I know there isn't much text information to go on, but I'm ready to answer any QUESTIONS or ADDITIONAL details you might need.

I have checked to see if I have the needed services running.
I am not able to uninstall the various bluetooth drivers I INSTALLED because I don't know how. The method I do know, is to go into device manager and SELECT my usb BT adaptor and uninstall that way, but I can't find it under device manager, only under "view devices and printers".
I am not able to select "enable bluetooth" under the windows 8 windows. It SEEMS to permanantly greyed out.
Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

This is my first post on this forum, and I hope to get an answer asp Cheesy. I have(had) an external hard drive (one tra) working properly until yesterday. The hard drive failed to RUN when I restarted my computer. The first step I took to FIGURE out the problem was to listening to the sound of the hard drive to SEE if it is spinning. The sound was something like TICK, tick. So, I thought that the hard disk has had it. So, I opened the case (after putting it in fridge for an hour). There are two 500gb hard disks working together (RAID 0 I guess). I tried to connect each 500gb separately to my desktop. My desktop is able to recognize just one of the hard disks, but I have to format it in ORDER to use it (not the case cuz I need my files!!!) but it seems that both hard disks are working properly (no tick tick sound anymore).

Today, I bought a new SATA data cable and connect both hard disks to my desktop. Right now, in Computer Management I am able to see both hard disks. One is recognized as a ROW and the other is recognized as un-initialized.

my question is: do I have to do something so my desktop recognizes both hard disks as a one big hard disk (RAID) ? how can I retrieve all my files?

I recently put together a new computer, and in the process of of installing the USB 3.0 connector from the front of my GX500 case, I either bent numerous pins on the motherboard USB 3.0 header or the motherboard shipped that way and I inadvertently made matters worse. Anyway, that header on the motherboard is without a doubt unusable.

Since I don't really need the USB 3.0 functionality, I bought a USB 3.0 -> 2.0 adapter cable, connected one end to the connector on the front of the case and the other end into the USB 2.0/1.1 header on the motherboard. Unfortunately, when Windows 7 boots and I plug a device into the front ports of the case, Windows detects the front USB ports as "Unknown Device" within Device Manager yet says the driver is successfully installed. I've already DOWNLOADED the most current Intel chipset drivers for my motherboard, deleted and reinstalled all USB drivers, and all rear USB connections are working perfectly fine - it's just the two front ports that are connected from the case to the USB 2.0/1.1 ports via the adapter cable. I've tried both USB 2.0/1.1 headers on the motherboard, and I've tried plugging in several devices to the front USB ports, and this problem still persists.

I've ensured the connection inside the case is solid, yet I cannot get Windows to recognize the front USB ports. However, I have confirmed that power is being sent to the front ports because it charges my phone when I connect it to the front USB ports via MICRO USB connection. As a result, I'm inclined to think this is a driver ISSUE rather than a hardware issue. Any ideas? Do you HAPPEN to have a spare machine that you can test the adapter with? Just as a precaution in case the adapter is faulty.Sorry, missed the part where you said you tested the front side USB ports directly No problem. That was my first thought, too (that the adapter might be faulty) until I stumbled UPON the front ports successfully charging my phone. I do not have a spare machine (at least one that's handy; I only have my old PC that's now mostly disassembled) in the event one is needed.

Seriously, once it's unplugged from the wall, there is no electricity INSIDE. Desktop computers are pretty easy to service, everything is MODULAR and plugs together ONE way or another.

I just installed windows 7 in a dual boot with xp and I am having problems finding drivers. I have a sabrent USB-G802 wireless adapter and my GFX card is an integrated ati radeon 2100. I've been looking, but haven't found anything. It WOULD be great if someone could find these for me.If you have older computer, some drivers for 7 may not be out there.

Hi all. I have just got WINDOWS 10 and after installating it I INSTALLED common programs that I USE. I went through them a bit fast though and am now have problems with my xbox 360 controller.

I have a wireless receiver that I got on ebay and it's not the official one. While installing the drivers for the receiver rather than clicking 'choose my own driver' and choosing 'Microsoft common controller for windows' I choose the xbox 360 prehiperals one.

Now no matter what I do to reinstall the driver correctly I don't have the option to choose Microsoft common controller for windows anymore.

Does anyone KNOW what I can do to get this option back again so I can correctly install the driver??

By the way the receiver works and I know that it does work on windows 10 the same way it works on windows 7.Doesn't sound like they are Win 10 drivers...I think someone I know has done this but I'm not not 100% sure. I will find out if he did soon hopefully. Until then I'm going to use the ps4 controller which I'll set up tonight. If I get the ps4 one working I will be better off anyway.

Hey guys, I have a Kingston DataTraveler 101 G2 - USB flash drive - 4 GB and when I plug it in, it gives me a message that I need to format the disk. But when I'm TRYING to format it then it gives me this message : Windows was unable to format it.... so how can I fix it?Have you tried it from a different computer? Here are some personal OBSERVATIONS. A while back I purchased a quantity of cheap flash drives from an unknown source. Most of them eventually FAILED one way or the other. However, a few of them have survived down to this day.
I also have purchased a few of the famous brand-name drives, and these appear to be always reliable. But, I do have one exception among these drives. One of these drives I have purchased does not reliably work in one of my MP3 players that I bought more recently.
One WOULD think that by now the manufacturers would've sorted out these problems they have switched flash drives and the interface. But it looks like quality issues are still out there, especially with of low cost unknown manufacturers.
But it is surprising that the famous brand-name drive would give you troubles. There is the possibility that it was a fake or bogus drive. That is, it may have been re branded by somebody or it may have been taken out of the trash bin.
I think mechanical strength might be a flash drive reliability.

If you have windows 7 64 bit, and your old software was for Windows XP 32 bit, the drivers will not work.

The driver MODEL hasn't been changed since Vista so it should install and function on Windows 10.

All other things being EQUAL, any dual-core will be faster than any single-core, no matter what the speed. In other words, 1 dual-core at 2GHz is faster than 1 single-core at 4GHz. There are many other factors, like memory speed, hard drive speed, but most important for gaming is the graphics card. That's an interesting combo motherboard. Are you sure it's physically the same size, it's ATX form factor, HP appears to be micro-ATX? You're going to a lot of trouble trying to stuff that into the SFF case. Keep the HP as a backup and build a new computer. Case, psu and memory are the least expensive items. I was given a Toshiba laptop to do a clean install on.. And its angering me that Toshibas Driver page is not only very unorganized its hard to find too. I type the model number in or the serial and it says its non EXISTENT. Ive been manually getting DRIVERS but come on. Maybe someone can offer assistance. Its a Toshiba Satellite L750 Part Number: PSK1WC-0PU01S When i type satellite L750 none of the part numbers even match. What gives toshiba? Hi guys, maybe someone already had similar problem..

I reinstaled windows (already 2 times) with all new drivers (each and everyone is up to date)
But apparently there is problem with them... If i start up my pc everything is good, my ingame fps is fine..
But after 1 League of legends GAME (ingame even till the end of the game everything is fine), after 1 that game - my fps insta drops.. when i get back to windows - my fps is terrible.. - if i try next game - fps is awful..
So i have to restart pc after every game.. - if i restart my FPS again is perfect..

I use cooler (temperature is not a problem)
My thoughts are that there are for example NVidia driver, who somehow BLOCKS or crashes other driver, and after gaming experience it kinda blocks it. Is that possible?
I am pretty sure that problem is in drivers, becouse before everything was fine.. Problem STARTED right after I reinstaled windows..

Maybe there is sequence which drivers i should INSTAL first?

Drivers are from diferent places.. both times i tried diferently, but last time - i launched driver app - to get small frameshiiits and stuff and all the big ones either from driverscape or asus page, asus page gives me somehow old drivers.. there are newe elsewhere..
should i just take the asus pages drivers ?

If so it sounds LIKE the jumpers are not set properly.
The drive you boot from should be jumpered master w/slave...
The D: drive should be jumpered slave...
In addition they need to be connected properly on the ribbon cable:

MB=============================slave========master.

If they are SATA drives try using another SATA connector for D:

First of, i want to apologize if this post or the title isn't understandable or logic, my first language isn't English and the Spanish forum's aren't responding.
Anyway, i have an WD Elements 1048 with 2 TB since almost 2 years (with an USB 3.0) , it worked perfectly until on a vacation trip i connected it on a TV and it didn't show up. Back at home i tried to connect it to my computer (ACER Aspire X3990 with Windows 7, with Intel Core i3 2100, @ 3.10 GHz, 4GB Memory (RAM), using Avast and Malwarebytes) and it also didn't appear (2-3 weeks ago).
Here are something's that i already tried and observed while trying:

-When i plug it in it make's the sound that it has been connected and also the light on the HD goes on. It also appear's on the eject list but when i try to eject it, it only tell's me that it isn't able to do so.

-It also doesn't appear's on disk management or Device Manager.

I think at one point it did appear on devmgmt and i uninstalled it (because i still couldn't access it. Whenever i clicked on it, it just opened very slowly until it told me that there was an error), but it didn't re-appear since then. I also did a troubleshooting on safe mode and i restore my computer and it still didn't work. I did notice that my memory does disappear like crazy when i connect it, and i guess that's happening because of the computer creating new restore point's every time that i connect it? Could my HD have a virus or something like that?

-I also did a check on WD data lifeguard and everything did appear as okay.

-Whenever i unplug it, my computer tell's me that i have to format the disk before i can use it and when i plug it in again and try it, it tells me that window's cant do it.

Another STRANGE thing is that when i plug my external Hard drive in, the computer start to GET slower and my internet after a minute stop working. It happens every time, normally my internet work's perfectly but it just kind of stop's working whenever my hard drive is plugged in (?)

-No reaction from avast or malwarebytes

- I didn't try to connect it to another computer, that's the only thing left to do, and none of my friend's had have the time to help me

Apart from that i really tried everything and i don't know what else i can do on my own to fix it. I have no problem with losing memory aso. i just want to rescue what's left of this external hd

Let me try to help you. If you don't know the exact English word, go ahead and stick in the Spanish word that make sense to you some of us here are bilingual and we will try to understand.
Now in your case it would seem that the hard drive has been damaged when you tried to use it on a TV set.
If you have important data on the hard drive, you will have to send it to a special company that knows how to recover data from a damaged hard drive.
I think the hard drive is taking too much power from your computer and causing your computer cannot work reliably.
Perhaps you know somebody that has a USB hub with power. A USB hub with power can be used to power a device that's taking too much power from the computer.
However, I don't think that will cure your problem. I think the hard drive has been damaged to the extent that you will not be able to read the data off of it. The mechanical part of the hard drive, the disc and the MOTOR, probably will work okay. But it's the electronic assembly that has been damaged. It is possible to get a replacement for the electronic assembly and replace it yourself. But this may be more than what you are accustomed to do.
By the way, in what part of the world do you live? In some areas the cost of repair is actually lower than it would be here in the United States. Here in the United States is more economical to just buy a new portable hard drive.
Of course, you may have data on the hard drive that you wish to recover. That may be difficult or even impossible to do, depending on how much damage was done. I suspect the data is still there but cannot be read because of the damage done to the electronics.

There was (thanks god) nothing really important on that hard drive that i didn't backed up on my computer, so losing the data isn't so terrible
At one point i thought the same thing about the power affecting the computer, but the problem of where i life is that everything that has to do with electronic is very expensive, at least in official store's. There are a lot of street store's pero yo e tenido mala experiencia con esos. I live in Chile, but in some months i'm going to move to Germany, i hope that i can purchase there electronic stuff in much more cheaper prices. I purchased the disk in Thailand, it was a gift from my father.

I have 2 boxes of address labels (tractor drive). Is there any WAY I can use my old Canon BJ-200e to print on them?So, your labels are for a tractor drive printer and your printer is not a tractor drive printer, right? Do the label sheets have perforated lines along both sides to facilitate removal of the stripes of tractor drive holes?No perforated lines The labels are 3.5" wide and 31/32" long. from the beginning of one label to the beginning of the next label is1" the paper is 4 1/4" wide the sheets are fan fold and 6" long.I see, some old dot matrix labels. Well, I think you'll just have to experiment. I think you might be able to use them by adjusting your printer paper feed guides to a certain position, especially the left one, and aligning your label sheets next to the left guide. I imagine the best technique would be to separate/tear the label sheets into sets of two, i.e. two 6 inch sheets, rather than trying to run them as continue feed.

And, you'll probably need to experiment with printer settings in the software you use to print labels. Again, I think all you can do is experiment with this to see if you can get it to work. I have an old HP DV6000 Laptop but since I INSTALLED Windows 8.1 on it there is a driver called 'Unknown DEVICE' in my device manager I googled a lot for unknown device driver for HP D6000 but cannot find It I had Windows Vista on it previously and did not have this driver MISSING. My laptop is also compatible with the Windows and meets the requirements but still can't figure this driver out even the webcam is working, It does not affect my laptops performance or anything it is just in my head that I need to fix that missing driver. I installed Driver pack SOLUTION 2015 online and in Driver pack it finds the driver but when I press download it says 404 error not found :|.

I would appreciate a lot if someone can help me in solving this issue. Thanks in advance.

IR is a relatively niche tech that isn't used very often when it comes to laptop communication. Even in it's heyday it was a pain in the *censored*.

I have TRIED EVERYWHERE to get a DRIVER even from HP driver site and even with their live CHAT section. Every driver I have will not worrk all get is when I go to "view NETWORK" is hpsetup whcih is no connection.Which OS are you using?

Hi recently downloaded a program (driverscann)and(speedup my PC) it gave me a list of drivers that were out of date so I updated and installed them then I used speedup my PC and to optimize my computer it cleaned it from unnecessary things. when i was done it said restart so i did . the when windows started so many errors pop-ed up, it was crashing so I restarted to the best known good working configurations and my computer became more stable, but many programs ended up having missing or corrupted data so i reinstalled the programmes. when i restarted the computer the CD/DVD-ROM in driver manager has the yellow (!) on it so i put the data of the motherboard's CD in a usb to reinstall all the drivers because the computer now can't read cds. The CD/DVD-ROM still has the same problem, I even tried uninstalling it in safe mode but still the same problem. I can open and close the CD drawers, I have 2. the computer can see it and detected after uninstalling it and when it tries to install it it gives me this " Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)". when I went to system information- components- CD-ROM nothing is their. in event viewer-system I get the red error service control manager event 7026, description: the following boot-start or system start driver(s) failed to load: Cdrom. please help me i RAN out of ideas .

system: Microsoft windows xp professional, version 2002,service pack 3.

Use system restore to go back to a point before you did all this.In addition to what Allan has stated both those programs have less than stellar reviews on WOT and are known to drop malware....so you might want to run a few scans as well....and optical drives don't need any extra drivers...thank you for replying so quickly

unfortunately my computer has no restore point of before the disaster only after, I also scanned my computer and it's clean (I used mcafee and malwarebytes' anti malware) any other ideas please 1) First, does the registry cleaner have an "undo" feature? If so, try that. If that doesn't work:

Let's try a repair install. Boot to your XP CD and choose the SECOND repair option. This will install XP on top of itself and replace all system files with their original versions. After doing the repair install be sure to run Windows Update to reinstall of the security patches and updates. I can't promise this will fix your problem, but there is a reasonable chance it will.By the way, in the future PLEASE use a disk imaging utility on a regular basis. There are a few good FREE such utilities and they are worth their weight in gold. At the very least, download and run ERUNT on a regular basis to backup your registry.thanks, I did a backup of my registry before i cleaned it , so when things went wrong I used the restore backup in its options but it didn't do anything, i still had all the error messages pop-up, and that's when i started widows to the best known good configuration. my computer is now stable and working fine except for the DVD/cd-rom drivers after reinstalling my motherboared utilities.

I'll try your suggestion but I'll have to see if i can boot my computer USING a CD first.You should be able to boot to the CD. The problem with the drive(s) being recognized should only be after the OS loads.Okay I had this program with both my laptops. It isn't the program you using. There is only 2 ways to temporary repair the damage, and there is only one way to fix the program so it don't happen again or till you get the virus again. The 2 ways to temporary fix the problem are to either system restore to a configuration before you noticed your CD Rom not working. Or 2nd way to completely replace all your CD Rom System Registry Files. Now to prevent it from happening again cause it will I promise you cause this virus is eating away at registry files and virus scan cant find it. Norton and McAfee didn't find them on my computers. You have to reformat your hard drive. If you have your drive partitioned like my laptop is cause Dell and Acer which is what I have, and they have a drive partition and a recovery Partition. You need to have your computer DELETE and install the new partition and reinstall your OS and System Files all over. You need to make your computer basic out of the box fresh installed.thank you all so much for your help i appreciate your time and help

It happened just after I loaded a OEM copy of Photoshop Elements 7. Which installed fine. I wanted to install another program, but a dialog said I should reboot to run PE.

After rebooting the disk drives wouldn't show up on Computer and wouldn't do more than open and close.

I tried the same proceedure listed by cuteice87 involving the dangerous BUSINESS of deleting two registry items and my disk drives sprang back to life.

Now the question is, why?? Were we both hit by a virus, worm or trojan? or is there some other reason why this cropped up, under very different circumstances. Photoshop Elements 7 was purchased from everythingoutlet.com which seems to be a legit outfit. Any ideas?

Hello, I was curious to update my old graphics card but did something silly and went into System Config, and ticked the box to safe mode.

I downloaded the latest DRIVERS and crimson software for Radeon HD 6870 graphics card on my old computer, but I forgot to remove the old driver first..
So I READ online someone said to download Driver SWEEPER and remove your old driver from there in safe mode.

Now my computer won't start up like it should.

My computer still makes a noise when I go to turn it on and my MOUSE and keyboard all light up. Just nothing shows on my screen, nor does the does the light change. It usually goes from Orange to Blue.

What can I do to fix my problem??

I can only see one audio driver for Windows on Intel's site, the others are for Linux: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/50347/Intel-Desktop-Board-D848PMB.

Due to the AGE of the board those drivers only list support up to Windows XP. They may work on Windows 7 but they ALSO may not.

i have been working on a no name pc. it has xp on it. ...sorry i dont know any info on this pc. the ports used to work (she said) but stopped. the usb have the familiar "cannot recognize device" i have installed Service pack 3. ..nothing still. the port doesnt recognize my external hard drive, flash drive nor an ipod...nothing. there are no yellow errors when i look in device manager. i have tried UPDATING driver in device manager it doesnt do anything but wants me to insert a disk or selecting a file from pc.....anybody have anything???In hardware manager do you see anything regarding USB HUB or Device towards the bottom of the list?

I have seen before where the UART chip for the USB becomes blown. Quick fix is usually INSTALLING a 4-port USB Adapter into a PCI slot to fix. I have a StarTech 4-Port USB Adapter in an old Packard Bell that has a blown USB UART that we use for Diablo 2 LAN parties for the USB Mouse and Keyboard. Works perfectly fine and it cost me $19.77 + shipping 2 years ago.

Also I was able to get USB 2.0 vs 1.1 upgrade through this as well for external pen drives etc for quicker communications.thanks for the HELP, i will checkit out.

I have a strange problem with my NEC LaVie laptop. (Windows 8.1)

Recently, when I switch it on in the morning half of the screen is washed in green, with a little pink.
This only happens when I switch it on for the first TIME each day. After that, if I restart, there are no problems at all.
Over the last 3 weeks this has been getting worse, with the problem lasting longer and longer. But still only the first time each day.
However, it doesn't affect the NEC logo or the BIOS, so I thought it is probably a driver problem. (Sorry if I posted this in the wrong topic)

I have tried re-installing the drivers, scanning for viruses, running windows update, and rolling back windows to a time before the problem.
I even tried installing windows 10, but had the same problem. (I have now rolled back to windows 8.1)

My last option, which I am hoping to avoid, is to factory reset. But I want to keep that as a last resort.

Additionally if you have an external display to use that is an alternate route vs spending money to fix the internal display issue. Thank you for your help. Since it works fine in the CMOS and during Boot up, I'd diagnose it as a problem with the integrated graphics. I saw it on a desktop system- everything would work fine until booting a graphical OS, at which point it would exhibit a number of visual artifacts usually ending up with a frozen, garbled screen similar to that. Of course, that was a desktop system, so the fix was to install a cheap graphics card and it worked fine. For a laptop, there isn't any real option for dealing with a failure of the integrated graphics.

just GOT ONE from radio shack they are selling their store printers. The problem is they put some proprietary software on it which LOCKS it so you can not print color. yes been there done that, it seem Radio Shack put some software on the printer and Okidata said there is nothing they can do. there must be a way to just reformat the printer but i cant seem to find anything that tells you how.

I recieved a nice Precision T5400 Workforce machine and am struggling to find the correct Audio driver. it has a nice windows 7 Pro sticker key on it, yet Dell does not have windows 7 drivers. I tried the vista 64bit and xp drivers but no avail. I need Sound and i BELIEVE chipset too. Any suggestions where to look?This is my best guess.

But, for what it is worth...
Consider using only the 32 bit version of Windows 7.
Reason: This is a Xenon CPU that might not be supported anymore. You might what to check ans see if it can support Windows 8.1 64 bit. If not, you have a machine that has limited support. The Xenon in that particular machine might not be fully 64 bit compliant. Test it with the Windows 8.1 64 bit compatibility test.

Turns out the only reason i couldnt find the kind of card is because my AMD gpu TOOK over and in the bios the setting for onboard audio was set to off, making the onboard chip disapear in windows with my GPU. After changing that to on, the machine booted with audio. Thanks anyways. Sorry I made the wrong guess.

no need to apologize. I didnt realize it eaither so i didnt post my FULL specs. I got the machine used so it no longer had its quadro card. INSTEAD i put in a nice used AMD HD 4580. So when i looked in the DEvice manager the audio hardware showed up as AMD. I was confused and then realized in the audio settings there was only the AMD card option. So i booted into BIOS and switched onboard Audio to "on" instead of "Auto"

I own an old Asus Essentio Series with ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics, AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 220 Processor, my CPU speed is 2.8 GHZ, I am currently running on Windows 10 Build 10586 64 bit. ( if more info is needed please provide me with what is required as well as a good place to find it)

So. I'm trying decide between Slime RANCHER and Scrap Mechanic. I'm voting more for Scrap Mechanic because I like the game's mechanics, (no pun intended). however, I've CHECKED and my Graphics doesn't seem to be able to hold up to the minimum requirements even on the lowest settings. I've also been informed that AMD has discontinued ATI Radeon 3000 Series Drivers for Windows 10. if there is some better driver that would somehow be supported for my Graphics card or any way for me to run the game smoothly on this computer it would be most appreciated for me to be able to do this. He are my reasons for asking. Many games run goo din 32 bit if you make some adjustments. The 32 bit drivers are more available.
The ought to be full support for Windows 7.
If windows 7 is a practical option, you might consider going to a dual boot system. Or just stick with Windows 7 until you buy a new card.

AMD has specifically said they will not be releasing drivers for that hardware (the Mobile/integrated 3000) on Windows 10. There are no alternatives.

You can install the Windows 8 drivers, assuming you haven't already. Id look into a better video card. Even a $30 video card would outperform the likely Integrated AMD Radeon 3000 graphics. I have an older system with the Radeon 3000 as the integrated GPU and performance is horrible. For $25 I installed a Radeon HD5450 1GB Card which was way better. However the HD5450 is a low end GPU as well. If you have a tight budget though the HD5450 is so much better than the 3000 GPU.Hmm I see it's not a laptop, if it has a dedicated Radeon 3000, then The Windows 10 drivers should work.

Of course, regardless of the driver installed, it won't meet the minimum requirements for most games.

Whether you want to spend more money on A PC that is nearly 10 years old to get another graphics card is another question.@Geek-9pm (sorry don't know how to quote.)

Yeah I recently (accidentally) uninstalled my driver and got it back with Windows Update, so its PROBABLY the Windows 7 Driver. If you could direct me to the Windows 8 driver, It may function better than the Windows 7 Driver, as well as SAVING me less hassle having to downgrade to Windows 7. Personally I like Windows 10 and I would like to if possible with this computer stay on Windows 10 but still have solutions available for me.

You will likely need to upgrade to a newer video card to get one for Windows 10, however Windows 10 may use a generic driver, but performance would be likely WORSE than that of the correct driver that would make use of all shaders etc.

Instead of fighting to make 10 work with decent performance with that integrated GPU, I'd seriously consider even just going with a cheap video card that is better performing and newer and has Windows 10 driver support.

If you require better performance than the HD5450 and have more than $30 to spend give us a budget figure and we can make a suggestion for a better card for your money. I have installed HD5450's in a number of systems and its an ok cheap card for lightweight games, and it can play World of Warcraft at fair settings with 20-25 fps for most complex graphics rendering game that plays ok. Skyrim can also play on the HD5450 but you see noticable lag because Skyrim is asking a bit too much out of the HD5450 with the intense graphics. Is it turned on ? ?yeah but it just keeps on searching and searching and searching....Try to PAIR the device with something else like your phone, it could be whatever your connecting, also make sure both devices bluetooth are on. Look in Services and ensure that the Bluetooth Support Service is running.

I have just updated my windows 7 64bit Ultimate to Windows 10 pro and I can't connect to the internet. As soon as I updated and eventually got into windows 10, I wasn't able to connect to the internet. I then went to my motherboards website which is Gigabyte and I downloaded two Lan drivers for Window10 64bit. One of these drivers was the Bigfoot Lan Driver and the other was the Intel Lan driver. I have my ethernet cable plugged into the intel motherboard NETWORK adapter, but I have also tried using the killer ethernet controller that on my motherboard, but neither have worked since the update to Windows 10.

I have a yellow exclamation mark in the taskbar over the little internet screen and have tried using the trouble shooting problem. This come back and tells me that the driver might be the fault, but I have download the same drivers 3 times and they don't work. In device manger there is no yellow exclamation marks and bother network adapters show up ok. I contacted my ISP, but they can't connect me to the internet and say it must be a driver problem. I'm totally stumped now because I have tried everything possible and I can't even activate updated Window10 because I can't get on the internet. When I click on System to see what version of Windows 10 is INSTALLED, it says it is Windows 10 Pro 64bit and I updated this from been on Windows 64bit Ultimate. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong here I have spent the better part of 8 hours on this and just cannot connect to the internet? Thanks!

Turned out to be the "COMMODO internet Security Firewall driver," that was ticked in the "Local Area Network Properties." For some reason Windows 10 didn't like it been ticked after the upgrade. My GOD did that take some working out though. I hope this helps someone ELSE out if they stumble on this fix.

Have you tried a different USB slot ? ?Do you have any additional info on make/model of dongle, and devices involved and OPERATING system version?

I am assuming this is a actual dongle device and not just a USB cable between Mobile Phone and PC which I have seen people call a dongle even though its a tether cable connection?Good point...Hello to you both! Both of the Internet Dongles are of Chinese make viz. ZTE & Huawei. ZTE Model No. goes as AC3633, & that of Huawei is EC152. My OS is Win8, 64-Bit. There are 6 USB Ports in total & most of these have been given a try. I usually prefer connecting these Pen-drive sized USB Internet Dongles to the USB 3.0 ports which are located on the left-side of my AIO Desktop Model. Rear-end USB 2.0 are mostly preoccupied with Keyboard & alike stuff. Lastly, Please also refer to the attached - Detailed Diagnostics Report & see if anything concrete can be DERIVED through it. [attachment deleted by admin to conserve space]Hello again! I would like to give an Update that a mere System Re-boot has accomplished what a System Shutdown could not achieve for such a long time. A desperate attempt led to to Re-boot the Machine while the device were plugged in, & it did the trick eventually..! All the Yellow exclamation marks have gone now, both of my devices are getting detected properly, & therefore Iam now able to use each of these without any hiccups!

Lastly, What could be there so special about a Re-boot over a System Shutdown in this case? Does a memory retention (Error Code 38) signify any sort of impending HARDWARE issues or a Malfunction of sort? Please guide.

First of all, I hope this is the correct section to be adding this topic.

I just recently upgraded my Laptop from Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium to a Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium.
This was done through a clean install, so the hard drive was reformatted.
My computer is the
HP Pavillion dv7 1279WM
4 GB Ram
2.00 Ghz
(Additional Specs available on inquiry.)

I went through the computer after the install to check if all the drivers were in place.
I noticed that the only problem I have at the moment is that the Quick Launch Buttons I have on the computer are not working.

To clarify, these are the buttons that are above the keyboard, which controls the mute, volume up, down, forward play/pause, back, stop, and wireless on/off.

Pressing any of them have no effect.
I was wondering where the driver is for me to fix this issue and have the buttons work again.
I have tried redownloading the SOFTWARE PROVIDED by HP for the Quick Launch Buttons here-

It creates a folder under my Program Files x86, but none of the applications in it open. I have messed with compatibility, but none seem to work.

If anyone knows anything about this issue, please let me know. I am happy to provide more info if NEEDED. Or you can walk me through how I should exactly set and do compatibility for the programs.

Also, under device manger, I have four devices that are unknown. I am suspecting that one of these, are actually the quick launch buttons. Might I have to toggle something there?

My knowledge is limited, please let me know what I can do to fix this issue. I thank you beforehand. Any input is appreciated.

You will need to return to HP for 64bit drivers ...if they are available.Oh, I see.

So perhaps I should simply wait until the driver is released for Windows 7 64 bit right?

The quick launch software and driver is available for windows vista 64 bit home premium, but not for windows 7 64 bit home premium.

I thought you were able to download it for vista 64 bit home premium, and somehow run it in vista compatibility. Would that work?

It won't hurt anything trying...create a Restore point just in case...It works now, thanks for the replies mate.

What I did was download the one that was compatible for Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit, and it WORKED after installation. The quick launch buttons work now.

Everytime i Try TO Burn A Move Around the 50% Mark It Ejects My Disk & Says System Has Had A Calibration Error...

Is There Anything I Can Do???Their could be several possible reasons and solutions for the above error, basically what is happening is for some reason the CD/DVD burning software is unable to determine the Optimum Power Calibration rate (a small pre-burn test to determine optimal laser power for writing), resulting a disk burn failure. There is no easy way to pinpoint the exact reason, so try all the possible fixes from top to bottom (easy to hard) and see what works:

* Try using different brands of quality blank media, most common reason forsuch error's is cheap blank media.


* Try burning at lower speeds (Highly effective).


* Disable IMAPI Service (WORK's in most cases):
1. Launch Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services .
2. Browse for "IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service", Right-click on it and select properties.
3. Chnage Startup Type to Disabled.

4. Click Apply and Reboot.


* Try updating or changing your CD\DVD burning software to the latest version.
* Try upgrading your writer's firmware.


* If all the above fails the problem is definitely related to hardware and not software, Go ahead and get your burner laser lens cleaned by a professional.


* If all the above fails the drive's laser might have died and you need to get it REPLACED.

I need the driver for the Océ cm3522 printer to install on Windows 10. I found drivers for Windows "everything" but Windows 10 on the Cannon site but Océ doesn't EVEN acknowledge that they have an Océ cm3522 printer.
Any suggestions? You can TRY to use the Windows 8 driver and see if it works, but other than that if CANON doesn't provide a driver for Windows 10 there isn't MUCH you can do.

For windows MACHINES running a C program you can call to the MP3 using System("filename.mp3"); and you should be able to have Windows File Association know to trigger the media player to handle the MP3.

I NOTICED that my speakers and headphones were PLAYING at the same time, so I went into control panel and deleted something from the device manager. Now, my headphone jack doesn't work. I tried to install a new driver, but it says that it is not SUPPORTED. I tried to do a system restore, but none of them are from when I deleted the driver. I'm not even SURE if what I deleted was the driver, but it was some type of main source of audio. My speakers work, but not my headphones (and it's not just that pair). Please help!!!!

I have just reformatted the HARDRIVE and INSTALLED xp....however the drivers have been wiped from the memory of the thinkpad and need reinstalling. I do not have a driver disk to do this and cannot ACCESS the internet with no driver.
