Solve : Cannot load Windows 98 se?

Have you kept up with your Windows Updates?<br/><br/>[glb]Flame[/glb]I have not.  The computer has never been connected to the <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/internet-14325" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about INTERNET">INTERNET</a> although I guess it could have gotten a virus from someones floppy.  The hard drive has been repartitioned and reformatted.I suspect a bad hard drive.  Test it with free software from the manufacturer's website.I have to call the manufacturer.  Their website lists this hard drive as obsolete.  I know<br/>that this computer has been shut down improperly way too many times.  Does that<br/>physically damage the hard drive or the info on the drive.  I don’t see how it can do<br/>physical damage.
