Solve : 2 problems :p?

Answer»

Hi, I have 2 problems with teh interweb.
firstly, my homepage (www.msn.co.uk) keeps being hijacked by www.search2web.com and I have no idea how to stop this.
secondly, I cant get MS Outlook to recognise my web-based hotmail email account. I go on tools..email accounts..Add account... HTTP account...type in all my details inc. password, email address, username and I then chose hotmail as my HTTP service provider..and Voila! 'connection to the server could not be made (www.msn.com/hotmail/blahblahblah/etc.etc :the server is offline mode')
*censored*??!
I signed in through www.hotmail.co.uk and suprise suprise, I logged in without incident
if we're being honest though, I didn't really know what i was doing...

after trying out all the programmes listed above, the one that worked the best was ad-aware. It detected something called lop, and www.lop.com is the same as www.search2web.com, the page that was hi-jacking my browser...But, a toolbar has appeared. It sits just above the taskbar and right click>>properties shows that it comes from www.lop.com/etc etc.. the CROSS button is just a picture and therefore does nothing. there is no way that I know of to get rid of it,  ad-aware says there are no more threats from lop, in fact it says there are no more adware threats on my computer at all...how do I get rid of this toolbar? it obstructs windows and gets in the way and is a real pain.magic plank.....  The best tool for removing a browser hijacker is ....hijackthis........ get it at ....  http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html

It probably became indifferent due to user abuse.

Install videocard drivers.Any examples   Clicking the box that says smooth scrolling does nothing.  We are using windows Xp.  This is something totally new. Just had my computer in for service as it was POINTED to wrong modem and couldn't get on the internet. When I got it back it was messed up in the scrolling. The whole screen appears every time you try to scroll using the arrow or the touch pad and it is like it is in slow motion. Guess I will just have to take it back to get fixed again. It is useable like this, but very annoying. Quote

Once again, somehow mysteriously overlooked my post.

No, didn't overlook your post, but just tried the other first. I don't know what a videocard driver is or how to install. Sorry, I am very new to computer use and language.  Thanks for the suggestion; but since I am too computer ILLITERATE to do what you suggested.....You first need to know what video card you have.
Download, install & run Everest Home Edition, it will tell you.

http://www.lavalys.hu/index.php

Then you go to the manufacturer's homepage, download & install the correct drivers for your video card & XP.

Take it slow, read the screens & check back here to let us know how it's going.

Solve : offline viewing?

Answer»

When i am not connected to internet,
if i want to view previously visited (while i was online) web pages ,
i can do this by selecting  file menu -> work offline
and then go to the history folder and visit the DESIRED pages.

But through this process, I have seen that certain pages open and  certain pages  do not open.
what' s the reason for some pages not opening??You may not have downloaded all of the contents for offline viewing.

I never make use of this function, SINCE I have cable, but if I were you I would select 'store as' so that you are certain it downloads what you are looking it.[size=16]Hi

For some days there are lots of thunder and rain in my locality.

As some devices of my cable internet service provider are destroyed due to this

they are often closing the internet connection and disconnecting the network

and again GIVING the internet connection 10 or 12 HOURS later

In these times i have to view offline.[/size]

Neither would I. Perhaps checking to see if cookies, etc. are disabled would be a GOOD idea... See if the browser is a trusted program... Or the media player...

First DETERMINE if you have a firewall installed. Then determine if this firewall is preventing Windows Media Player from accessing the Internet.I have a problem too with my windows media player 9.
After installing a bluetooth device, WMP could not connect to the internet. It was working well before that. I turned off all firewalls or as much as I am aware of, Norton Internet Security Firewall and the one on the network connection, but still it cannot connect to the internet. Could there be more firewalls blocking it or did the bluetooth installation altered something? Please help.... I cant even find a way to uninstall WMP. Its not in the Kontrolpanel Add/Remove Programs list... I am using Win Xp connected by DSL... Help me anyone :-[What bluetooth device!Toshiba Cubix Blue tooth ADAPTER

My COMPUTER works fine and we can access Instant Messenger and all computer programs, but if we try to access Internet Explorer, we get an "Illegal Operation has occurred" box and when you click on the box, the screen turns black.  Then if you want to access anything, you have to reboot.  We have noticed that if we have Instant Message WORKING, you can still use that as it stays on the screen, but the background is still black and the start keys and other keys at the bottom of the computer are still black.  Any suggestions? :-/Virus scanners

Solve : can't download large files?

Answer»

when i try to download large files they don't complete.
i.e: tried downloading a 250MB file but the download ended at 120MB.
whats with this? if someone could help.
i have comcast high-speed internet. if that helps too...... Well , perhaps you could let us in on what sort of file you are (were ) trying to D/L ? What operating system are you using ? Have you EVER been able to D/L a file of that size before ? Is the site you are trying to D/L from a reputable one ?
Are there any limitations as to the amount you can D/L from imposed by your service provided?
Perhaps the file you were trying to D/L was incomplete or corrupt.

Let us know and possibly we can assist you .

dl65  the file i'm downloading is a avi file. i'm using windows xp. no i haven't been able to download that size before because it does what i explained before. its reputable site. no limitations from my service provider. think that answers all the questions..... So your d/l always stops at 120 mb or just that one ?
Are you trying to D/l a movie by any chance ? Is this file coming from a p2p source by any chance ......?

Do you get any ERROR messages ?

I'm not being NOSEY , but you SEEM to be very tight LIPPED as to what it is your trying to d/l ...........The more info you can provide the easier it is to find a solution.

Have you tried to get the file using a download manager ?

dl65  well it stops at random i guess. yeah its a movie file. no i'm not using a p2p program. no error messages. i was being tight lipped didn't think it mattered.
i've downloaded adobe photoshop which is 170MB so i dont get it.The source may be bad. If this only concerns one file, do not bother looking into it.

maybe comcast has pegged your downloads.........over use of bandwith! just a though.no it happens to every large file i download. like when the download stops and the movie file is incomplete i can still watch it just not the whole thing. Are you trying to stream?

The transmission may be timing out.

I run my antivirus every night- Micro$oft anti spyware beta and Ad-Aware Personal

This just started when I opened up my computer when I came back from school.

Whenever my computer boots up, I press F12, and it shows me this list. I don't know what to pick for safe mode to run. I have XP.

If you have an older laptop, you may need to do the following:

You need a PCMCIA card (PC Card) together with a converter (Not quite certain how these are called). More information regarding PCMCIA can be FOUND here

Take the laptop with you to a dedicated computer store and tell them that you want to connect your cable modem to the laptop, they will inform you on the choices available and the price attached.Yea...I will e-mail my cable company.

Solve : Links won't open/new window?

Answer»

First of all, I am running Windows 98 and IE 6.

RECENTLY, I have been unable to open certain LINKS that require a new window. When I click on these links, my computer temporarily freezes up. There is no error message it just freezes and doesn't open.  I have tried to right-click and open in a new window and that doesn't seem to work either. Most of these links are javascript which might have something to do with it. I have tried re-installing IE 6 and running the repair tool.

I have no idea where to go from here. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The only thing Mozilla is not capable of is ActiveX.

No website requires ActiveX to log in. Unless you are visiting pornographic websites, which may require you to install dialers?

To Firefox's defense, I have used it for over a year now and I have found no problems logging in to any site. You must be blocking cookies or have Javascript disabled.

Solve : My Control key is hijacked!?

I accidently landed on some scum spam site and now every
time I use my control key to access a link on a webpage this other site pops up with their stupid directory.

Then I have to hit the back button on top of the pop up to
access the web page I originally wanted to see.

I can not figure out how to get this off my computer or off
my control key feature.

Can anyone give me some advice on this annoyance?

Thanks,

PeterWhat website is this? Use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. I can visit any website (with few additional security features) and never obtain any spyware or accept more data than I need. And yet I can get everything done what IE can?

Solve : Internet Explorer crashes when I try to play video?

Answer»

I have 3 user accounts on my system. Me , my wifes and a guest account. When were logged in to my wifes account and try to access any video over the Internet I GET a window pop up telling me IE encountered a error and needs to shut down. This does not happen on the other 2 accounts. They work fine. I tried adjusting all the setting I COULD think of. What could be causing this only one one account. I am Firewalled, have virus protection, pop up blocker and anti-spy ware. I ran scans on everything and shut everything down. This didn't help.AXEMAN, I'm going to save you time and frustration... Switch browsers... You will be much happier... Personally, I like MSN Explorer (free). YOu can download it here... http://www.download.com/MSN-Explorer/3000-2104_4-10119669.html?tag=lst-0-6 ... I use a different version, but this one works just as well.... Also, here is a more popular browser called Mozilla Firefox (also free). You can download it here... http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ ... IE is probably the worst browser around. It may never get fixed...  :-/  Try switching.

but if you don't want to do that...

all I can ask is:  What version of IE is installed?  Is it up-to-date?  Version 6.  Yes it's up to date. Quote

Version 6.  Yes it's up to date.

what is her security setting?

Medium. I've changed it, still won't work.   Well...

I really don't know what to say...

I still suggest that you upgrade to Firefox.  It is more advanced, and has a higher security level than IE.  It has some awesome features too.

But, back to the problem. -- All I can suggest is Reinstalling IE.  Is the video trying to play using Windows Media Player?Yes WMP.   I use Windows Pro Corp. Isn't IE a component of that? How would I uninstall and re-install just IE?Okay..well..this brings me back to the age old question.  Is WMP updated?  IE and WMP TRY and operate seamlessly, so if there is a problem with one, there is gonna be a problem with the other.

You necessarily wouldnt have to uninstall the current IE, just try downloading it from Microsoft.  I have never tried it, so I am not sure that it will work.  But I don't believe that it would be a problem.

However, if you want to uninstall the old IE, just go to

Control Panel
Add or Remove Programs..
And along the side, click on "Add/Remove Windows Components"
Find IE
Uncheck itYes WMP and IE and everything is up to date. OK this may sound stupid but....That's how I thought you removed IE. I did that and was still able to surf the web...how's that! Quote

What kind of 'information' did it need?Do you have virus protection? Spyware protection?

[glb]Flame[/glb]I installed People PC.com on a Packard Bell with windows 98.  It asked that I update the windows system so I did and it downloaded their system.  I turned the system off as it requested and when it came back up all I have is a blank red screen.  I still get the upload system when it COMES on and the windows 98 screen but it takes me to NOTHING. I do have system "virus" protection but couldnt tell you the name of it.  It tells me that Explorer has performed an illegal operation and will shut down. I can not delete the program cause I can not get into the system. Quote

Exactly what is this? This program is not related to Microsoft and I doubt it is related to Packard Bell?

Why did you install it?

You can not delete Explorer.exe as it is part of Windows.

People PC.com is an internet system that I have installed on three of my other computers without any problems UNTILL now.  It installed just fine on the other systems and the only error I am getting with this system is that explorer is causing the problem.  I downloaded the system just as I had done on the others only difference being the update of the files that the system did when installing the internet on the computer. I know that I can not delete the explorer system but I also can not delete the internet system either because I can not get to the desk top now. Quote

I have been thr all of the options that the safe mode ASKS with no results as of yet. I do still have my screen saver coming up after the wait time  but I no ability to access any files of any kind.looking thru microsoft forums i found that someone else has the same error message."crash any hope" under"microsoft windows". although her problem states under c:>win  hemi is missing and ours is not our problem is the same error msg. is there any hope???
If you are allready familar with Microsoft.com, try looking for a way to replace system files with Windows 98. I believe this is possible, but I don't know how. Never used Windows 98 that extensively.

Can you not access any website at all, but you do have an internet connection?

Have you configured the DNS server in your TCP/IP settings according to your providers instructions?

I can access most sites.  Mainly the ones that require a log in I cannot access.  Such as hotmail, ebay, hushmail,  etc.  How do I configure the DNS server.  Not sure what the TCP/IP settings are.  thanksIf you are accessing the net your DNS and TCP/IP are OK. What these sites seem to have in common is secure log in. If you have a firewall and/or router check to see that port 443 is not being blocked. Also check your browser settings under advanced and make sure that it is using SSL.I am having this same problem and have no clue how to check if port 443 is being blocked. Can you tell me how to check that.  I have done all of the others things suggested in this thread and I still cannot access any sites with secured logins.  This is a huge problem for me since I cannot access the site the I use for work everyday and I have to work on Tuesday!!  HELP PLEASE.

Another problem Im having is that my computer was running fine until Friday night.  I ran my spybot and cleaned up my computer.  I also deleted some unused programs and installed a new internet security provided free by my ISP.  In addition to not being able to access sites with secured logins which happened before I downloaded the new internet security software, I cant run the new antivirus software supplied with it.  My subscription for Norton expired and I didnt renew since my ISP provided a free antivirus program.  But in order to run it I must first uninstall Norton.  When I ATTEMPT to do this from the control panel Add/Remove program option it keeps telling me that I must be LOGGED in as an Administrator to uninstall it.  I AM the only user on this computer and do have Administrator privileges.  It tells me to login to Norton as an administrator and uninstall.  However, when I open Norton it wont let me login because its expired.  How the heck do I uninstall it now?  Nortons website is no help.

Also, please dont suggest that I download Mozilla and forget about IE because I tried that already and everything I tried in Mozilla told me that it couldnt connect to the internet and I have cable internet access.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

TammyThe SSL under advance are both checked.  the 2.0 and 3.0.  How do I go about checkin the firewall/router for port 443I just removed norton symantec internet security.  So far I can log into everything now. What should I replace this with.  Thanks for everyones helpZone Alarm or Sygate personal firewall. The Norton firewall had the port blocked.I have seen that before. In one case, Symantec Internet security would cause Internet Explorer to completely stop showing web pages.

Try using a more reliable firewall such as

Sygate Personal

Im still having the same problem.  I dont know how to check if port 443 is blocked, I cannot uninstall Norton, it wont let me, and my system restore has only one date that I can use for restoration prior to the problem and it wont restore for some reason.

The sites that I use for my job (I work at home on the computer) I cant access.  I really need this problem fixed so I can work and support my 4 kids!

Please help!!!

Solve : School web filters?

Answer»

Since most schools use IE they put on a third party system which is downloaded opnto the browser but doesn't come with it. Download IE 6 on your home computer and put it on a floppy so you can put it on the school computer. Uninstall IE on that computer completely then put in your floppy and upload IE 6. The reason this works is because it reinstalls IE and it doesn't have the filter on it anymore. Please don't do this to look at porn or any of that sick crap, just to go to sites that the filter unfairly blocks.Wow, power to the SPOTTY teenagers who are oh-so oppressed.
Ever think those filters are on there for a reason? Also, if the school is using Windows XP Professional, I don't think it will work, becuase students will have a "student account" which is "limited", meaning that you usually can not install any rograms, or go into the program files... One more THING... Most schools have it where whenever the computer shuts down, and starts back up, it brings back all the settings that the school had before a student went on it... So your idea would probably only work for a day if you are able to tamper with files...

Solve : Proxy Server settings change during web serfing?

Answer»

I have two problems, one regarding my Home Page(MSN) and the second is a Proxy Server setting.
re: the Home Page. The window REACHS the 2 items remaining and does not reach the done notation. This does not appear to be too much of a problem , more of an annoyance.
re:Proxy Server. My computer is a stand alone- no Lan settings (I think).  The computer operates normally and I can visit several web sites until I receive the "This page cannot be shown---" message.
When I GO to the Internet Options/Lan settings, the Proxy Server option has been changed and is now marked. The default Proxy Server option is unmarked on bootup.
I don't know what is changing this setting while i am web surfing. This is getting very tiring. I've search KB's and read various forum question/answers hoping to find an answer to this problem. Can someone help?Is your computer clean?

I have not found the answer there.Decide which thread you want to keep open, then go to the other thread & leave a message advising the thread remain unanswered so it can fade away into cyberspace.
Much better results will be achieved.OK, this is the thread.

I asked you to click on the links above because I had no idea what if any virus & spyware protection & scanners you have or if they are up to date.

I've found not all scanners find all problems but if you get through Panda (online up to date) then you are PROBABLY clean.

Ewido is another very aggressive scanner but you need to read the screens because if you blindly click delete you may remove one of your own 'toys'.

No DOUBT you also have Hijackthis but did you know that proxies show up in the Hijackthis logfile?

If Panda gives you a clean bill of health then run Hijackthis and look for proxies.

Do you run your Spybot Teatimer locking down IE?

What Operating System?
W2k or XP then you should download, update & run Microsoft Antispyware too. It's a very good program.

Do you have a Firewall?Thank you FED for your input. I now have a definite direction to procede instead of wandering around aimlessly. I will post the results of my adventure when I have something to report. Again, thank you. It's good to start problem solving with a clean level playing field.

Solve : Proxy server activation?

Answer»

How do I prevent my Lan Settings(proxy Server) from ACTIVATING while I am surfing the INTERNET.
I am the sole operator  of my computer therefor  I am not NETWORKING. When I first turn on the computer and check the Internet options/Lan Settings the Proxy Servers is unmarked. Internet Explorer works normally and I can change web sites  until the  computer hangs up and I receive the   "this page cannot be shown----" message.
When I check the Internet Option/Lan Settings again  the Proxy  Server has now been changed and is marked. Unmarking the Proxy Server  allows me to use the internet. I am getting tired of the resetting. Can SOMEONE OFFER a solution to my problem?

Solve : Desktop shortcuts and some links no longer work?

Answer»

Recently, I've noticed that none of my desktop shortcuts work as well as some links to the internet. I recently let my DAUGHTER install AIM on the computer and hate to tell her that I think AIM is CAUSING this. I don't like AIM. It seems to want to take control of my computer.  Please help.
I am running XP Home and use IE.Well, this can be caused by a number of things... Do you have virus and Soyware protection? What are you using? Have you made any chnages to your system recently? Also, despite what you may think, AIM is not trying to take over your computer. The worst it does is give you a pop-up when you start it... What makes you say that it is taking over your computer? Also, this could be Internet explorer acting up... The botom line is, nobody likes IE... Switch browsers to Mozilla Firefox... You will be much happier    Download it here... http://www.mozilla.org/ ... Keep in touch...

[glb]Flame[/glb]I ran Norton Antivirus, Spybot and Adaware. I had a few adwares, but nothing major. I haven't made any changes to my system. I hate AIM because it STARTS even after I went to the Start-up page (in msconfig) and opted for it NOT to turn on when I boot up my computer. It added an AOL toolbar (which I deleted). It changed my homepage to an AOL site (which I changed back). Although, most of that is probably my fault for not watching my daughter closer when she installed AIM. She probably just clicked "YES", "YES", "YES" everytime it aked her. LOL
But I guess I'll try Firefox. I hear a LOT of people like it.I just switched to Firefox and made it my default browser. All my links and shortcuts now work again.

So long Internet Explorer!   Are you able to open any site with IE Quote

Solve : Font Change?

Answer»

Hello.  I have a problem with the FONTS on various web pages.  All of a sudden they are very tiny; I know they should be larger as there are several sites I visit daily and have noticed a HUGE change.  What can I do to fix this?  Some of them are so small they are difficult to READ. No other fonts (like on the desktop, etc.) have changed.

click view on the top  taskbar.......click text size.......normally medium.........and of course some sites do have little fonts........it was how the webscript was written?Oh that was so EASY! The last time it happened we did the whole system restore thing.  I feel pretty stupid.    My next question is why would that have changed on it's own?

Thanks so much for your help!Maybe a virus/or an update from msoft.......if unsure scan for the net nastys........or if future if you have winxp.....hold down the f8 key on boot -up and from the on-screen list......chose the last good config from the list.....by using the arrow keys from your keyboard.....You can also change the size by holding down the Ctrl key & scrolling your mouse wheel at the same time.
Very handy for badly written web pages.Wow Fed,

I haven't noticed that thing.

A handy ONE, indeed.

i.explore.exe      cpu=00       mem usage= 32,960k

How can you set the BUFFER time in WMP 6.4 ?

Thanks! The problem is the Main Concept mpeg codec.  It messes up Media Player so it won't stream mpgs.BTW, what this?

If you ever see anything on the internet, pop-ups etc. that say something like "Speed up your computer", "Remove unwanted programs", etc. DO NOT CLICK ON IT! MOney aside, you are not likely to get ANYTHING good from this. If you didn't go searching for it, don't download it!!!!!  (And if you did go searching for it, make sure it was recommended by someone you trust, like Raptor!)OK thanks for the advice GX1_Man. Maybe you should use things that are:

1) free
2) widely used
3) safe
4) highly recommended

such as Ad Aware or Spybot. Or better yet Ad Aware AND Spybot!I already have ad-adware and spybot and run scans daily.  Thanks  though! But do you run Spybot in advanced mode?
Do you run the Spybot Teatimer?
Have you installed the Spybot hosts file?
Have you activated the Spybot IE tweaks?

Spybot is more than just a scanner.
Yikes!  No I thought that was the only thing you could do with Spybot was do the scans.  Thanks for pointing that out Fed and I will try to figure out how to do all the things you mentioned.   :-/  Thanks again.

1. You're Internet service provider is having issues with their DNS server, which resolves the names of all the addresses on the Internet. UNFORTUNATELY something like this could only be determined by contacting your ISP.

2. Firewall or other security settings on your ROUTER or software programs installed on your computer is causing pages to be blocked. Sounds like you've disabled your firewall so my only other suggestion would be to disable any other security programs such as your virus scanner (programs like Norton have their own firewall), Windows XP firewall (assuming you have windows XP), etc.

3. You're encountering browser issues, either the browser itself is BAD or you have Spyware or ranother browser add/on the computer causing issues. To help determine this issue you may want to try an alternative browser such as Firefox (http://www.firefox.com)1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Security tab
6. Reset all security zones to Default

And/or

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Advanced
6. Restore Defaults button.

You may need to do the following as well

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. General tab
6. Remove cookies, temporary files and history

Solve : Internet Explorer revealing personal info?

Answer»

I am sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else,i searched before i posted.

I have noticed on some sites that i visit post my ip,isp and browser info in a box on the site. Is there anyway i can adjust my settings or any program that i can GET that will STOP this? Thank You,cobberhead

i am using:
WINDOWS XP Home sp2
IE - 6
McAfee VirusScan 2006
McAfee Personal Firewall Plus 2006
Microsoft AnitSpyware Beta & Adaware SeFrom my knowledge, your IP is not in any danger unless you do not have a firewall. McAfee should mask it for you. I had the same question, and it sounded like it wasn't a big deal when I asked... Just keep on top of updates

[glb]Flame[/glb]thank you for the quick RESPONSE. i didnt know what else someone could see but i feel lots better now.Think about it.

Your IP is known because the request was sent from your ip to the website.
Your Server is known because the request was sent through your server to the website.
Your browser is known because it was your browser that sent the request.

The first two can be 'hidden' by using a proxy but there is no point unless you move on the 'dark' side.   Quote

Well said, Fed.
thats the funny part, i am through a proxy and my true ip is showing through such as on www.danasoft.com - I am using direcpc 2-way satelite. Most sites such as http://www.pcflank.com/ where i go to test my firewall tells me that i am behind a proxy and cannot attempt to connect directly to me. But others can, thats what i was getting at. "Dark Side"SOMETIMES i feel that way, lol. But the darker we can get the more secure we shall be don't ya think?  Have a read, it's free.

Solve : webpage does not print properly?

Answer»

:-/ I use internet explorer and when I try to view web pages, it seems that more often than not I cannot view the whole page, I have to TOGGLE the bar at the bottom of the screen to view the left and right sides of the page - but what really twists my frame is that when I try to print, the entire right-hand side of the page is cut off.  Can anyone help me fix this problem?  If it matters, I'm using Win XP home edition -
ThanksStop using Internet Explorer and start using Mozilla Firefox

You may also wish to do the following:

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Security tab
6. Reset all security zones to Default

And/or

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Advanced
6. Restore Defaults button.Hold down the f11 key and try again to print.....Pamela L. Patnode.... Does this occurr on all the pages you view or only some ?  It may well be that the pages you are having issues with were designed to be viewed in a SPECIFIC screen size ( resolution ) ..........For example if say your monitor was set to display say ....800 X 600 and the page you are viewing was designed to be best viewed at 1024 X 768 ........you would have to use the navigation bar to see the total width of the page .......
You might try increasing the resolution ( screen size ) and see if this resolves your issue.

dl65  I agree with dl65 up there....

however...if that doesnt work, you might need to change the font TYPE for your prints...or mess with your PRINTING settings..Dl65 -

You're a genius!  You fixed my 'puter.  Thanks a bunch!That LUCKY no. of dl65 -> 3333

By the way what was the problem.I guess it was the resolution.  When I changed it, I could even "see" the whole page instead of having to move the bar on the bottom of the screen back and forth.  Thanks again.click the little square box on the top left of the window... adjust printer properties.......

Solve : Favorites for all users?

Answer» HI,

Currently I have 3 users in my computer using Win XP Home edition. How can I make the INTERNET explorer to use the favorites for all users rather than different favorites for different users. So that I don't have to update to other user favorties when I change user.

ANYBODY known. THANK !!IE>File>Import & Export........ maybe?  Try installing IE to the all users folder instead of seperate installs for each user. There are different profiles for different users.

Just make batch file which will copy the favourite folder of the user you want ot use to other profiles.

Run this batch file when you need to.
