When I go to the upgrade PAGE , http://www.msicomputer.com/support/bios_result.asp?platform=Intel&model=865PE%20Neo2%20P%20Series%20(MS-6728%20PCBv2)&newsearch=1 , there are many listed. My QUESTION would be ,do I start DOWNLOADING and appling each of these oldest to the newest? Or do I go straight to the newest and only use that one? I have never done this before and what to make sure that I do it correctly. Thank you for your help, DimarrcoPlease answer the below questions.

So i've had my HP notebook for almost a YEAR, sent it back once because it crashed HARDCORE and they replaced everything. However, recently, like in the past two months, the minute i GET off the internet the Broadcom 802.11 driver uninstalls instelf. Then when i try to reinstall the driver (which came standard on the computer and should load properly by itself) it sometimes reinstalls and sometimes it takes forever to realize i just reinstalled it and i get pissy and smack the KEYBOARD, for some reason this works. I KNOW this is completely not the way to do it, but im about to throw this *censored* notebook out the window... well im going to return this to HP but i was wondering if there was something i can do so this doesnt happen anymore

I'm new here, just FOUND this sight today. First I should tell everybody that I KNOW very little (at best) about computers. My problem is that i'm trying to connect a HP Photosmart 7850 printer to my computer however I do not have the disk THING that you put in the computer so i'm looking for a sight to download the printer driver. I can't go to the HP sight and get the info off there because I am running Windows 98 and Microsoft no longer supports that operation system so HP no longer offers the driver for Windows 98.. Right???

I guess my question is where can I get a driver for this printer or do I just throw the thing out a get a new printer. Thanks for your time.

Install-My Plug & Play Printer and FOLLOW the directions for install. That should get you setup.

All the above assumes that the printer is plugged in, attached to the computer and turned on.

I dont know what HAPPENED, but I switched hard drives n everything was going fine with my computers...but I put my hard drive back in its ORIGINAL computer, and now when it turns on, theres a black screen with the _ <------- underscore white line flashing and thats how it is. it wont go to the WINDOWS XP START UP or nothing...it just stays there, n im scared that everything i got, got LOST.....

You also could have the IDE cable plugged in upside down.An XP HDD cannot simply be swapped from machine to machine and be expected to boot properly...if you have data on there you need i would hook it up as a slave drive in a working machine and retrieve/burn your data.Oh where, oh where has my OP gone

Hy, i have two boys with two DIFFERENT games. Sims 2 and Quake Wars. Quake needs latest driver and Sims needs an older one. what can i do??

I made a format for my HARD disk (sony VAIO VGC-RB30 ) with winxp SP2 installed and i can't download its drivers or locate them on the web .
th PCI modem driver is missing , the drives are missing and so many others .

What did you use to format the drive? Restore disks or a Windows disk or what? You OBVIOUSLY have access to the internet from another computer, have you tried downloading drivers from Sony's site? (http://www.sonystyle.com CLICK 'Customer Care' at the top of the page)

I f-disked my hard drive and reinstalled Microsoft WINDOWS 2000. I have all the DRIVERS; EXCEPT for ONE, and one of the most important to me! It's the PCMCIA driver for a Gateway Solo 5300. I've gone everywhere, and even got able to chat with the Gateway admistration dudes, even they couldn't find it! Anyone up for doing some digging in the web or have a Gateway solo 5300 that I could steal the driver from?

I recently obtained an old Marine surplused Dell Latitude Laptop. I have loaded a game into it but when I try to operaate the game, it crashes and reboots. The machine has enough ram and hard DRIVE and operated at 1.8 GHz. Going to the web site of the game provider, it says that the DISPLAY driver probably NEEDS updating. I cannot use my wireless web connection to get it on the internet, but i can use one of my other machines to access it. I thought that if I were able to download it into my other machine, i could burn it on CD and load it into the Dell. However, I have not been able to FIND the driver that i need , nor am i sure that i can tranfer it as planned. The Display adapter is a Mobility Radeon 7500. The operating SYSTEM is Windows 2000. I research my family history and I run Family Tree Maker 2006. I have the program and all of the data on one CD, which is now near capacity. I also use this computer to play games that require a lot of memory, such as Age of Empires III. Would an external hard drive be necessary for running Family Tree Maker? Is an external hard drive something I can run the program from and work on it, or is it just a drive to copy files to?
Thank you in advance!You can run anything you want from external HD.An External Hard Disk can work just like a normal Hard Drive. It can be used for backing up and storing data.

However, if you install programs and games on the External Drive, you cannot use the programs and games on any other computer.

I have just got a MS Wireless Desktop 1000 keyboard and mouse.
The software disk is labelled IntelliType Pro 6.1.

When I FIRST tried to install nothing happened - no automatic start, but after a COUPLE of goes the installation process started and the progress bar started filling up, but stopped at about half way.
I've tried the install a few times, but I keep getting error MESSAGES at various stages - "cd drive door may be OPEN", "setup cannot continue, unexpected error", "cannot continue, the application is improperly formatted", etc. The cd drive works ok with other disks, so I think that's ok. Would it be a faulty disk?

I have checked the MS website and there is a downloadable IntelliType Pro 6.1 program for both keyboard and mouse - would this be what I need? I 'm not sure if it's ok to just go ahead and download these.

Since it's a USB device it should'nt be plugged in until the software is installed.
Double check also for a listing of that in Add/Remove programs...if it's there remove it before trying to install the DLoaded version.Thanks patio -

So I dont know what happened, I think maybe my antivirus program got carried away and deleted my driver for my CD-rom Drive. It just decided not to realize its there ANYMORE. Im not too computer SMART so I have no idea what to do in this situation. I have already tried to swap it out with a different drive and that obviously didnt work. I couldnt FIGURE this out for the life of me. please help.Are you using Windows XP ?

Well there is a SURPRISE, a problem with vista drivers. I am asking here because the CANON website says that my camera should be vista compatable with a driver release - yet whilst they DIRECT me to a vista downloads page, there appears to be patches for all their programs, but no camera driver. Does anyone know if this is a driver they have yet to make or have I missed something?

the upper 2 are drivers, but not for vista
the next 2 are codecs - already tried the latest of these and no change.
The rest are patchs/upgrades for the software that comes with the camera - I have updated the software that deals with interaction with the camera as well, but to no effect (EOS UTILITY Updater for Windows (2.2.1))

The camera is working today and happily talking to the computer - even though I have installed no other software. It seems that restarting after the install is not enough - a proper shut down was needed - strange as I thought there was no difference.

I have had this problem before. I WENT into a dell forum for help and got it. Since then I was cleaning up OLD files and PROGRAMS and now I get that message. D:\is not accessible. It was my understanding that when I reinstalled Windows sometime back that the computer did not recognize the CD ROM. I downloaded the suggestion they gave me and it worked fine until I got clean happy trying to get the computer to run faster.

I spent much time with Dell Support YESTERDAY but to no avail. They insist I need a new driver. Device Manager said it works properly. I did the delete upper & lower filters, didn't help. I can run audio CD's but none of the CD's that came with the computer. It always tells to insert a disk into drive D. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and update driver,etc.

I have Windows XP service pack 2

You don't need drivers for your CD ROM.
Did you try to uninstall it through Device Manager, and restart your computer, so Windows can find it again?If it RUNS audio CD's but will not read a data CD the drive may be on it's last legs...
They are not that expensive to replace now and have a lifespan of an average of 3 years or so...
Your mileage may vary.Trying lens cleaning CD, could be another option. Cleaning those data CDs, as well. Will those data CDs load on another computer?Try those other options before you decide to reinstall.
