There are two addresses with passwords showing in my list of passwords on Avast which I WOULD LIKE to delete as they are no longer relevant.  How do I do this please?The best thing to do is to un-install Avast and re-install it. Be sure that you don't save any DATA from the uninstall.Really - so I'd have to do this every time I wanted to delete someone?     Surely they'd have an easier way?First of all, why are you PUTTING passwords on Avast?Because it has a facility for it, and it's safe.

I have a youtube channel where I have uploaded several hundred videos, all private. When I am on my desktop, I can view them all. I used to be able to view them on my mobile app also. About two weeks ago, when I scroll down the page, it says "more" but won't load. I can view pages and pages of my history, but not my own videos. I reinstalled the app, I THINK, but nothing helps. For my android devices I just have my GMAIL acct authenticate that is linked to youtube and so it works for me that way.

I had an issue once where it was acting up and I had to clear stored browser cache DATA and then it fixed it. There was like 800mb of bloat that was building from browser use.Uninstalling and reinstalling the Youtube App wont clear the browser cache that might have an issue that is CAUSING your issue.

I'm sure there's a simple SOLUTION, but I cannot find it.  I use Excel to keep track of expenses and all other bank transactions for my wife's business.  Every month I send the accountant the spreadsheet and it typically has the same payers, payees, DESCRIPTIONS etc for every month.  If I'm working on a spreadsheet and enter "Office supplies" into my description column, then it will autofill "Office supplies" if I start to type it into any SUBSEQUENT CELL in that column.  However, I want it to remember "Office supplies" when I start a new spreadsheet the next month.  Is there any way I can add words or phrases, to a library, where the autofill can PULL from every time I make a new document?I don't know.

I have just BROUGHT a second hand HP Pavilion dv7-4285dx ENTERTAINMENT laptop and I am wanting to do a factory reset. I tried the f11 fucntion when windows starts up but it doesnt work, windows just opens up as normal. I have pressed the start key to LOOK for recovery manager but it doesnt come up.  I did a little digging and located the application but when i try to install it its COMES up harddick.dll missing. Can anyone help. Im Running windows 7No idea what the previous owner did...may have deleted the recovery partition...
You can order the recovery CD from HP however...Thank you for your advice. Is there no way I can reinstall the harddisk.dll From what I can find this seems to be what happens to those systems when somebody tries to upgrade the edition of Windows from the original installation. The only "fix" provided seems to be either a clean install of Windows (using normal Windows media and a appropriate license key) or using the Restore CD that Patio noted.Do i download the new install of windowsIt is PREFERABLE to use the HP DVD, if you can get it.

I`m trying to add a small photo as an attachment to an email. This is what I`m doing.
           Scan photo in printer scanner.  Import to My pictures in PC. Win 7.
           Open new email ( I`m using Hotmail) and drag photo from Pictures to mail area.
           Send email to myself with COMMENTS.
   Sometimes mail gets thru` with message but no photo, but most times gets a Microsoft message saying Error occurred.
   All mail gets thru` always with text only.or further to this I can Rt. CLICK on image and open with Windows photo viewer.
Image shows in email area and I can post to myself.
 Same result as above.  Mail error 3209 occursAre you naming the photo and saving it proper ? ?

Also which email client / ?Questions.
Has it worked before?

Has anyone ever used any software to do something like this? What tips or tricks might anyone have?Before using a tool that will clean up to remove duplicates, I would perform a backup of your data, just in case you have files named the same in different folders and same file size which are different photos. Its rare that a file will be different and be such a close match, but its safest to back up the data prior to putting the decision making into an automated program that does the cleanup.

I just run a batch script to run across my computer and grab all JPG images and store them to an external device such as USB stick at the E: drive. I run the following instructions which targets the C: drive and grabs a copy of only JPG files, and RETAINS their directory structure so that if there are images of same file name, but images are different, images are then not lost to which file is newest or written last of the same file name.

Duplicate finders that compute an md5 hash will find duplicate images. The hashes will match only if the files are identical on the binary level. There is a free "Duplicate Files Finder" on Sourceforge

The situation is the following: I have to say goodbye to my Mac and now I'm getting used to Windows. I'm an amateur photographer and I LIKE creating HDR images. Currently I use AuroraHDR https://aurorahdr.com but this photo editor is available only for Mac.

As Soybewan merntions, different applications will show different menu options. Firefox Addons can add items to the right-click menus shown in the browser, for example. SYSTEM Center Configuration Manager can be extended With various extensions, such as the Right-Click Tools, which your rather odd phrasing seems to have stumbled on, as I doubt you are using SCCM.

Windows Explorer/File Explorer and the Windows desktop can have the Right-click Context Menu expanded and extended with Shell Extensions.

When I code and make changes, this message pops up. "You do not have exclusive access to the database as this time. I am new here, I am James Shaw - 26 and currently training on a service desk. I have been tasked with finding and comparing features of Zabbix and PRTG and I am unsure if this is in the correct forum to post in to as well! (Please accept my apologies if not)

We use a number of monitoring tools for each customers needs but we are looking to further expand in to Zabbix, and remove PRTG as whole. I have attached a zip file with an excel document of a table with features of Zabbix to compare PRTG against them.

Now as you guess with this post I have no idea about either, and before asking anyone in work for help I would rather at least ask on line as I guess it would look better to - in attempting to gain the information required to compare.

I wonder if anyone could help me compare the two and if I have missed features out that can also be compared against each other to advise me on them (E.G on the list of Zabbix features, it doesn't say if it can monitor temperatures so can it? I know it can be done from add-ons) and PRTG website, well that is just an absolute pain to operate around in my own personal opinion and if an expert on here has used both, it would be better to have their help I guess than just reading "features"

I do want to become more competent in the use of Zabbix and learn more and this is just one small step as I will also have the chance sit down with the engineers and start implementing this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[attachment deleted by admin to conserve space]I've done a fair bit of research into different monitoring systems and use Zabbix a fair bit so happy to discuss it although I'd rather not be downloading random Excel files from forums, if you can put the list of features directly in the thread (or include a screenshot) then I'd be happy to take a look at it.

As far as monitoring things like temperatures, you are correct in that Zabbix doesn't monitor everything like temperatures out of the box, what you would do is add custom "User Parameters" to the Zabbix agent configuration to fetch values such as the temperature then configure Zabbix to read this value and graph/alert based on it.  This is one of the things that I really like about Zabbix - How flexible it is for monitoring different things.  It can be a bit of a pain to configure these if you have tonnes of MACHINES although at that point I'd probably be looking into setting up some sort of configuration management tool (Puppet, Ansible.etc) to manage the Zabbix agent configuration on each host.  I've used custom User Parameters extensively to read SMART health data from the drives in a system.

If your machines have built in management controllers (Dell iDRAC, HP iLO, Supermicro BMC.etc) you can set up Zabbix to talk to those over protocols such as SNMP to pull out health values such as temperatures without relying on the agent.

Sure Zabbix is a bit of a pain to configure initially but after getting it up and running (Which probably took about a day to get a reasonable level of monitoring working) I'm very happy with how RELIABLE and flexible it has been.Yes I totally understand what you mean, security and all that. All it is a table of Zabbix features which I was going to compare between each other - unfortunately I find PRTG's website rather inconclusive to compare the 2 against each other.

I understand there is reviews etc all over, but this wouldn't really fit the needs and comparisons I was looking for. I do believe PRTG is much easier to install than Zabbix, and I believe we do use an agent for Zabbix over a wide infrastructure.

My excel SHEET just compromised of 2 columns, one has Zabbix features which I was then in the second column put a yes or no to whether PRTG could do this.

I know the internet is a large place, but not everyone review site actually compares the features down to the bone against each other so I thought I would post somewhere and see if I could get help.

Is there features I am missing? Anything that could be added to my Zabbix table I am missing that could be compared against PRTG? The more information I gather to compare against each other. The better.

I hadn't used the WMP for a very long time & today I tried to download some new CDs that I got, & it wouldn't rip them because it was missing the proper CODEC file.  I tried looking that up & found info on it, however, you had to know what CODEC was missing.  I hadn't a clue, neither could I find nor figure out what they were talking about.  I figured I could download the newest WMP version & when I tried to run the program it said I already had a newer version.  Tried to find that on my Programs and couldn't find a Windows Media Player file among the 75 programs on my computer.  I have VLC also on my computer but couldn't figure out how to RIP the songs with that program, either.  YEARS back I found MUSIC programs to be much more user friendly than what is offered today.  All I need is a program that will download the CDs so that I can pick the songs I want to Burn to a CD to play in my car.  Is there any Dummies version to fixing this problem OR is there another free Music program that is more user friendly?could you uninstall WMP then down load the newest version again and that would possibly contain the filesI tried downloading a new version and the notice popped up that I already had the newest version.  I was going to, as you suggested, delete the version I have presently, but when I
went to the list of Programs in the Control Panel, I couldn't find the Windows Media Program to uninstall it.   Out of 75 programs on the list, none of them was WMP, unless it is listed under

Make sure to DLoad a fresh copy of WMP...Well, I did as you suggested and unchecked the 3 check marks under Media and then restarted it.  I tried to download a fresh copy of WMP and when I clicked on the download, it told me it couldn't download because I needed to be validated that I had a genuine copy of Windows 7 on my computer.  It is genuine, however, it didn't tell me HOW I was supposed to prove to them that it was a genuine version of Win 7 so that I could download a fresh copy of WMP.  I went to the Microsoft website and that was totally useless.  Listed a lot of stuff about validation, but didn't tell you HOW you were supposed to do it.  If there is another simple, free program out there that will allow me to rip from a CD and then burn the songs I want to another CD for personal use in my car, I'd be very happy to download it.  I do not have an iphone or anything else that I can download music to, so CDs are what I am limited to.Media Monkey...Lots of programs to do that, thankfully.

Media Monkey (Patio's Link) is a good one.  It looks like the free version would be limited in terms of ripping CDs in some ways. I'd guess iTunes provides the same ability. I only have that on a rather old G4 and G5 Mac system I have but I was experimenting with that and was able to rip and burn Audio CDs- I doubt they removed that feature since.


Winamp is still a good Audio Program as well, which provides both. I use version 5 and haven't had issues going either direction (though I admit it doesn't come up very often).

CDBurnerXP Looks to support burning an Audio CD as well. It looks like you'd have to use something else to rip it.

I'm not sure but you might be able to use a program like IMGBurn to create a disc image of the Audio Disk and then write that to another disc to copy it over.
I think also you need to determine what file format the car CD player needs to make your burn sessions successful....I have no idea what format the car CD player uses.  I know that the CDs I made for it before WMP went on the fritz, were fine and I had no problem. 

I had downloaded a Windows 7 Codec Pack several days ago figuring that it would automatically fix the problem with WMP, however, when I opened it, it CAUTIONED about making changes if I didn't know what I was doing so I forgot about it.  However, I just went back to it and opened up Advanced Codec Settings and it showed a number of settings were disabled.  I am assuming this is reflecting what is on my WMP.  The ones listed DISABLED under ffdshow (64 bit) are:

You can safely re-install it and accept all changes it wants to make...re-boot after.Tried installing the Codec file and that made no difference with WMP.  Downloaded Winamp and couldn't get that to find the CD to rip on D Drive.  Even went to youtube to find out what I was doing wrong and came up empty there.  Finally downloaded Media Monkey and that program is presently downloading my CDs and it looks to be fairly easy to use.  Thank you all for your time and your help.  It is very much appreciated. I've posted this on a few car audio forums but have not received a response and since this might be more software based, figured I would try on here. If it is in the wrong group, please move it.

I have a 4200NEX with a 128 GB SDXC formatted to NTFS which the head unit orders the songs alphabetical.

I have the card organized by X:/artist/album/disc#-track#-songname. I use the same FORMAT with itunes, music bee and poweramp on my phone but this 4200 is the only thing that doesn't seem to sort it correctly.

I sent PIONEER a support ticket and they came back with "it does not support SDXC cards" so I tried a 8 GB SDHC (FAT32) card and the same thing happens.

Kinda second question but how do I get album artwork to show up?

I have been using my hotmail email address for over 20 years, and my local library tells me they are sending emails to let me know when a book is available - but I am not getting their emails.

I wondered if it may have been accidentally blocked at some stage, as they are using the correct address.   Is there a way of checking?Check the SPAM folder...I already do that automatically when checking mail.     I would not have asked the QUESTION otherwise.Up until about a year ago, I would receive notification that a reserved book was available from the library.   We checked the address they had, and it was correct.Microsoft has been killing off Hotmail little by little. I would move this notification service to a different e-mail such as a gmail account which should be around for a while. Yahoo isnt even safe these days since they are in money troubles. Microsoft is nudging PEOPLE away from Hotmail. Maybe this is their nudge to you to move onto a different e-mail.

No, they rebranded it to outlook.com. Hotmail addresses going back to 1997 will still login and still receive mail perfectly fine. You can still create an hotmail address up to today.

From accounts that send a lot of E-mail, webmail (including gmail) usually results in message deferral which makes it take much longer to arrive. The idea is to "throttle" possible spammers, since generally it is spammers sending out a crapload of E-mails. It's worth trying another webmail though as it might function differently.

Old computer (hard drive) is dying, but still working.

I have used Avery DesignPro 5 for years, and have a massive file of business cards, labels, etc., etc., etc.
The "new" Avery Design & PRINT is downloaded, but it "butchers" the old business cards when they are opened.

Excel 4.0 is a 16-bit application. Is the windows 10 going to be the 32 or 64-bit version?
I looked at the net, that with 64-bit version there isn't a direct way to run 16 bit applications, because the 16 bit subsystem was REMOVED in the 64 bit versions, but the 32 bit versions still have it.

Hi There. i am novice to computer. ( I am mechanical engineer in 40s). I have recently found NUC. However it did not have SSD. So I bought one. But now I have problem. First problem - OBVIOUSLY it does not boot up. So I downloaded Ubuntu and burnt it on USB using isotousb.com. However as soon as I insert USB, computer keyboard mouse stop working. I tried to play with BIOS but still that issue exist. If I start it with USB inside, it GET stuck and nothing COMES up. Now I take USB off and it comes with error message that "BIOS has detected unsuccessful POST attempt(s)" Press 'Y' to ENTER Setup or 'N' to cancel and attempt to boot with the previous settings.

In my Microsoft Word I am suddenly getting some kind of "autofit" thing going on. The words seem to be adjusting their spacing or something when I reach the end of a SENTENCE. It was doing that before. I think I hit a key on my keyboard, like ctrl, instead of shift and now this thing is happening. I was just trying it and what it does when I GET to the end of the sentence the space between just two letters shifts,as I can see to make make each sentence at the same place and the end of each sentence. So my question is how did I turn this on and how do I shut it off. I looked up autofit on the web but it wasn't what I was looking for, I may have been calling it the wrong thing.

Laptop power on but doesn't DISPLAY and CPU fan is not spinning
Even after connecting to an external LCD MONITOR it still doesn't display. I have even tried,  removing the battery and holding the power button for about 60 seconds but still doesn't work.

They even got good at knowing if the trial was installed before where it leaves hidden registry keys so that you cant just START over for another 14 or 30 days etc by uninstalling and reinstalling as some software in the past use to allow you to do to run another stretch of trial period for free. Cant chat any further on extending trials or getting around their limitations though.

A few years ago I bought an Electronic Lab program. I don't remember what it was. It had copy protection and that made it hard to use if you did not have the manual at hand. Well, I lost the manual and the floppy disks.
Now I see there are some free programs out there. Which are GOOD? Here is a screen shot of one. That is enough to let yu KNOW what it is. You make a DIAGRAM using standard items from a library and then apply poser and the software emulates what it might do in real time.

I have an Android tablet.
Here's the problem. Recently the tablet went over to using Google voice recognition for search inputs. That's FINE, in fact I rather like it. But apparently there are some programmers who work for Google who have not even any idea of what they're really doing. It's not enough to write code, it has to be usable in the real world.
For some reason the Google voice recognition was to take over any kind of input, including the input needed to type in the password for my Wi-Fi. I made a change to my Wi-Fi and had to type in the password again. But I cannot get the keyboard to come up, instead I get this little thing that wants me to On it and start talking in Google speak. Well, the password input does not accept Google speak. The password in what can be any combination of upper and lowercase letters and symbols but never spaces. The Google speak geek thing in search spaces between words and other items.
Or to put it another way, it is  SNAFU.
And I'm not the only one, this has been causing problems for people that want to use passwords instead of voice recognition for different things. How in the world can such a large corporation make such a stupid mistake? Do they actually have programmers that never heard about passwords?
Anyway, I'm starting to rant. When I need is a good workaround so I can get my tablet working again on a different wireless router. From time to time I have to change passwords or go to some other place and use somebody else's password. Like you I go to McDonald's and want to use their Wi-Fi I need to have some kind of access.
Does any of this make sense to you? Do you understand my frustration when I have to enter a password that might have any combination of letters and symbols and numbers and it wants me to speak instead of type.
Any suggestions welcome. But don't tell them to ditch the tablet.
I have a Samsung tablet and I sometimes use Google's voice command feature but have never experienced the kind of hostile takeover described by you.  For example, if I tell Google to open an app or open a certain website, I can later do the same thing using the normal touch-screen technique with no issues.  Likewise, when using my smartphone.

I think I would not use Google's voice command to try entering the password for a Wi-Fi connection.  I SAY this because, if I tell Google to open a website where the website name has a hyphen in it, Google fails to recognize that character, whether I say "hyphen" or "dash".  So, I suspect that trying to use Google's voice command tool where you need to enter upper case and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters, is not going to work. 

I normally only use my tablet with one of two Wi-Fi connections; one of those is my router at home; the other is me using my smartphone as a Wi-Fi connection for the tablet when I'm away from home.  So, I don't need to be entering passwords for Wi-Fi connections since I always only use these two connections.

If I did ENCOUNTER the problem you've described, I think I might try visiting a Best Buy store and ask a Samsung REPRESENTATIVE (in the Best Buy store) about it. 

EDIT: By the way, you might find a bluetooth keyboard an easier way to type characters with your tablet than using the touch screen since you have some vision limitations (which you've stated in some of your posts).  Yes, I am gong to try the Bluetooth keyboard and see if that helps.
Meanwhile, I did change  the password to a common English word the Google Voice  can recognize. A similar issue is some devices that do not have a easy way to do capitals or symbols. My daughter has a device that will not do a capital letter.
Not being able to use strong passwords on a mobile device undermines the reason for even having a device.

The weird thing is that the installation, as FAR as I could search, did not show a Profile, nor a default TITLE. Any IDEAS why this happened and is it GOOD or bad? Like I said its working so far. What on-line Apps would give me the elevation of any location I want?

For example, I would like to plan an exit route for my family in case a flood should come in this area.  Some of the ROADS go thigh ground, but there're some dips along the way.  I need a way to find what places along a highway might dip below the flood plain. I t grid sing Google maps, but could not find a quick way to find elevation information.
Any ideas?

Many Weather sites have elevation maps.Perhaps you'd be better off contacting your local environmental authority - I'm sure you have something like that? Or at least the national environment AGENCY, whoever that may be. They would probably provide you with the most accurate information and advice.One source is the geographic topology maps issued by the government, but these often are very COURSE ant only show levels in 40foot marks. So you might be in a 35 foot hole and not it on the map.

I did a Google search and found there is an App that will give you a map like Google and let yu pick elevation for any point. But there are no topographical contours.
You use topographical** map to see  if yu can do a witless link from your house to grandma without going up on the ROOF.

Im sure there are a ton of people who have seen this tool before but I did a forum search and it did not appear anywhere. Even if I expose this to 1 new person I THINK it helps. Often times we get a lot of users who come into the chat and have to do a fresh install and a lot of time I like to reccomend https://ninite.com/. Pretty neat tool that goes through a list of commonly used programs and installs them through one package. I personally use it often as it skips the tool bars and bloatware that can be added when doing a manual install.Ive used it before, but instead of having to rebuild fresh each time i have to rebuild a system, I build my system back from an image through a drive to drive clone process using Macrium Reflect. If you are not setting off to the side a spare hard drive with a clean build to be able to revert back from a image, then ninite works good. I havent used it much though because I install spare hard drives in my desktop computers to keep as a quick system recovery.

 I got a great deal on 160GB SATA HDD's for $12 each through newegg and most drives contain less than 50GB data. These extra drives are mounted in the case and left disconnected until needed. I build the system on these smaller drives for OS and all necessary software. Then when its built to a point that I am satisfied with it becoming the recovery state for the system for the future, I then clone this 160GB drive to say a 500GB drive. Then when clone is complete resize the C: partition to take up all remaining space to be used for C:. Disconnect power and SATA communication cable from the 160GB drive and run on the 500GB drive. When the 500GB drive is in need of a wipe and make clean state, I just attach both drives and run Macrium Reflect and clone the 160GB stomping on top of the 500GB drives data and resize the C: partition after first getting any important data off of the 500GB drive.

Years ago back during Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP, I use to use Ghost 2003 and burn a DVD-R Ghost Image after the build is complete for the OS and Software and place it into a jewel case and then place that in a ziplock bag and lay it in the bottom of the computer tower making my own system recovery media set for my own builds. So that I never had to go through the boring process of feeding software to a tower and updates.

Both required me to still perform updates to software and OS as for the recovery state was locked in time and anything from that date forward for software that was out of date would need to be updated. I could always also turn on the 160GB drive and run it through updates and then disconnect it so that the next time its used to clone the drive it is that much more up to date requiring lesser updates.

For my large game library of steam games I made a copy of the games on my 4TB external and so I dont have to redownload large games over again. I just tell steam to install the game, and then kill my network connection, and manually copy the game contents to the target directory, then enable the network connection in which it picks up where it left off with install in which it detects that the game is there, it then goes to 100% complete for the game and I am able to run the games. Havent had to do this in about 2 years but last time I did this it worked for steam.It's a shoddy rip-off of the original...which was nLite.

Shame on them for the naming scheme...

But hey...it uses TupperWare as an endorsement...(probably not certified btw)...so how bad could it be ? ?The other thing not mentioned is many of those apps listed are affiliate links...and come bundled with your garden variety of adware etc...

Hello there, i have a mattress store and i wanna create mattress section images for my website, 3d if possible. I dont have any prior experience with 3d SOFTWARES. Is there an easy way to do it?I believe Cyberlink has one or more software products that will do that.  See http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/50982.page and/or search through their website for info on their products. You could hire someone to do the 3D rendering to make 3D objects to make the mattress. This way they already have the pricey software and skills to pull it off at a agreed upon cost.


If I was to do this, my method would be a low tech and take a 12 x 12 or larger room and mark the center of floor and then lines out from center at degree intervals for each snapshot of the mattress, and at the end of the lines a dot say 10 feet away from center allowing a 10 foot radius if travel from center all around so objects lesser than 10 feet can fit within this space and be pictured and camera remains at the same distance from the center point, and a tripod used to keep the height off the floor the same for each picture. Lighting in the room you would want to make to your liking, shadows or no shadows. I would probably go with 20 pictures at 18 degrees each snapshot if you want 360 degrees of turning ( rotation ) of the mattress clockwise/counter clockwise.

For the website to have ability for users to rotate the 3D like mattress since its actual pictures of the mattress its real and lifelike and visitors at the website could click on a left or right button web navigation buttons to turn the mattress clockwise or counter clockwise.

With 20 pictures if it starts at picture 10 and they click the right button it will step to picture #11 18 degrees counter clockwise, and if they click it again the right button its picture #12 an additional 18 degrees counter clockwise. If they keep clicking they will be able to rotate the mattress pretty quickly all the way around and end up back where they started. Clicking left button on the webpage would turn the mattress clockwise at 18 degrees per click.

You could use this room for taking anything you want to create a 3D 360 degree like view of and the HTML to pull it off would be not too complicated. Java Script or PHP etc with Java Script being the easiest to code up but primitive type of web interaction in a web world that is mostly Flash and HTML 5

If you want to have where you can zoom in and zoom out and rotate the mattress on any axis for real true 3D rendering, then the smoke and mirror type of camera trick I mentioned above wouldnt work out too WELL because my suggestion lost cost your on a 2D plane around the radius around the object that rests in the center of the 360 degrees. You would need a camera setup similar to Hollywood to have the camera on a track that could rotate around the mattress from any gimbal assisted angle from center point and create a spherical image request type of system possibly Numbers used for degree steps on the X axis and Letters used for degree steps on the Y axis to keep track of what image snapshot belongs where for the 4 buttons up/down/left/right to call to the correct image. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gimbal

What direction are you looking to go... use of actual pictures to generate a 3D 360 degree like from a fixed camera angle to center environment or someone to render your mattress in a CAD like environment to make it that way?

Also do you have any experience with HTML and do you have access to your websites HTML code to alter it or do you have a webmaster who controls this?

*I took advanced PHOTOGRAPHY in college as my arts program requirement and had a lot of fun with it and you really have to enjoy angles and mathematics to make seamless 360 degree panoramic where multiple pictures blend together as a loop so someone standing center to that loop of pieced together images sees it all around without transitionary flaws where each image is joined to the next. That was my final project a loop of photos taken at exact degrees out from center point, camera being center point, and the greater number of images taken the more precise the loop of spliced together pictures is without noticable flaw. Your project if a camera is used is the inverse of my final project. Instead of pictures out away from center in my project, your on the outer ring looking in to center at a fixed distance away from center point. I was going to make a hemispherical project in which someone could step in one location and lower the hemisphere over their head and look around from any angle and feel as if they are standing exactly where the images were taken but I couldnt come up with a gimbal that was without error as well as lighting was a problem lowering a hemisphere over someones head as for they are now with their head in a half circle in the dark, so a loop of images on a fixed plane spliced together was my project so that lighting for the person viewing it all wasnt a problem and looking out at a fixed axis you can see a location 360 degrees but looking up your looking at the ceiling of the classroom. I had images on a large rube like lamp shade that people could walk onto a marked box on the floor and pull a cord and this would lower the tube around them so they could look around 360 degrees from where image was taken. When they released the cord, a counterweight brought the rube with images in it back up so they could walk off without knocking their head on it or having bend down to stand up inside and bend down to walk out as well as people are different heights and so the further you pulled the cord the further down the tube traveled to where it could be pulled to anyones line of sight without havingt o look up or down at it while inside, just pull cord to desired picture height and hold the cord and look around, then release the cord and it would slowly raise back up for the next person to do the same.Thank you DaveLembke for the reply. Who does your websites web design and who is your web master?I'm the one making the website using a ready template from Wix. I am an amateur at this , that is why my questions may seem a bit annoying and childish. I just want to create static decent looking, matress section images. Nothing too fancy. What i need is sth simple for the time being.Can you share your website so i can see what you have now, what your currently working with to make suggestions or is the page not live yet? And not childish at all, coming here we have no clue as to skill level until some questions given and answers received, so your new to this and we are patient with that. We know to be more descriptive now and not talk above your skill level.

Also you can do this all on your own, but I have also seen people hire out the initial build of a website, and then when completed the maintenance to update pictures, price tags, product into etc then handled by someone with lesser skills than a web developer to keep costs down.To tell you the truth the page is not live yet, because i am focused on solving the image issue.I am just actively searching of ways to do it myself.My budget is really tight at the moment and i cant afford to hire a proffessional for this.You might want to look into a WYSIWYG website builder then. It will allow for you to place content down and the coding is handled by the program that assists.

One really easy way of making a information webpage one that has information but no point of sale e-commerce functionality to it would be if you have experience with Microsoft Power Point or Word, you can create the layout with information and pictures placed as you want them and then save your project as a HTML document. Then its just a matter of paying for a web host or going with a free one that would be ad supported and could have ads that pull customers away from your website elsewhere, so a cost would be to have the site hosted unless you bought a DOMAIN name, and ran your own apache server and payed for electric to keep that running. *Its not very expensive to use a web host service and less of a headache.

There is also a Word to HTML converter tool here, but not sure how well it works. i have never used it but saw it in a google hit: https://word2cleanhtml.com/

My preference would be to do it in Power Point vs Word for HTML but its up to you to go that route or find a website that is a WYSIWYG for making your website.

Have you bought your domain name yet? If you havent that is important. This will be a fee to maintain and if not paid for before expires you can lose your domain name. Some out there look for businesses to mess up and then they will buy up the domain before the business can and hold it hostage at a cost to have it back. Rare that this happens but it has happened. The other thing most businesses do is buy up all domain names of all variety of sites under the same name, so they pay extra to own .com .edu  .gov  .net and so on so that noone can run a website with a very similar domain to your own.

Firstly, thanks for noticing this New THREAD (my first).
Secondly, I find that I'm prohibited from/unable to open any new or saved Excel files.
I double click. There is a hint of a flash of the opening Excel logo/page which disappears and I receive a pop-up, informing me that,

"There was a problem sending the command to the program"

I've found that after pinning Excel to the TASK BAR, opening it from there, choosing 'File' > 'Recent', I can choose a recently(?) used folder, then an Excel file and it will open just fine.
But it's a royal pain in the coit.
I would be grateful for any LIGHT that anyone can shed on this problem.

I was just on Cnet and they have a few free DOWNLOADS for WORD 2007, which is what I had been using.  When I had to get work done on my computer, somehow it got deleted and I have no word program.  I am running Windows 10, Intel Core I-5-4460, CPU 3.20 GH2, Ram: 8:00 GB, System Type: 64-bit op sys.  I don't use it much, but there are times when I want to type a letter, a fax, lists I want to print and save.  I have a very old Corel Word program on here from 1998, but when I try to pull up things I have typed before (like my sister's resume), it won't bring them up.  Is it a safe thing to do to download a free Microsoft Word 2007?  I don't want to pay a lot of money for a word program and I saw some on ebay that says they have never been opened, but they say it is for Vista 7 so I don't know if that would work on my Windows 10.  I'm not comfortable doing things with my computer until I ask someone first.  I may make things worse, I'm just not real computer savvy.  The Word 2007 was put on this computer by someone who has moved away with his disk, so can't ask to borrow it again.  Thanks in advance for any advice!

I bought an old Dell Optiplex 360 computer with a 2.93 GHz Core 2 Duo cpu and win7pro64 to use until I get my GAMING computer built.  It had no graphics card so I am thinking I'll use this one.  EVGA GeForce 210 DirectX 10.1 01G-P3-1313-KR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card  This computer has DX11 but the graphics card uses DX10.1  How do I go about changing over to DX10.1?  Will it replace DX11 if i download it?
ThxDirect X 10.1 is the maximum supported for this video card according to nVidia. Additionally this video card is weak. It wont hold up well to most modern games and will likely lag unless you reduce the graphics settings. I got one of these cards for free and I wasnt impressed with it at all, the older GeForce 9800GT works so much better than the newer Geforce 210. Additionally even the GT 430 I had was also weaker than the 9800 GT and the GT 430 is a DirectX 11 card. So I stuck it out with the older 9800GT in the one system of mine because the 9800 GT is better than low cost somewhat modern cards.

Just realized looking back that I misread your help REQUEST. I thought you wanted DX11 vs DX 10.1

The games themselves if they require an older DX then usually the games will invoke a call for older. For example on my one computer that I play older games on, the games came with DirectX 9 bundled with them and  they are either using the 9 that came with them or the DirectX 10 . I have yet to have any games that dont play with a newer version of DirectX. System I am on now has only 2 RAM slots and maxes out at 4GB. With the Core 2 Duo CPU the types of games you would be running should fall into the 4GB being plenty of RAM. Multitasking would eat up RAM so just limit what you have running at the same TIME which woudl also make for games to run better with CPU not having to juggle too much.So are you saying not to use the 9800GT?If you have a 9800 GT that would run better than the Geforce 210. Also to note, performance also depends on what your going to be running for games. Some games will run fine on a Core 2 Duo and a 9800 GT while others may require you to set the graphics settings lower to be able to play games with an acceptable frame rate.I want ot know where this "9800GT" comes from...The OP never mentioned it... Hopefully this is the right place for this question. I'm an experienced PC user but only now I'm starting to wrap my head around Cloud SERVICES and solutions.

I work as a Mechanical Engineer, and I rely on a lot of high-end engineering applications to perform my work. These applications also require a lot of resources, like fast processors and big chunks of data.

What I'm looking for now is a solution that allows me to my whole Windows 7 OS as it is (installed apps, current settings, current data) through the internet. Meaning, if my computer eventually breaks down or was lost or stolen, I'm able to access my OS immediately through a Cloud / VPS service / Virtual Machine, and can carry on the work like nothing happened.

Are there solutions like this, and if yes, what would you recommend? And most importantly, are these solutions safe?

When open some web page, they freezed.
I then open Windows TASK Manager and found FlashPlayerPlugin_22_0_0_209.exe was running.
If I stoped the flash by select FlashPlayerPlugin_22_0_0_209.exe and clicked the End Process button in the  Windows Task Manager, the web page can work again. However,

very quickly,  the FlashPlayerPlugin_22_0_0_209.exe will run again and the web page freezed again.
What I can do?

After I downloaded and installed the new FlashPlayer version, it was working fine. However, today, when open some webpages, they freezed again.
I then open Windows Task Manager and found no FlashPlayer was running. After quite a long time, the old version FlashPlayerPlugin_22_0_0_209.exe started to run and the webpages started to work!
Is this means some webpages need the old FlashPlayer version while some webpages need the new FlashPlayer version?

Does that work for you?  It did not work because I probably could not follow the directions properly. It starts with "Open Run"

 NOTE for Step 1.  FIRE Wall is on and I have Norton by Symantec but it was never activated.Thats part of the issue...you should only have 1 A/V app installed...Defender and Norton are both A/V apps....decide on 1 and ditch the other.

I have an HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 8.1 .  I want to temporarily turn off/disable Mcafee in the system tray while I install Nero 2015 Classic.  I did not see the options for this, so I searched Google.  The results say "double click the icon, then click Advanced tab".
There is not an Advanced tab on my home screen for Mcafee Antivirus Plus.  The options I have are Navigation, Manage Security, and the status of the various services of the software, such as Virus and Spyware PROTECTION.  I checked Mcafee support site with no better results.  The forum search only here does not work.  How do I turn off/disable it temporarily?

Should be under Manage Security...if not try rite cliking the icon and it should have a disable option...First of all,Ido not have the answer. Instead I have questions.

Have RUM ae a full backup for yur system recently?

If you an not happy with Mcafee Antivirus Plus, you should um-install it completely before changing over to anointer AV. Yo udo not want two AV systems running at the same time.

My suggestion is to makes sure you have a full backup at this point.
If something goes wrong, you can recovery  and get back to where you were.

I am not having trouble with the software.  I don't want to change anything with it.   I am not unhappy with it.  I do not want to uninstall it.  I want to temporarily disable it while I install software, which is a normal procedure.
What happened with right clik ? ?Here is a wiki that looks like what you want.
The idea is to only disable, but not remove the program for a short time.
