Solve : Very Strange (WIN98 PROB)? |
| Answer» <html><body><p>Hi there,<br/><br/>You know when your in My Documents or any folder and you right click you get that little menu, around the bottom of the menu it says New and when you put your <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/mouse-245074" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about MOUSE">MOUSE</a> on it another menu pops out saying Folder, Shortcut and anything else.<br/><br/>Well for some strange reason my New option has dissapeard from the list and now I cant make a new folder anymore.<br/><br/>Things I was doing prior to <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/problem-25530" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PROBLEM">PROBLEM</a>:<br/><br/>I was trying to install WINXP Pro over my WIN98 but it wouldnt let me continue because of <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/hardware-482405" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about HARDWARE">HARDWARE</a> problems.<br/><br/>I installed the latest DirectX ver (9.0c)<br/><br/>Here are my specs<br/>Processor: AMD K6-2 500mhz<br/>Motherboard:ASUS P1/P55T2P4<br/>Video Card: Geforce 2 mx 100/200 64mb<br/>Sound Card: Dolphin 2ch card<br/>OS:WIN98 First 1998 Release<br/><br/>When I was trying to install XP it said my video card wasnt compatible with my Motherboard and it had to exit setup.<br/><br/>ThanksOh wait, doesnt matter I <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/fixed-245605" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FIXED">FIXED</a> it<br/>I just opened regedit and went to<br/>HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT>Directory>Background>shellex>ContextMenuHandlers>New<br/><br/>And where it says Default in the "" it was blank, I just double clicked the empty <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/brackets-768929" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about BRACKETS">BRACKETS</a> and entered <br/>{D969A300-E7FF-11d0-A93B-00A0C90F2719}<br/><br/>Now its back</p></body></html> | |
