Solve : windows 98 freezes when installing? |

Answer» HELLO, here is my dillemma; I partitiond my hard drive and i formatted it. I want to install windows 98 SE on it. i get up to the point where it ASKS me if i want to make a startup disk on a floppy, in which i already have, i click on no, and then after that it says" windows in now installing", but it FREEZES. i cant get into safe mode, i DONT know what ELSE to do. please any help would be appreciated. thankyou. Check if the LED diode in the near of RAM memory is it red or green. Cheers.what does that mean when you say "Check if the LED diode in the near of RAM memory is it red or green." ? He means open up your computer and look at the motherboard, usually on startup a little bright green light lights up. Not sure why this was suggested as not all MBoards have LED's on them...The reason is that i think RAM memory is gone. I had the same situation and after I changed the RAM memory i fixed the problem.
