Solve : Deleting programs in win98?

Answer»

I have a dillemma. I was stupid enough to delete a bunch of programs from my computer (and I MEAN a LOT) to try and clean it up. But now they are still listed on the add/remove programs LIST! When I tried just clicking "remove" (to get it off the list) it would say it couldn't FIND the delisu somethingorother and instead of taking the program off of the list, it just exits, leaving my list full.....

Pretty stupid problem, but any help would be much appreciated!  I was rereading what I said and I think I wasn't very clear on this: When I deleted them I deleted them manually from the hard drive.Well when you do it that way (wrong) there is no unisnstaller to remove them the correct way, so the reference are still there, and likely always will be until until you reformat and reinstall Windows.

I GUESS you COULD do it by hand, but it would be incomplete at best. You already have that! Quote

OK Thx!
Edit the registry (carefully).DLoad and install TweakUI for Win98...in one of the consoles there is an option for fixing Add/Remove entries.

patio.  You can also try the Ccleaner
