Answer» Hi all, I have a issue which is confusing me. Basically, I have 2 network printers at work, 1 is a Brother printer and the other is an HP. So here's is problem. The Brother printer WORKS perfectly on all computers WITHIN my work and the desktop remote access connection. However, sometimes the printer DISAPPEARS at times and to GET it working I need to restart the remote access. Any reason why the Brother printer disappears at times with no reason?
The second issue is the HP printer. The printer works on all computers in my work but it does not work on the remote access. Do I need to install the HP drivers onto the server which I am accessing on remote access?
ThanksOnly reason i can think of would be power management... Right clik the Brother in Contral Panel/Device Manager...and uncheck "let Windows turn this device off to save power."...
Dumb MS default setting if you ask me.
As to the 2nd question the answer is Yes.Fair enough. I will have a look at the power saver rubbish. What about if that isn't the problem? Any other fixes? An update - Installed HP drives on server and now it work's perfectly.
I STILL have the issue on 1 computer - The printers just seem to disappear? This only happens on 1 computer and not the other, maybe slow network card? I tried to do the power saver rubbish but there is no option for this. The network card itself may have that power feature...check it also in Device Manager...
