Ducky. |

Solve : Any Xbox Live Gamers?? |
Answer» Hey I was wondering if any one here is an Xbox 360 Gamer!!! And has live. If so add me! II SteaIth II From awsome selection of Xbox Live Enabled Games to Xbox live arcade and chatting with friends it's all fun! Being able to shoot off a guys head in GOW (Guy happens to be playing in Korea) Makes Xbox live worth while. There aint nothing fun by having to fork over £40 just to be able to be able to play other real people. ChrisThats a choice your going to have to make the 40 dollars gives you access to downlaoding game demos, gamerpics, themes etc plus it pays for the servers that you have to go into. Look at all the games there so many servers! Plus what do you expect you have to pay to play good things now.. "World of Warcraft"!Thats the thing though! For you lot in the States it's $40, for us in the UK it's £40, plus you get way more content then us. So were paying more, for less. Microsoft are robbing us blind. As for paying for the demo's you get them FREE on a Silver account. Servers are user made, Microsoft don't create the servers, we do, and if im honest most of the servers are filled with 10 year OLDS who just don't shut up and constantly keep singing down the microphone. And im quite happy with my current theme (that carbon one with the background of me and some lasses). If Sony can provide it for free with the PS3, then why cant Microsoft, who lets face it, are alot more well off them Sony. Though I will agree with you that when there isn't all these 5 year olds, and you do find a decent server, it can be fun. However when I had my months free trial I went on once or twice with like 4 of my mates, and now their all banned ChrisWell it seems like 6 million users don't really care about the cost so leave it at that. If you wanna play people in the states or canada join. If you don't then don't easy as that..Great point that Chris made about 10 year olds... I may have been 10 at one point in my life, but my goodness! They flood the world these days! 40$ for a network connection? Thats a lot! More than my 100MBPS FiberOptic internet connection! From what I have found, Demos dont tend to be all that great. They tend to leave a lot out, since its a demo.... I cant afford the games anyhow. It's $40 a year. Plus. Theres also a feature called "Mute" Learn it and Love it!Oh, a year, I thought it was a month! (Silly me) I guess it would be interesting Nevertheless, I dont think I like the idea of chat. multiplayer might not be that bad, but I wouldn't do too well in that competition... Quote from: || Stealth || on June 06, 2007, 02:47:32 PM It's $40 a year. Plus. Theres also a feature called "Mute" Learn it and Love it!No because on most servers i might as well turn off all my speakers..... Live is swarming with spoilt brats. When i had my free trial, im not lying, one family had a domestic argument over it whilst there was a full server of who was gonna pick up the kids from their friends house. Thats how pathetic it is. Anyway i don't go on my 360 enough as it is to invest in live, and when your saving up for Leeds Fest tickets, £40 is alot. ChrisIf some people don't want to mute every ne you could also just put your headset in turn the volume down either put the head set on or let it sit somewhere the cord is long enough.. Just my suggestions. I have not yet experienced "Buying" live. I just get lucky with my 13 Month Free Pass!. Plus another 3 Months Free. "I" know now when my live runs out "I" will be buying more. "I" Enjoy it to death. I love the aspect of playing people all over the world. And "I" rarely encounter an annoying person. some people may and automaticly think "Live Sucks". Get over it. "I" find that for SOMEONE who would have to pay for it, it is worth the money.. Anyways Stealth out!I play on Xbox Live but lately I have taken a break. It's getting old it's a slow time right now.. Summer is always so SLOW.... |

Solve : SPAMMING!!!!!!!!!? |
Answer» I think these notifications are an awesome thing. I've been a member of other forums who would just kill your account, sometimes just bc they didn't like you.... but the kind, caring folks here at CH are a bit more sensible (btw, for those of you with a warped sense of sarcasm... this isn't sarcasm.) ... i voted anyway Think this would get more views and participation if it was in the Off topic section, moving this thread there..Personally, I don't think I've ever spammed a forum. Having had it done to me, I know it's not nice and just results in extra work. I've never had a spam notification or a warning of any kind on any forum so far. I'm a good boy . . .I'm a good boy too. Mostly. I've been banned from plenty of chat rooms, but I can't think of any forums I was banned from. Well, I was banned from the Spawn message board for about a week for making a banner of Steve Hamady (a McFarlane employee) with the caption "Got BC?" (BC = Birth Control) He took offense because he thought I was referring to his children. When I explained to him that I actually meant that his parents should've used birth control, he unbanned me. And that's my story.I think i'll start visiting you're chat rooms CHRIS and see what you've been up to... Heh, I'm really not so bad these days. But I could quite troublesome when I was younger. I remember when one girl was on 50/50 or 60 Minutes because she was abused or something and she made a teen community site (it had "goose" or "duck" in the name, I believe). This was back before even Friendster. For some reason, it really upset me, so I found her site and trolled the chat rooms until they banned the *censored* out of me.hopefully i havent spammed a forum/topicI have never spammed a forum but,I have been a little looney at times and posted spam. This caused an administrator friend of MINE to swat me like a fly but,he is still my friend. So....... This is my kind of SPAM And theres lots of ways to deal with it. SPAM Recipesmmmmmmmmm Mmmm.... Spam Hot and Spicy!Ok 1st of SPAM is a nasty meat yuk haha , and 2nd i opened my own forum not to long ago on proboards , it was so i could make my own forum for a game i really love , and i got a fair amount of hits , untill a spammer comes in clamming to be DACA the admin from www.shockplay.com , saying hes going to plug my site and have it put all over shockplay at 1st i was a FOOL for this guy on top of the world in fact then i was CHECKING i-ps one day in the admin area only to find , he was joined with 2 names DACA AND llcoolj so i banned both i-ps then he used this site http://pzoomer.com/ to gain access even though i banned him , my forum has been dead for a while due to him coming and going when he pleases, so a few people have set off in a hunt for this guy , and when they find the critcal information they need the guys going down hard ...... He must of posted 25 diffrent threads in my forum and he actually got replys from my members which was anoying because they had joined , under the impression it was a safe site , now i cnt do anything with my site untill i know hes out the picture. Cheers for reading Quote from: street1 on May 30, 2007, 04:58:14 PM I have never spammed a forum but,I have been a I am??? Who says??? Just kidding! Apologizes for the 2 week bump, but yes san ann was a very complex game, in the fact that you could customize your player, you could customize your car; you could fly a 747, DRIVE tanks etc. But Gta4 makes up for it with the hugely detailed map, i have clocked the game twice but still have not memorized the map. Quote from: Annon on July 08, 2008, 08:54:06 PM Apologizes for the 2 week bump,No worries. It is a pretty cool game. |

Solve : How many computers do you have WORKING?? |
Answer» actually THERES since in that. all the version of windows, up to the Win NT family of OS's were based upon DOS. Windows NT, 2K, XP ,and Vista arent based on dos which makes it self-realiant. Win ME was the last OS to be based upon DOS(16-bit)I thought that where all dos based? Well Learning as I go.no The NT(INCLUDING NT x.x, 2000, XP, Vista) family of OS's where the first to be self-reliant without the need for DOS. Thats interesting, so in theory I dont need to have an understanding of dos too much to fix these. Working on one pc that was working. yea if you need to fix a computer with an NT OS.Thats good, was able to fix it dvd drive problems.i own 5. only have 4 hereI think eleven, I have a dell,a custom build, another custom build I got for FREE, another dell. My dads compaq, his dell, another dell, dell laptop. some old laptop, custome build, another custom build we got for free with linux. These all work too working on another two builds. |

Solve : Good Bye World Of Warcraft.? |
Answer» Well everything has to come to a end , and blizzards fantastic game world of warcraft has finally ended for me , reaching the top level and getting the best gear for my class as possbile , Ive now got nothing to do . So i just sold my wow account to a close FRIEND who i played with . Now I'm STARTING Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures the game is amazing . Fantastic PVP and RVR. PVP = Player Vs. Player What is RVR? REALM vs. Ream. Think of it as world PVP with objectives that affect the overall game. If you're familiar with WOW it's not like the PVP mini games that you join but kind of like how it was on PVP servers at Hillsbrad before they started doing the mini PVP games.I hate WoW i got to lvl 61 but it was pretty boring i play FrugooscapeI still like WoW. I've played it since launch and I still play it Never got into WOW. I liked Sioms A LOT when I was little. I still play a bit, not so much though. I think I'm a Halo Fanatic. Freak. Solve : Opinion of macs? |
Answer» Just wanted to get some general OPINIONS on macs .Macs don't impress me because they're so expensive, and seem to me to be more "STYLE" than substance. I prefer more functional-looking things to flashier onesJust like Vista, I don't care about it's graphics and effects, I just want it to work. There is also software compatibility issues.Epic waste of money.... buy a PC for half the price of a mac with the same specs, plus you get to play games. I saw this hillarious pic on the internet some time ago, linux was an AK-47, windows was a desert eagle, and mac was something inappropriate *cough* and it said choose your weapon. Actually, some test show that windows xp runs better on a mac than a pc. Solve : Pirating question? |
Answer» This is a hypothetical SITUATION, meaning not real. The difference between pig [email protected]%T, movies, music and software is pig [email protected]%t can be composted. Are you saying that because "movies, music and software" are "pig [email protected]%T" you want them? And how does that make it free? Last time I checked hog manure cost money, so I don't see how such an analogy would stand. If you can't afford car, that doesn't entitle you to steal it, and don't try to retort with some REAL pig [email protected]%T about how software is any different. Maybe it is, but not according to the law. So although pirates everywhere can try to justify themselves as being in the right by making up excuses about outrageous pricesor how software should be free or how hard it is to find a store that sells it or how important it is that you have that 30k$ 3d modelling program for no reason, it won't make a difference as to the legality of the matter. Given, they seem to be having trouble enforcing it, what with the cowardly nature of pirates everywhere (unlike REAL pirates, who will actually draw their SWORDS and fight a vessel that is set to capture them, software pirates hide on an "island"(country with more lax enforcement) until the sea is clear, and then send out a torrent throughout the sea. Quote from: warpuck on June 26, 2008, 10:41:26 AM Birds of a feather flock together, and now it seems your comparing software to a new car, so which is it? pig [email protected]%T or a car? What is the DCMA?sorry, DMCA (not DCMA), "Digital Millenium Copyright Act"The DCMA is a US law, however the EUCD covers a similar topic in the EU, and the Copyright & Patents Act 1988 in the UK specifically.Oh, for some reason, I thought it was something a bunch of countries agreed to enact. them again, if Britain got it I'm sure we here (your loyal subjects) in Canada would have soon followed, but our copyright laws are fairly weak as far as I can tell. Quote from: BC_Programmer on June 27, 2008, 12:40:21 PM Is Britain under the influence of the DCMA? Don't they have some way of reporting things?Does anyone here understand warpuck, or is it just me? Quote from: kpac on July 13, 2008, 03:28:11 AM Does anyone here understand warpuck, or is it just me? Does it matter? ...I think not.I suppose you're right! I think that all we need to know about pirating is that its BAAAAAAADDDD...... ISNT it?Nice add! Here is part of my canned speech for file sharing programs. It is also important to note that sharing entertainment files and proprietary software infringes the copyright laws in many countries over the world and you are putting yourself at risk of being indicted through ORGANIZATIONS watching over the rights of the authors of such files (i.e. the RIAA for music files, or the MPAA for movie files in the USA) or the authors of the files themselves. |

Solve : The Best Video Game Vehicle :)? |
Answer» Mine would have to be Rex from MGS1 + MGS4 Annon can you link to G mod That may help Edit: http://www.garrysmod.com/ (I always forget the link ) Quote from: BC_Programmer on July 08, 2008, 05:27:16 AM I have to say the best vehicle of movement in any game is Yoshi. Some might not call him a vehicle, and I'd have to partially agree, but I really just had to insert a retro game into this thread somehow. From Mario? The green crocodile thing? Quote from: Annon on July 09, 2008, 09:26:10 AM Quote from: BC_Programmer on July 08, 2008, 05:27:16 AMI have to say the best vehicle of movement in any game is Yoshi. Some might not call him a vehicle, and I'd have to partially agree, but I really just had to insert a retro game into this thread somehow. lol yeah- I mean, can any of the other vehicles simply eat the enemies? I mean, sure, they can vaporize them or fill them with led or what have you, but do they put on the facade of a cute and innocent looking yoshi? No, most are obviously machines for DESTRUCTION. an enemy sees you coming on a giant killer robot, their gonna run, you come into town on a small green lizard, their just gonna laugh, at least until the lizard eats them. I tried looking at Super Mario World objectively the other day, and it started feeling much darker. I mean, Bowser never actually killed anybody, and yet Mario and Luigi in their quest to "get to know" the princess, are killing all these goombas and koopas, that for all we know are just on their WAY to work. and then there's yoshi, I mean, you eat a koopa, and you spit out an empty shell- I can imagine yoshi sucks out the delicious koopa from inside it. All to the tune of happy music.my favorite would have to be my rocket-firing, flying warthog in halo 2.I'd say a Chocobo from final fantasy. I've always had this odd fantasy to do with riding a chicken, i figure it's the closest i'll ever get. Quote from: BC_Programmer on July 09, 2008, 03:52:07 PM
But in a fight to the death. Edit: The Metal Gear REX has near-impenetrable compound armor, a pair of vulcan cannons, anti-tank missiles, and a free-electron laser, and the ability to attack by kicking or ramming, to protect itself from conventional forces. Its primary weapon, however, is a magnetic railgun capable of delivering an untraceable nuclear warhead anywhere in the world, without the propellant trail or launch flare that gives away the launch position of a traditional ballistic missile. Answer» thank you Quote from: ephemeridos on August 27, 2009, 03:11:57 PM wow!!! thanks for this article. you don't know how happy i am right now. i've done many researches on my own and this is an INFROMATION that i have needed. i'm suffering from HT an autoimmune disorder. hopefully they can cure it the same way as MS. i was reading recently that all autoimmune disroders occure in tymus that is a lung gland and an important part of the lymph system. You're most welcome...Good Luck Quote from: Karnac on August 12, 2009, 05:59:58 PM http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/08/090811143725.htmI know a few people with MS, so I'm glad to know about this research. thank you karnac. this article explains a bit more http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/10/071009071117.htm many years ago, when i was diagnosed with HT, NON of the doctors would clarify me about my illness. that reminded me on the movie "Lorenzo's Oil". I was encouraged by the efforts of Lorenzo's parents to do quite the same - to educate myself. i started to research both HT and ALD. at one point i stopped to read about ALD as i thought it's not the same illness. Last year, when Lorenzo DIED I started to search more on ALD. Something inside of me has forced me to do so. i found out about the myelin project founded by his father and there i found more information about related disorders. when i was reading about MS i have found the connection to my disorder. the key-word was - antibodies. in this article it explains how natural human antibodies made through genetical engineering can cure the myelin in mices without any side effects. it frightens me now that i was thinking the same - how abut to use antibodies inspite sinthetic hormons to cure my illness. the thought came when learning that my antibodies have a failure in FUCTION and can not recognize my own cells and how it would be to replace them with healthy antibodies. the sinthetic hormons that i use every morning are just a substitue for the natural hormons insuficience that can not be produced by the thyroid but they are no cure for the illness itself. that should be the process which could cure the HT too. i would love to talk with a specialist and would even agree to be the first human to test the therapy. i wish to find contact to the specialists that already work on this experiment. since i was diagnosed with diabetes last year, my selfcreated diet based on rapeseed oil with fetty-acids, i have lost 20lbs in few months. the rapeseed oil that i use is not of the same quality as Lorenzo's oil but it was still effectful.if you could remove the ....... an add a protein chain. I forgot I had it..... >< |
