#2...What OS (operating system) Windows 7?
#3...Is the laptop under warranty?
#4...When you plug the mouse into the PC does windows tell you it can not install it or recognize it.
#5...Go into the device manager when that is open look up TOP for "view" then click on show hidden devices and is there any yellow !

1. Yes, all my USB ports have the same problem.

Answer» HELLO, I have a HP DV6-6173cl laptop. Recently, I installed Windows 8 after I swapped to a new hard drive, and I need to reinstall my graphics drivers. My laptop has both Intel HD 3000 and Radeon HD graphics. The graphics drivers were found pretty quickly, for AMD and Intel both bad updated their graphics drivers to support Windows 8. However, when I try to install the Radeon HD drivers, everything such as Catalyst control center installs perfectly fine, but the graphics driver always fails to install. Answer» I currently use the Intellipoint 6.20.182.0 mouse driver. It is not too bad as a mouse driver but... I have a TV-Tuner PROGRAM that really goes nuts on sound volume if I move the scroll wheel while that program has focus. The MS driver allows a few buttons to be reprogrammed for specific applications and I use that function. Unfortunately it does not allow the scroll wheel to be reprogrammed or disabled. From my searches I understand that there are other PROGRAMS that have "difficulties" with the scroll wheel, Access and some Adobe software comes to mind. I have found a code patch that can be used in Access and some workarounds for other programs but nothing for my problem. I can activate X-Mouse type mouse CONTROLS with Tweak UI which alleviates many of the scroll button problems when the mouse is moved AWAY from the TV-screen unfortunately X-Mouse causes other problems for many other programs. I use the magnify function in the Intellipoint driver activated with the scroll button. I also use the scroll wheel heavily in other programs. Are there any generic mouse drivers that have advanced feature similar to but better than Intellipoint? I have been unable to identify a MS web page that even lists the "features" available in their Intellipoint software. W-XP Pro SP1 AMD XP 2500+ 1GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 Note- SP2 crashes my system video drivers, no updates are available that will work with my TV tuner card.

I didn't realize this at first, so one of our clients actually has a 32-bit print server and a 64-bit print server (figured it was better that way at the time). ...and the reason your boss wants a 32-bit driver is because your print server is 64-bit and the workstations are 32-bit. I did this first without thinking of backing up drivers incase of not being able to find them, and to my luck, I could not find them on the net. The motherboard is D845GCL/D845GLCL Intel motherboard. Answer» Hi, I have a Dell C600 that I installed XP on and then the CURSOR started jumping all over the place. I found a fix some time ago that disabled the track BALL. Since then, I put in a NEW HARD drive and I'm back to the original problem again. Does anybody have a link, as I not sure if it came from Dell or Microsoft.Can you go into Device Manager and disable the track ball?How about going into the mouse properties through your CONTROL Panel?

Answer» I'm just bought my Maxtor PORTABLE HDD a couple of months ago. W/ this portable I'm feel so comfortable to keep all my personal data here & there. But suddenly today when i try to open it while its already connected to my PC the sign 'Access is Denied' pop up. Usually it will become autorun as well.I've tried uninstall USB Controllers through System Properties > Device MANAGER > Universal Serial Bus Controllers but it still happen. While I'm try to check it by OS Vista, the system asked me to format it. The problem is all my important data was INSIDE that drive.... Try to see if you can access it on another computer.Was it prematurely unplugged without using "safely remove hardware" ? ? Does it show up at all in Disk Management ? ? To get to Disk Management right click My Computer and select manage then disk management... Right click the drive and select properties. Post back with your findings. If it says raw your data is gone...Can we use System Restore like we did usually onto our PC?ermmmm maybe not possible to apply it i guess. Yesterday i already gave it to my IT officer, hopefully he could help to fix it. I'm going to share here whats an exactly the problem & solution it is soon when he come back. Make sure you tell us exactly what he says and make sure he does nothing to the drive until we know what the problem with it is.System Restore only works on the Windows drive/partition and only AFFECTS Windows System files. Laptops ship with a Driver CD and everything you need should be on there.Also...how exactly do you install those drivers. Many .exe files, you download from Lenovo, when you run them, they simply unzip. Then, you have to run "setup.exe" from unzipped folder.

Answer» Howdy. I installed a new hard drive, and figured out how to install and update the drivers (after visiting this sight), but am still unable to play videos using Windows Media Player. The player error reads that there's a picture resolution issue (I've played with it in varying degrees, to no AVAIL), and the Media Center message reads that there's still no decoder, which I've tried installing from AVS and DivX. I'm thinking about paying for one, but will be upset if I spend anymore MONEY trying to solve this problem. I'm able to watch DVDs using VLC, but I just want to know that everything on my computer works the way it should, and that the video may be watched using the Media Player because my boss will be watching a recorder presentation using that program. According to Driver Detective, I have about 6 PCi Bridge issues (which are system devices), and I think these are related to the video, as it's the only thing still inoperable. 4- INTEL(R) 8281G (ICH7 Family)... The only chipset driver in this set that seems operable is the Microsft UAA Bus Driver for High DEFINITION Audio (which might explain why the sound works). I tried installing the chipsets manually, but am required to save the inf. INFO on a floppy, and my computer doesn't have a port for floppies. I have a Gateway NX560X, and have visited the website to download Media Card drivers, but I get error messages (which I am unable to share because that page won't show right now). The one that I need, I think, is D20003-003-001 (Texas Instruments). Please help.You might want to also get the XviD codec (xvid.org). You can also try VLC player for your videos (videolan.org). It'll play just about any format. It nice, easy to use, and free. Try those and see if that doesn't get your videos playing.
