Solve : Test Server?

Answer»

I made a virtual 2003 Server or 08 Server on my main machine that I use. Thing is that I'm installing AD,Intergrated DNS an setup a DHCP scope. Turned off DHCP on the Router an when I try joinin a client I get 23D3 as a stop code. I had no issues when I first setup the actual thing but, I done this too see where the issue is at.Good evening Ryuk and welcome BACK

OK so is it 2003 or 2008 and am i safe to assume it is 64 bit and what RC is it?

What VM are you using?

Is this server already joined into a domain?

Am I safe to assume the BOX meats all MS hardware req?

What is the total error "23D3" is not ringing any bells with me.

Hope to hear from you soon, Mike
its the 86X verison. Microsofts Vitrual Machine. The server its self physically does. 0x000023D3 is the stop codeQuote from: Ryuk on July 30, 2012, 03:03:03 PM

its the 86X verison. I am not trying to be a wise guy but I am assuming this is a typo 0x000232D3 because I am not finding a whole lot on this. Everything I can find is on 0x000023d3.

Can you log into the SYSTEM get into the event log. The error mainly points to a memory error. Either from wrong size PAGE file (incorrect values) a virtual memory error with in the Virtual OS (from bad reg modification) and this is not mentioned but maybe there is a real physical memory issue.

I have to find the other links but here is one http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325044 this is not a dead ringer but maybe this will help you find the problem. The odd part is only getting the error only when joining a PC to the server. I still will keep on digging too.

All IP info is correctly set on router / PC's / server. Am I safe to assume the server is the only DC or is the server already joined into another domain.

I hope this helps some,
I am still thinking, Be back soon. This is currently, the only one that Im attempting to get working right know. I left deco on the router so it could issue the ip. I turned it off an still have the same issuecan someone help? I still havent been able to get this workingI think that I need to point the client to the Server an make sure that the SERVER is useing the loop back for DNSResolve the issues with the actual server it seem that I need to give the client the DNS number of the server and make sure that the server handle loopback as the DNS. I was able to successfully join them
