Now some Win98SE CDs are bootable both of mine are if not get the correct Win98 boot disk of the above site. The Win98 bootdisk will work on Win95. Win2k CDs are bootable so you need to check the BIOS that it will BOOTUP from the CD-ROM first, insert the CD and start it up. With Win9x you need to check it boots up from the floppy drive first in the BIOS. Now I have my own compiled boot disk which I have Format.com on it so when it boots up just type Format C: or what ever the drive letter is, they maybe on the above bootdisks. All genuine full-version Windows 98SE CDs were bootable. Only the original Windows 98 (not SE) CDs were not.sorry i have genuine original win98 cd and it boots fine.
