The program was installed with no trouble but when I try to run it I get a message saying, "This program requires SVGA, set to a MINIMUM of 640x480 resolution and 256 colors", but my screen resolution is set to 1280x1024 and can GO no smaller than 800x600; and for color quality I get the option of either 'medium (16 bit)' or 'highest (32 bit)'. What can I do to run the game? or should I just THROW the disc out?Compatability mode. |

Solve : monitor screen rotates 90 degrees? |

Answer» The monitor screen rotates 90 degrees when exiting from Call of Duty Demo. This means the system tray ends up running up the right hand side of the screen making it very difficult to even use the mouse to shut down. Thanks Raptor I've dowloaded the latest video drivers and this appears to have done the trick. You should always keep up to date with videocard drivers, but, this issue could have been solved if you had done the following as well: 1. Right click on the Desktop 2. Properties 3. Settings TAB 4. Advanced 5. Search for a tilt tab or something similiar. I only have ATI videocards.My screen rotated in random DIRECTIONS with an old packard bell, shortly after the mother board fried. |

Also, I don't know if this help you help me, but I have a p3 1200MHz and the min req is 800MHz and the recommand is p3 1.0GHz. My sound card is integrated and I got it in 2001.Is this an illegal version? If yes, don't bother.No, it is legal because I have the box, the cd and the reciept for it.Pay the GAME makers site a visit.......maybe you need a patch.......as most software is not always checked for flaws.....moving the game completely, even from the registry if it has been partially installed. Then try installing it from a different CD-ROM drive if present.i had one print on the cd and after I cleaned it the game was installed. now i hope i can play it. |

I play GTA:SA and there is one point in the game where the game becomes sluggish even though there is no noticeable difference in the environment.That is EXACTLY my problem!! It looks the same, but is impossible to play, because it seems to be .005 FPS. Frame... Frame... Frame... Quit Game!Yep, darn bugs. You can try using software such as 3DMark 2001 to determine if certain textures or features cause problems with your videocard or system.software problem.........not hardware......Quote software problem.........not hardware...... Thanks for you input. Drivers are software. OK. Where would I find different drivers that will be compatible with an NVidia, but aren't NVidia drivers themselves? Thinking for a sec...I do believe it could be the TEXTURE. I had less severe problems near that area, like a black hole of framerate. You see, there are about 8-9 areas with the same texturing in that "world". The first is an "entrance" to the place with my biggest problem. As my character entered this "entrance", I noticed the same problem. However, my game allows me much freedom in rotating my Point Of View (POV, for any newbies out there). So, I can go the same direction even when looking at my character run toward or away from or to the side of my screen. So, I oriented my view so I could just look at a brick wall, and my character running and me seeing just his left side. Oh, joy. But at least my FPS was decent again. So, I had that problem, but I could just change my POV. Now, I got near the spot I'm posting about, and the game's walls curve in like this: ) ( So, I see a dramatic improvement of my FPS. (Like false hopes, no?) So, I enter the trouble area, this first time without knowing there would be a problem... Now, the game likes to "fade in from black" whenever I change what "area" I'm in. So, normally, it takes 4-5 seconds to regain control of my character as it smoothly fades in from black. This time, however, it is black for one second, then it slowly fades in, and definately NOT smooth. It is the choppiest I've ever seen any game. Finally, the area is revealed... It is a WIDE, OPEN space, and there aren't any walls to look at. (Besides, there's dangerous creatures on these plains, and you do NOT ever turn your back to them if you want any chance at winning this game). When I move the mouse to change orientation and look around, the view "jerks" after a whole second, where it would normally take about 0.000002 seconds to do that. So, it's basically an area of wide plains textures, with a few poorly rendered trees. That's all I see. So, that's my story. I haven't played that game in a month after that. So, yeah, it's the textures, and I hope a new driver can work (If i can find one)Quote You can try using software such as 3DMark 2001 to determine if certain textures or features cause problems with your videocard or system. Instead of reading my LONG story, just know that it is a 95% chance of it being a texture. Quote Frame... The "quit game" part was my choosing. The game would have been content to leave me in utter frustration, just so you know. The game didn't crash. There are tweaked drivers available for ATI video cards. Some fan boys must have done the same for nVidia videocards.But how do I find them? Do a Google Search for "Tweaked NVidia Drivers"? And how in the heck can I make sure they do what I want, and that none have viruses attached? I'll do what I have to (I didn't pay $49.99 for the game for nothing) but I want to make sure what I'm doing is right.I am not certain. I know that ATI tweaked drivers are called DNA or SOMETHING similiar. I tried them once. You should look on overclocking forums and ask there. |

Answer» i've just installed Daemon TOOLS and i was loking for a game to mount to a virtual drive, so i chose lego starwars. i burnt the .iso and mounted it to a virtual drive, but when i LOAD lego starwars, it says there is an emulator detected. please turn offf virtual drives and software, even with the emulation enabled! Answer» The another patch has been RELEASED, go to filefront and get it or wherever, just thought i would let yall know Battlefield 2 v1.02 is a HOTFIX that REPAIRS the memory leak found in v1.01. (This patch replaces all previous updates) And this caused what kind of problems?absolutely none, i WISH they would start fixing the weapons nowWhat is wrong with the weapons? I find them to be QUITE balanced. The heavy support guns could use some more accuracy, though. And the M4, M24 and Blackhawk a little bit less.I was mainly talking about the SAW, the rest of the support weapons are good, im unlocking the PKM for my second unlockI have yet to play on ranked servers. I'm expecting the players there to be a whole lot better than on the unranked servers or is that not true?Thats not realy true, i usualy rank in the top 3 on most of the ranked servers i play, most of the people suckYou can say that again. Today someone positioned himself behind my tank on purpose, only to be run over and punish me. If your not in a ranked server it doesnt realy matter, ive had people try to run me over that are on my team, the worst way to get a tk is when your own team runs over one of your mines and punishes you, when they do that i like to cuss at them alot, it gives me a real kickThey did tag the mines this time, it was a nightmare in BF1942. |

Answer» oh i have 2 120 mm fans, and 2 80 mm fans...dont know what else you could mean....im positive i have all the UPDATED drivers and i downloaded memtest and let it run when i was at work one night it went thru 17 times with no errors...and ive been watching the heat on all my components when this happens...it doesnt get about 65 degrees celcius...and my graphics card doesnt shut off til 135 degrees celcius... then i found thermal throttleing in my bios and disabled it.. i played musical chairs with my ram ALSO and found out it doesnt cut off with just 1 stick of ram...but if i put both in it will mess up. so i emailed kingston and well see what they say after the holiday...i think i have it down to somthing to do with my ram or my ram SLOT on my motherboard might be messed up...By swapping ram STICKS & ram slots around you should be able to determine if the problem is with a ram stick or a slot. |

Answer» I can't get Rayman 3 to work. I've tried it on three computers (one new and running Windows XP Home Edition, another one from 2000 running Windows Millennium Edition, and yet the other one (lol) from 1997 running Windows 98 first edition) and none of them would work. OF course, Windows 98 probably wouldn't support the game anyway. The CD may be damaged. Is it an illegal COPY?Are all or one of these computers compatible with the game? Also, answer Raptor's question... |

Answer» hey i just downloaded the ePSXe emulator and UNZIPPED it and installed the plugins and FOUND a .bios, SCPH1000.bin and when i try to load the cd or iso it just says: This application failed to start because KAILLERCLIENT.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this PROBLEM. After i click okay it says: * ERROR loading [plugins\ps4net.dll] i have tried re-installing it but it just says the same stuff. Please help me. Solve : DirectX Problem with MOH: Pacific Assault? |

Answer» Just installed MOH: Pacific Assault. When I try to load it I get an error message telling me my video card doesn't support DirectX 8.1. I'm running XP SP2 with NVIDIA GeForce4 MX4000 video card, which does support 8.1 (in fact, I'm currently running 9.0c). Anyone know what the problem might be?Have you tried updating your video card drivers? Have you looked at the game manufacturer's website for support documents similar to your issue? |
