Solve : NTVDM64 and PIF to LNK - possible?? |
Answer» <html><body><p>Hi!<br/><br/>I have installed NTVDM x64 on 64-bit <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/windows-22662" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about WINDOWS">WINDOWS</a> 10 allowing me running 16-bit DOS software.<br/>Some programs have <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/pif-591453" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PIF">PIF</a> what was used also in Windows 3.x. Also if I want to create LNK to EXE, it always creates PIF.<br/>I know that's in NTVDM normal, but <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/outside-1143075" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about OUTSIDE">OUTSIDE</a> NTVDM it works not and displays message that program is not compatible with current Windows and cannot run.<br/><br/>I tried to create links to them, but it always copies PIF <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/file-11330" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FILE">FILE</a> in selected location.<br/><br/>I want to ask if is possible to create simple LNK (link/shortcut) file to any DOS program or LNK from PIF. Maybe it is possible to create link to DOS program by calling NTVDM with command line options, but don't know how.<br/>Is it possible?<br/><br/>Thank you for all.<br/>Miro</p></body></html> | |
