Solve : Help with installing Windows 98 on laptop? |
| Answer» <html><body><p>I found another problem.At "Device <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/manager-239636" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about MANAGER">MANAGER</a>" under "Display adapters" i see only "Standard PCI Graphics Adapters (VGA).When i click the properties options i see this notice : "This device is not working properly because IRQ Holder for PCI Steering is not working properly (Code 37) "<br/>What does it mean ?Every <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/issue-246830" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ISSUE">ISSUE</a> here points to the lack of motherboard drivers...do you have them for that laptop by chance ? ?No, i don't have any drivers. Do you know where i can find drivers for "Standard PCI Graphics Adapters (VGA)" ?You need the whole package of MBoard drivers for that <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/machine-550312" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about MACHINE">MACHINE</a>...visit the manufacturers site and check the Support section.<br/>Make sure you specify Win98.I <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/thing-25656" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about THING">THING</a> the problem is this IRQ Holder because i succeed to install some video drivers but always i get this massage in the properties window:"This device is not working properly because IRQ Holder for PCI Steering is not working properly (Code 31)".May be i must change some settings in BIOS but what exactly i don't know. My BIOS type is "Phoenix"You're not listening...<br/>All these symptoms are related to the lack of correct MBoard drivers.Just in case if i'm getting some IRQ conflict what can i do about that ?One more question because i think i made some basic mistake.The name of the laptop motherboard is Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.,Ltd. CF-27-2 and the mother board chipset is Intel 82440BX/ZX(that is from "everest") .To fix my display problems i must find drivers for this chipset Intel 82440BX/ZX.
