Solve : Help with win 10 to win 7?

Answer»

Ok so, my desktop has win 7 and it doesnt have a wifi card and the router is too FAR away to plug it in. I am trying to use my win 10 laptop to share the wifi through an ethernet cord, But when I BRIDGE the connections from the wifi to the ethernet on the laptop and plug it in my desktop it takes a few seconds to recognize and then pops up a message "Windows has detected an IP address conflict", "Another computer on this network has the same IP address as this computer." then talks about contacting an admin about this issue. I have no idea how to fix this. After closing out this message the internet works for a couple sites, mainly you-tube, but most others say 'ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED'

Desktop: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03141285
Only difference is smaller hard drive and 8 gb of ram.
Laptop: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03898001
Only difference is 8 gb of ramYou would be better off just using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) versus a bridge.
How would i go about doing that?Get a long cord or get a Wi-If USB thing.
About $10 by mail or even at some local stores.
From my experience, they all work about the same.
From Amazon:
Edimax-EW-7811Un-150Mbps
Before proceeding, you need to undo the bridge first.

On the laptop.
Go to the Network Connections screen → Right click on the Wireless Network Adapter → Select Properties → Select Sharing Tab → Check both Boxes → Click on SETTINGS → Check the Options needed (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, ETC...) Click "OK" until you are back to the Network Connection screen.

Plug in the Ethernet cable into both systems, wait about 90 seconds and see if the Win7 computer has internet. If not, restart the Win7 computer and check again.

Do i check all the boxes?
:EDIT: ok thanks EVERYONE who helped
