Solve : How to format a Windows partition?? |
Answer» <html><body><p>Hello,<br/><br/>I would like to format Windows 10, but I also have a partition installed with Kali Linux. However I do not care if Kali Linux is also uninstalled, but I do prefer to format only the Windows partition. I just want to know the right way to do it.<br/><br/>Best Regards,<br/>Nicolas V.I would prepare a Gparted bootable CD and format the partition using that.<br/><br/><a href="https://www.lifewire.com/use-gparted-to-partition-hard-drive-2205693">https://www.lifewire.com/use-gparted-to-partition-hard-drive-2205693</a><br/><br/><a href="https://gparted.org/download.php">https://gparted.org/download.php</a><br/>I'm assuming this Win10 partition is currently in use and after the format, you'll be reloading Win10?<br/>if that's the case, why not just do the reload and during that process, Windows offers the option to play around with partitions. (<a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/create-427332" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about CREATE">CREATE</a>, delete...)<br/>Just wondering if you could just pop in the windows 10 cd or <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/usb-11337" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about USB">USB</a>, boot to it, and delete all the partitions and <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/stuff-25659" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about STUFF">STUFF</a> the win10 setup sees so that it's just one big unallocated space and install windows 10 onto it.<br/><br/>Assuming you would like to start from nothing.</p></body></html> | |
