Solve : problem with command prompt in windows 3.1?

i know this sounds crazy
but i am using win 3.1 and WHENEVER i OPEN command prompt
a DIALOG box comes up saying 386 display type mismatch
any ideas what causes this and how to fix
p.s. i am using the STANDERD vga DRIVER but the ega one does it tooyour 386 enhanced  mode grabber driver doesn't match the driver your using.
