Solve : HOW TO UNINSTALL OPERATING SYSTEM FROM A DRIVE.? |
|
Answer» HI GUYS, HI GUYS, I don't understand, you want to uninstall Windows XP that it's INSTALLED in the C: drive, and you would like to INSTALL Windows Server 2003 on C: and then delete the W2k3 installed in D:? If is "YES" the answer about my question, you have to install everything again, it's simply, you could make it directly from the partition manager that is included on the Windows Server 2003 Installer CD. Why? Because the primary partition is C: and have Windows XP, and you have W2K3 installed on D: who is a secondary partition, and you couldn't transfer everything to C: because it will broke a lot of functions in the registry and OS kernel. You could manually format the D: partition from WXP and delete the boot menu interface, then you could reinstall only W2K3. caps in forums kinda suggests shouting. about your problem, simply format drive D as drmsucks mentioned, this will erase everything on D. friny, by boot menu interface, do you mean the windows BOOTLOADER? yea, you will want to erase the windows server boot entry from the boot loader. If you would like to "uninstall" xp, just format c drive, erasing everything on drive C. if you want to do so without any existing OS, just use a bootable drive format utility, such as acronis, or partition magic. |
