Solve : windows 98 and deskjet error?

Answer» <html><body><p>dell inspiron 7000<br/>windows 98<br/>hp deskjet 722c<br/><br/>I have previously installed other hp printers on this laptop and had this problem.  The current problem is as follows:  When I hit print in <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/anything-380254" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ANYTHING">ANYTHING</a> (word, notepad, imager, etc.) an error informs me of a general protection <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/fault-25551" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FAULT">FAULT</a> associated with the file "gdi.exe".  Search finds this in windows\system.  This seems to be a graphics file.  When I had this problem before, an hp tech talked me through disabling some hp driver <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/files-20889" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FILES">FILES</a> and enabling something--I can't remember.  I don't want to diable files without knowing what the result will be.  I just want my printer to work.  Any help would be appreciated.  <br/><br/>CurttoYou can alwats reinstall there driver from there main website. Just <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/uninstall-7273166" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about UNINSTALL">UNINSTALL</a> it and reinstall it. That should help with the problem. <a href="https://ccleaner.com">http://ccleaner.com</a> Oh yeah make sure you <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/clear-408920" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about CLEAR">CLEAR</a> out the junkie registry first because sometimes just uninstalling it will leave something behind</p></body></html>
