Answer» Hi, I have an old computer with Windows 98 ORIGINAL and ver, dxdiag and getversionex say I have version 4.10.1998, but the System Control Panel applet says I have 4.10.2222 (which I think is for SECOND Edition; I'm not sure if it's supposed to be 2222 or 2222A). When I have the version displayed on the desktop, it also says 4.10.2222. Why would different parts of the operating system think I have different versions and is there any way to fix it without reinstalling? ThanksBecause of updates...
