Solve : Is changing the Default Installation Drive a bad practice??

Answer» <html><body><p>I did it via regedit with these <a href="https://www.itechtics.com/change-default-installation-folder-windows-10/">instructions</a>.<br/>But now some of my apps' shortcuts in the Start up menu are no longer working. It's no big deal, I just removed them from the Start up menu, <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/found-458144" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FOUND">FOUND</a> their respective executable files, and put them in the taskbar instead. It's not ideal, but the new shortcut does call the executable successfully.<br/>I hope I won't find any serious issues down the road.<br/>Does anyone know if this is a known bad practice that will <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/affect-851195" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about AFFECT">AFFECT</a> Windows 10 in an important way?<br/><br/>Thanks in advance guys<br/><br/>DPCIt eventually will because the pointers in the reg are all listed to the original destination <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/drive-959713" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about DRIVE">DRIVE</a>...<br/>Just curious why did you need to do this ? ?<br/><br/>If you are speaking of newly installed apps you should have no issues...As patio said, you won't have any problems other than having to change your <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/current-240611" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about CURRENT">CURRENT</a> shortcuts. I'm guessing you installed a second, larger drive or created a larger partition? In any event, not a big deal - Windows doesn't care where your files are.</p></body></html>
