Answer» <html><body><p>my computer config:Intel core i5-2450M CPU.2,50 GHz,.8GB RAM,64 bit OS,Windows 7 Home Basic<br/><br/>I had installed Windows <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/server-11236" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about SERVER">SERVER</a> 2008 on different partition and <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/trying-3234509" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about TRYING">TRYING</a> to Install Exchange Server 2010 64 Bit but it errors out<br/>"This installation package is not <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/supportedbrbr-3090749" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about SUPPORTED">SUPPORTED</a> by this processor type"<br/><br/>Please help me ASAPRan into a similar issue years ago with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Professional 2002 on a Celeron 733Mhz. I figured since it stated it would run on a Pentium II 450Mhz that a Celeron 733Mhz would work, but I got the same error message and Microsoft Support told me to get a Pentium Class Processor system to run it on, so $600 later I installed it on a Pentium 4 2Ghz without issues.<br/><br/>In your situation the only <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/hit-1028201" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about HIT">HIT</a> I find online for this processor incompatibility is with people trying to run Exchange Server 2010 in a virtual environment, although there are lots of complaints of i5 having issues with Server 2008 OS.<br/><br/>Not sure if your running into this CPU config issue with Server 2008 <a href="https://www.tomshardware.com/forum/334844-28-2500-features-missing">http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/334844-28-2500-features-missing</a>I am not trying to install on Virtual environment..plain setup i tried for Exchange Server 2010 64 Bit..<br/><br/><a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/unless-774664" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about UNLESS">UNLESS</a> I'm misinterpreting Microsoft's specs, you need a Xeon processor to run Exchange (seems strange though). Alternatively, you could run it in Hyper-V and tell it that it has a Xeon.<br/><a href="https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd346699%28v=exchg.141%29.aspx">http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd346699%28v=exchg.141%29.aspx</a><br/><a href="https://www.intel.com/support/processors/xeon/sb/cs-012580.htm">http://www.intel.com/support/processors/xeon/sb/cs-012580.htm</a><br/></p></body></html> | |
