I cannot install windows 98se over my windows 98.It asks for a windows 98 UPDATE to be installed first. Is there an easy way to install windows 98se? Or,must I get 'this' windows 98 update?
I am a complete novice,so can you explain in GREAT detail.

Many thanks.Do you have the full version cd of 98se - do you have a floppy drive?I have a floppy drive and the 98se set up disc.To every one I am MR becky. If you could help me with my INSTALLING WINDOWS 98SE problem, i would be very grateful.i assume you want to keep all your data etc? because you could just format a BOOT off the disk then install if u didn'tMicrosoft doesn't consider it an upgrade.  You'll have to format and start from scratch.Thanks Commando.Why am I asked to use a 98 windows upgrade or update disc to install windows 98se.I thought it would automatically install. I am a REAL amatuer,can you describe the format procedure.
