Solve : cannot open upgraded Hotmail site with Win 98...can you help me?? |
| Answer» <html><body><p>Just got a used Compaq computer with Windows 98. Recently Hotmail.com has upgraded the homepage so that it has a rotating "loading" thingy -- and when I try to go to that page with this new computer, it brings the page up for about 2 seconds, and then the page blanks out <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/completely-409686" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about COMPLETELY">COMPLETELY</a>. I can <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/still-653256" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about STILL">STILL</a> see the taskbar at the top, but cannot open my mail. <br/><br/>In trying to troubleshoot this myself, I upgraded my Flash Player, upgraded the Outlook Express...what else might help me open Hotmail? Using Win98SE here. Just tried <a href="https://www.hotmail.com">www.hotmail.com</a><br/>and I could view mail just fine. Using IE ver 6. Can you think what else the problem might be?? I am frustrated that I can't get my email from there. I'll close out that acct. once I can get it...so it won't matter then!I think it's just Win98.Try Firefox. <em>Thank you!! I used Firefox and it works. Had a message that it was an encrypted page...maybe that's why I couldn't open it?
