Solve : Win98Se freezing?

Answer» <html><body><p>My Win98SE OS has begun freezing both in programs and on the Internet. First sign of it is the mouse arrow freezing at a certain point on the screen and then there is no mouse function. Nothing on the keyboard works, not even the arrow keys or the ctrl-alt-del method of getting out of a stuck application.<br/>I always run Zone Labs <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/firewall-15279" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FIREWALL">FIREWALL</a>, AVG antivirus (and keep it up to date), Spybot Search &amp; Destroy along with Ad-Aware, and StartGuard to <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/protect-1170661" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PROTECT">PROTECT</a> my computer.<br/>The only recent install is Mozilla Firefox to get away from IE's problems, but it has run without problems for several days now before this new problem.<br/>I have checked in the Device <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/manager-239636" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about MANAGER">MANAGER</a> in My Computer. I believe this is where you get the Exclamation points if something is amiss and I see nothing wrong.<br/>Any ideas you have would be appreciated.<br/>Also, for some time now I have not been able to successfully run Scandisk or Defrag.
