I didn't know that CCleaner worked on Windows 98. But I found a version that did, and it worked well. I also found a program called "Registry Defragmenter" that just rebuilds the registry for AN ENTIRE HALF HOUR EACH TIME YOU START YOUR COMPUTER. (I am going to go back, and delete it. It works, but is WAY to slow. ) I have fixed all 542 issues that Ccleaner found on my computer.u MIGHT as well scandisk and defrag while ur into the whole "optimization thing"
