I bought Fallout 3 recently, but am a bit disappoint with it. Can't play for more than 20 minutes without the thing crashing. Usually happens when opening the Pipboy but sometimes completely at random. I've downloaded the patch and everything. Even tried the to reinstall and tried it on my laptop as well. Anyone else have a lot of issues with it?I have experienced the same thing with both FO3 and ES4:Oblivion. (still do with the ES4)

Im assuming you are getting BSOD'd like I did...but FO3 did not seem to like my nVidia drivers at all. I would get nv4_disp.dll errors/BSODs when loading, especially when opening the PipBoy or going through a door, but it also happened when walking around in the middle of nowhere. I fixed this by downgrading my drivers a few steps. (from 190.something to 175.16) Of course this degraded performance a little, (by up to 10 or so FPS) but I could live with it as long as it didn't BSOD anymore

Oblivion does not like my creative sound blaster 5.1 card, either. It will randomly hand out BSODs from the P16X.dll creative driver, whether i am in 5.1 EAX surround or not.

So I would disable the automatic restart function of windows, (assuming XP here) RIGHT click "my computer" and select properties, under the advanced tab select the third settings button and then untick the "automatically restart on system failure" box and try run it again. I was actually at WORK when I posted that. I'm back home now and was playing earlier and only then did I notice there is a BSOD. It's been popping so fast that I hadn't even noticed. I've turned off the auto-reboot. I'll play for a bit and SEE if I can't make it crash again.An hour and a half of playing and finally got it to crash.

I have a Dell XPS410 and run Vista. I have been in SECOND Life for a while but after they made me upgrade to a new viewer, I keep getting logged off and when I relog into the sim where it HAPPENED, I no longer have streaming music available. If I LOG into a different sim, I have music but if I teleport to the first sim again, the music doesn't change but I have the music from the sim I relogged into. It seems there is something on my system that doesn't like something in SL so I GET the Ping sound and get booted off. Any help would be appreciated.Might be a bad install. Have you tried completely UNINSTALLING SL and reinstalling it from a new fresh download?yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled and even went to the Emerald viewer thinking that would help. I will say that I found an extra cache folder in the SL documents that I deleted and since then it hasn't happened. I also used a software cleaner to do my hard drive.

i have recently gotten into playing gunz through ijji, and it loads up all fine however whenever i come to actually play a game, it lags and runs all juddery, my SPECS are fine, i have like 2gb ram, and latest DRIVERS for ati radeon, plus i have tried running in lowest QUALITY, what can it be?
some one please help me!When it COMES to playing games over the interweb which I ASSUME is what you are doing you need to look closer at the internet connection rather your specs. also take a look at the host as well.
If it is just a game then I will look back into it.

Ok I got a really weird problem.

I can play Call of duty 4 Singleplayer on max screen resolution and on max graphic option whit a really good FPS, but when I change to multiplayer I get some serious LAG issue even if I change to the LOWEST of the lowest graphic option whit the lowest screen resolution.

And I have 8Mb/s and my friend whit a even worse computer whit 2Mb/s can play just fine whit medium graphic settings.

So what is the problem whit multiplayer?

(the game is not downloaded it's a valid CD key, and it's on a real server, and no stuff abut it)

Only think I can think of is your connection is crap somewhere down the line. Ethernet card, router... etc.I got 8Mb/s Down and I got 5Mb/s up and it DOSE not lag like if it where the internet connection, more like my graphic card could not handle it...

I need help for,
1. While playing death to spies game , when I reached to 8th mission the players vision starts to blackout on monitor, means as the player looks TOWARDS the enemy large triangular black strips appear on monitor and the vision disappears, game remains continued except graphics.
2. To solve above problem I tried to change resolution through game setting, but with certain settings like 1028 x768 the problem remains same.
So I tried higher resolutions, and now when I click to start game, the game starts but the monitor goes blank and displays message out of range 56hz to 85hz. Even after I uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

Does anyone else have this game? If so, are you as disappointed as I am? I mean, the gameplay itself is okay, but I was really hoping for more than just a GH: Metallica clone. The game is still SLIGHTLY disappointing (these menus are horrible), but at least I can get some enjoyment out of playing the songs now.

I don't know if my settings will working for anyone else, but my game is calibrated to Audio: 0ms, Video: 41ms.

If you prefer FPS games I would suggest War Rock AWESOME game. 2K games produced it I believe , they are experienced in making FPS game (try Prey for a taster) . FPS/RPG game sorta. You can choose any of five branches (you can change during games) and (in team deathmaches) you fight the opposing side for supremacy of the map using guns , helis , tanks , humvs and jets (and more) . there is a wide variety of guns (I'm guessing between 50 and 70 ) and you get start off guns with slots , each has a knuckle and sidearm , but each has a different weapon as main (medic , engineer , assault sniper , heavy) and everyone except the medic and engineer have a two grenades , with the enginneer and medic having a spanner (to repair vehicles) and a medikit (to repair people )

i beat fear 2 and downloaded the expansion and it was working FINE. then i get to a ceritan LOAD screen and it errors out to where my choices are to report it or dont report. im at a loss here pls help my guess is to send a report and then wait and HOPEFULLY they will fix it but apart from that thers not much else you can do Sending an error report is ABSOLUTELY Useless.

Try reinstalling Fear 2.I re installed Fear 2 and the expansion But left the saved game files and i picked up where i left off and it works Great.

When i PLAY bloons which is an internet flash game, my arrow keys ACT funny. For example, if i press up, it will go left and continue to go left or whatever arrow button i press it goes in the opposite direction, sometimes it doesnt go at all. However when i play on another persons computer, its fine. I have cleaned my keys, tried using different keyboard keys instead of arrows, and it doesnt help. well after recently reformatting my pc due to virus issues, i go to reinstall Call of Duty 4 on my pc. However when it gets to a certain point, a cargo ship video I think in the installation, it says the file cannot be found. I am at a loss here.hmmm, did you download it (torrent) or did you buy the disc? if you bought the disc i would go to your supplier (gamestop or best buy or whatever) and if you DOWNLOADED it i would probably just download it again, hope it helped I have it on a disc but the THING is it was given to me 2 years ago by my friend because it wouldn't run on his pc and I don't know where he got it. I want to get a basic message on how "involved" people are in their gamesI've done both

I've designed levels for Duke Nukem 3d, made some simple modifications to it, wrote Random map scripts for Age of Empires 2, made heavy customizations to my quake autoexec.cfg files, as well as those for my DOOM ports, Zdoom, GZScoreDoom, etc.

Not sure if it counts but I couldn't stand the music in NFS Underground so I replaced it... That's not really a simple task, which is KIND of dumb. Same story with Hot Pursuit 2.

I'm sure there are a lot of other games I have that I'm messed downlevel with but I can't remember them all Moddding was my passion 3 yrs ago

I've done modding, level building, modeling, and scripting for more games than I can remember. Doom, Doom II, and Duke3D levels is what I got started with. I did a conversion of Duke3D called "Star Wars: Duke Forces" way BACK in the day in which Duke worked his way through Star Wars Episodes 4-6. I also did levels for Quake and Quake II. I did many levels for Counter Strike, although I never really liked the game, I just loved making levels for it. One of my levels, The Tumbler, was used at the CS Asian Championships about 5 years ago. I've done tons of maps for Command & Conquer, Red Alert, C&C Generals, Civilization 4, Stronghold 1 & 2, Stronghold Legends, Age of Empires III, and Heroes of Might and Magic II-V. I spent years making models, scripts, and modules in the Aurora toolset for Neverwinter Nights and I'm currently learning the toolset for Dragon Age: Origins, focusing mostly on scripting and level design.How many of your have TRIED modding? Other wise you cant do it.I don't have any source code files. all I have are exe file and game files (presented in the format of .dat). Hello. My problem is quite weird - new games, with advanced graphics, such as Call of Duty 5, GTA IV, Race Driver GRiD after playing any of them few minutes (maybe about 5-10) run slower, however the first minutes of playing are comfortable, with high AMOUNT of FPS, after that few minutes FPS amount goes down, making playing almost impossible (15-20 FPS I GUESS). When I alt-tab them and wait few minutes, it goes to normal, but only for a while. It doesn't matter if the graphics settings are minimum or maximum, the same happens. I've experienced this problem several monthes ago, but after formating HDD and reinstaling my Windows XP PRO SP3 all games were working fine. However, recently the problem came back and even formating half of the HDD with the system didn't help.

My PC is:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86 Ghz
GF 8800 GTS 320 MB (latest OFFICIAL drivers)
3 (2+1) GB RAM 533 Mhz (Kingston)
Motherboard - ECS P4M890T-M2
power is 450W Warrior or something like that
HDD 250 GB

Open Task Manager to the Processes tab. Click the title "cpu" at the top of the cpu column twice to sort that column with highest usage at the top. Leave task manager open and play your game. When it starts to slow down look at Task Manager. Is there a process with a high number in the cpu column?I don't think it's overheating - when the problem appeared the first time, formating helped. My GPU and CPU temperatures are way too high however, but it's not the reason, because with the same temperatures everything was working correctly time ago.
And no, there is no process or application slowing down my PC.
I've read that what causes this may be not much enough space on HDD, but I've got over 90 GBs of free space on C and over 30 on D.if its a desktop
try running with the case open
and a fan blowing inside and see how it does
also you could try a defrag
have you tried running defrag on it? that may help if you haven't. And you say it has been overheating, could you try and check to see what everything is running at temperature wise? Another thing i noticed is that you're Ram is only 533mhz, which would also cause the games to run slowerSum days before my pc was

I tried using GAME ACCELERATOR it worked

now i just changed ma pcAlright, i really think that the overheating thing is what is bottlenecking your system. When the video card or the cpu get overly high, things start to slow down and get real choppy.

Since you have alot of free space on your HD, you can try to clean up some of those BS files. use ccleaner, and then a disk defrag, and a disk cleanup. This should SPEED things up a little.

I would take the side panel off your pc, and then put a fan near it. If it doesnt do it you will then know your problem. Good luck man.Careful about overheating, if the comp is in a small room w/ poor ventilation you can cause permanent damage to the CPU. So reloacting the Comp is an option too.Man, i had the same problem.

It's great man!Motherboards BIOS's at times also try to be energy conservative for some builds. Go into Bios and make sure that power saving features are disabled so its running full speed all the time. I had a Intel Dual-Core 2.4Ghz HP that ticked me off with the powersave feature clocking up and down the games exectution process. Went in there and shut off power save features for optimum performance and games were smooth then on.

when i am harvesting or plowing on farmtown i can only harvest or plow maybe three plots to everybody elses 10, it seem like something using up my cpu but nothing ELSE is running. i have TRIED IE6, IE8,chrome, safari and opera they all do the same, i got a 3000MHz cpu and 2GB ram.
have reinstalled firefox my pc is clean (temp, cookie, defrag).
well if you can think of anything i could try let me know.

PS could a courpt adobe flashplayer cause it, thing on reinstall it next.I play FarmVille and I am lvl 30. Some times there are problems with the server that drives me up the wall... There are not to many problems and its not down for that long. I am happy with it its really buggy still
I play Farmville, it increases my cpu usage up to about 35-40%, although nothing else is running. JamesN

if its there server MAKING things slow, wouldnt everbody be slow. someone will hire me and two more folks to harvest or plow 200 plots well by the time i get maybe 10 to 15 plowed/harvest the other two people have finished the rest of it .
i dont have but 1024MB memory in this PC and i noticed that i only have about 600MB FREE, would this make a differance?
i dont know i got 4GB memory on my gameing PC and it does the same thing.

I dont know why it does it, it use to do it all the time but I think it dont help changing screen and stuff. Just keep farmvillie up and down click on lots of other thing and I think it has helped on the Mac. But I am never been sure why it dose it.I play a bunch of the facebook games. The reason for the problems is that facebook's infrastructure was not planning on the huge success of the games and so at times when many are gaming the free games their servers are struggling.

Also to note that some of the games are working beta's with bugs.

I had some issues for EXAMPLE with Castle Age and was able to solve the majority of the issues ( load times ) by installing a Squid Proxy Server for FREE on my home network and sending my systems through the Web Cache Proxy.

BTW: If anyone wants to add me to their Castle Age Army let me know. I have 8 in my army and need another 4 people to do some quests with requirement of 12 Army members in game friend list.

Tried uninstalling FSX USING controlpanel/AddInstall...BIG mistake!! I think

Using Dell XPS600, Intel Pentium D CPU 3ghz, 2 gb ram, Windows XP SP3, 232 gb hard drive, NVidia.
Was having a problem with FSX LOCKING up after installing Acceleration pack. Decided to uninstall everything, including a resident add on from Nemeth Design CH-53E helicopter. It did not uninstall everything. I've tried System Restore, which put some files back but not everything. When I try to start FSX it says...
"Dem4km.bgl file missing. Please REINSTALL." I tried to reinstall and got this error message...
"Patch package could not be opened. Verify patch package exists and you can access it." It SIGNS as "D:\MFS X.msi"

Can anyone help with this? I've tried going through the program files / msgames / but the "uninstall" file is gone.

Star Wars Rebellion is a old game with the same concept of Empire at War, taking the galaxy. But without land battles and poor graphics. Rebellion however had a much broad range game play features, like orbital BOMBARDMENT from a fleet.I was a huge fan of Rebellion back in the day and I also play EaW quite a bit still now. Essentially, EaW is a remake of Rebellion with a lot of added features like better graphics, ground battles, improved SPACE battles, etc. but they removed a lot of very cool features that Rebellion had, like bombardments, planetary siding based on player actions (like blowing up a planet with the Death Star would often result in planets hating the Empire and siding with the Rebellion), and more special characters like:

• Bevel Lemelisk (superweapon designer who creates the Death Stars among other things, not mentioned until expansion)
• Crix Madine (Imperial Officer who defected to the Alliance, also appears in Return of the Jedi and Dark Forces and several novels)
• Moff Tiaan Jerjerrod (from The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and numerous Star Wars novels, oversaw constuction of Death Star II)
• Admiral Kendal Ozzel (executed by Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back, replaced by then Captain Firmus Piett)
• Commander Wedge Antilles (only X-Wing pilot to survive the attacks on both Death Stars, appears in EaW expansion though)
• Yoda (don't know why they left him out of the first game, added to expansion)
• Lando Calrissian (again, NEEDS no explanation, but was oddly left out of EaW and the expansion)

I wanna put the game ONTO my 180 GB Portable Harddrive.. as in.. not installed game but the game files.. like could i go to My computer > explore the cd > den copy all the files onto the harddrive and wuld the installer now be on the harddrive??? SOrry if you cant understandYes, the installer would be on the HARD drive if you copied the entire disc, but you would still need the disc in the DVD drive to play the game. I'm playing Need For Speed Most Wanted and now i'm at blacklist 3. While the game going on and the cops are after me, my heat level is going high, so is there any way to reduce the heat level in the game ? So that I can freely roam the STREETS......I haven't PLAYED this for a while but...

Buy a new car...drive with that for a while.

I think there is an option to PAY money to lower it in the garage.

Ofcourse one THING you told is correct, buying a new car will start the heat level from lower ( 1x)

Does anyone remember the cheat code for Super C that gave you 100 men? I know I used to use it when I was a KID but I cant remember the exact combination of buttons. So... That's the problem. I don't know anything about memory and RAM except that you stick them in the computer. I ran GoW (version 1) on my computer and all was fine.Because of my home-studio I DECIDED to re-format my entire hard-drive.Now when I try to re-install GoW it won`t run and gives a error.I thought it must be a security mesure and I tried everything I could think of.
I tried to get help from the manufacturer but that did not work.I think the game is "to OLD" to PROVIDE help.

Problem...during 1st title racing in mission where to defeat the racing nazi dierker? i simply fail every try in passing or gaining of this nazi fella, is this a bug? i cant find any other patch? i do not own the game myself, i leant this game from the library, I use windows 7 as you can see, but why cant i finish this level? seems like the nazi dude uses a faster car, even when i am in position 2 where i outraced every other car I have 2 weeks , after that TIME i have to bring the game back to the library, i tried over and over but the nazi guy always wins the race after 3 laps. Obtained a patched style disk for RON(Rise of Nations)

The game works except for no sound.

When i boot up my computer, all my USUAL sounds work(i.e.-my music files, other games, blah blah blah)

When i run RON the game has no sound, AND EVERY "SCENE PAGE" on the cinematics for the game cause that little pop of a speaker sound.

o.k, so i back out of the game, and now my pc(music files, other games, all that crap) dosen't have sound. So i have to REBOOT my comp. then if i try all the stuff mentioned above, it does the same stuff.

Is there any way to go into the game files of RON and adjust some type of sound option, or anything to that nature?

p.s.- I have gone into the sound options IN THE GAME, but didn't HELP anything(of course)

bought a NHRA Drag Racing 2 PC /cd-rom disc game, but without user manual on how to set up controls for correct play modes; example: brake,chute, or other CONTROL PLAYER functions. Readme files CAME up short on needed user OPERATIONAL info! Have you tried googling the controls?
You could try googling: "NHRA Drag Racing 2 PC controls"
If that doesn't work video games usually have all the controls listed in their in game menus under a options-controls TAB. Hope I helped

I would be amazed if anyone can figure this out but... I recently (yesterday) installed C&C3 KR and tried playing a skirmish on easy mode. Destroyed all the other CPU players with absolute ease and thought nothing of it. Later I played against medium CPU levels and realised that the game was horrifically easy because the CPU players were not collecting resources properly.

For those that don't know:
- The only resource is Tiberium.
- It grows in fields around the map.
- Harvester vehicles collect and RETURN Tiberium to refineries for processing into credits

Now I noticed that firstly, CPU players would only build 1 refinery.
[It's normal to build multiples. In fact under normal circumstances the AI sometimes gets stuck building hundreds]

Secondly, CPU players don't seek out new Tiberium fields.
[CPU players are supposed to expand their income by establishing refineries near to fresh Tiberium fields]

Thirdly, basic harvester AI is not working correctly. Once a Tiberium field is depleted the harvesters will not move on to the next nearest field. This affects AI and me!
[Since the first C&C harvesters have had basic AI telling them that once a Tiberium field is depleated they should scan a preset distance to find the nearest viable field of Tiberium]

This only occurred after I upgraded from Vista (clean install of Win7 so it's not that) and I've always run the latest version of the game. I just inherited an original Play Station console with a whole bunch of games.

I used ePSXe before but I had to download the bios plug-in for it, which I guess is illegal, maybe someone can give me more info. on that.. Anyway, I'm now in a position to dump the image into my own file and use ePSXe legally now...

Games I have are: Medal Of Honor, Beyond the Beyond, Syphon Filter, Mission Impossible, Road Rash, Allied General, Agile Warrior FIIIX, Gunship, WCW/NWO Thunder, ESPN 2 Extreme Games, TOP GUN FIRE at Will!, NFL Game DAY, Descent, Star Wars Demolition, 007 Tomorrow Never Dies, and Final Fantasy 8 MINUS one disc

wen i walk AROUND in the came the map wont update. is there a setting to turn it on?Did the game say that you like DISCOVERED a new place?no but wen i travel it tells me the NAME of the cities/areasCan The Map Be Updated (Means Is There ? An Update Available)
