Solve : Screen resolution stuck on 800 X 600?

Running a Dell inspirion laptop that originally had Win XP on it but now has Win 2000. Going through traditional channels doesn't work as far as adjusting the DISPLAY properties through the control PANEL.... He is talking about Grahphics CARD drivers. Downkload the latest drivers from the manufacturer.
