Solve : Windows 1803 Update Keeps failing.? |
Answer» <html><body><p>Windows Update 1603 keeps failing on Toshiba Windows 10 Laptop.<br/>Was originally a Windows 7 machine but was force upgraded.Assuming you have plenty of <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/free-240724" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FREE">FREE</a> space for the update to take?<br/><br/>Curious how it was force upgraded? ( Did you have product key <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/issues-520128" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ISSUES">ISSUES</a> or something else )<br/><br/> Did you not go through the normal Windows 10 installation? <br/><br/>A clean install of Windows 10 might be the <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/fix-991779" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FIX">FIX</a> and you shouldn't have to force its install. If he has another PC nearby, he can do these steps:<br/>1. Make a "Live" Linux CD that has has a partition manage.<br/>2. Boot up the CD and <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/use-241643" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about USE">USE</a> GPARD **to resize the partition.<br/>3. Prepare a USB or DVD with current version of the 1803 build.<br/>4. Install new copy of Windows 10 in the free space. <br/><br/>This does not violate EULA. The old install has the information that validates the re-install of Windows on the same machine.<br/><br/>** An alternative is to make a bookable CD with <strong>Easeus partition manage</strong>r.<br/><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2XHW5HYkzM">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2XHW5HYkzM</a><br/>what error message/code do you get when the update fails? I succeeded by downloading the ISO for v1803 to a folder on C:\ , and running the SetUp from there. <br/><br/>It depends on the PC, because I have also done the upgrade on a different PC without any hassle. I did it from the USB <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/stick-653228" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about STICK">STICK</a> - mounted the ISO, and clicked on SetUp.</body></html> | |
