Answer» <html><body><p>Hello guys<br/> I have a slight problem. I am <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/running-1192206" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about RUNNING">RUNNING</a> a Windows Server 2008 machine, which I want to run a <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/domain-248447" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about DOMAIN">DOMAIN</a> on my <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/network-236637" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about NETWORK">NETWORK</a>. I have installed the role and ran DCPROMO to install the role, along with DNS, but I am having some problems. I have a static IPV4 address, and the static DNS address points back to the server. My Windows 7 Professional machine will not find the domain. The domain is <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/called-907796" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about CALLED">CALLED</a> DOMAIN. The server will find the Windows 7 computer and vise versa on the network page, but I am still having no luck!<br/><br/>Do I need to configure DNS after the DCPROMO wizard? Any help would be greatly appreciated. ThankyouAre you sure you called the domain "DOMAIN" rather than "DOMAIN.LOCAL"?<br/><br/>Are you running DHCP anywhere on this network?<br/><br/>Yes, you should configure DNS on the domain controller. IIRC, there's a wizard in the Server <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/manager-239636" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about MANAGER">MANAGER</a> for this.</p></body></html>
