Solve : C:\windows\installer files? |
Answer» <html><body><p>question is, are the installer files important to keep around? they're <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/taking-1238585" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about TAKING">TAKING</a> up 1.4 gb of <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/space-239477" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about SPACE">SPACE</a> on a 16gb drive, so I kind of want them gone if possible. operating system is server 2003 if it makes a difference. Is this installer files for your server's hardware? You <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/could-410026" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about COULD">COULD</a> write it into a CD and be in handy if circumstances need it.I don't <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/know-534065" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about KNOW">KNOW</a> if they're hardware install files..... it's kind of the whole reason I posted my question. I don't know what they are. The files have a random assortment of letters and numbers followed by either *.msp or *.msi<br/>And I'm not about to copy all those files to a cd. If they're important, then they need to stay there. If not, I'm not going to try to keep track of them on a cd.<br/><br/>Also, a correction. The <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/path-11833" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PATH">PATH</a> is C:\Windows\inf\Installer\, not C:\Windows\Installer.you know add/remove programs? Well most of the applications in there won't uninstall if you delete those files...<strong>The path on my XP is c:/windows/installer</strong></p></body></html> | |
