am not GETTING out with this problem....  one of my SERVER is not showing LAN IP address...  it showing some UK static ip( checked in www.whatismyip.com) . This am getting from domain server only.. when i checked with desktop top it showing LAN IP.

I tried to keep one IP in Reservation (DHCP) for this server... but it showing "inactive".

could anybody tell me why its happening...

server OS : windows 2003 R2

How many servers do you have?
You say you are a beginner.
Did you do the installation of the server?
Did you recently cahnger anything?
Have you done a Google search on the topic?

Is that any help?thanks for help.... i already searched for that... the IP which am getting is for "unallocated.barefruit.co.uk". I am an middleware admin and even deal with some OS related issues( installed and configured win 2003).

I didn't see like this issue before...  Is it automatic IP or manual ?

IPV4 or IPV6 ?

Do you have more than DHCP Server in your network ?The issue has to do with how EXTENDED domains names are done in the UK.
