From the research I have done the usual solutions are failing or not working correctly. If any one has experience with hyper v or has has this issue please let me KNOW some tricks I can try.Can we have a bit more info like what is your base operating system. Is it Hyper V 2008 Server or a full Windows 2008 install. Is it 2008 R2.it is a 2008 server running hyper-v. The vm was working until a few weeks ago. Have tried removing and re setting up the service on the system with no avail. Check the Event Viewer for the first occurrence of this problem. Also see if an update was installed before then. If so, try removing it and rebooting. If I change it to my account I get "the user does not have the required permissions" errors.
