Solve : Windows Remote 2008 Server? |
Answer»

Im useing an Admin Account to login to. I havent had this issue in a while an seemed like was the path that was pointing to it which, I had checked an is looking at the Server. I put in the a shined password an cant login an tried even changeing it to a new one only to have it still not login me in. Server 2008 - Windows XP SP 3 Remote DesktopDoes it come up with invalid password or any other error message?

And guessing Caps Lock or Num Lock is not issue when typing password? Its a combination of a number an one upper case letter an small letters. I can connect too it but, it wont take the password that I know it isThat's not what David asked...
Please read the question and supply the answer...I just wanted to note that but, no I DONT have that stuff on. Just comes up that its not the right passwordIf Num Lock is not on you wont get numbers from keypad ... if you are using keypad... If you have a key pad and want to use the numbers function it has to be Num Lock ENABLED.

One other thing to CHECK is that the Caps lock is not enabled on the computer by which you are connecting to via RDP. MENTIONING this only because a long time ago with a SOFTWARE called PC Anywhere I dealt with an issue where Caps lock was enabled on the server, so when I was authenticating to the server, as crazy as it may sound I had to have my Caps Lock key ON on my laptop to inverse the Caps lock function on the Server for lower case input. RDP and PC Anywhere are like Apples to Oranges, but its worth a try if enabling Num Lock doesn't help you.

| |
