any one play this game?
i played number two very BRIEFLY if that COUNTS Never played it, never heard of it....Never heard of it either... so........ what is it? it's a third person RPG/Action ADVENTURE sort of thingo where you walk AROUND with a freaky looking dude and talk to necromancers etc...OH ok, sounds almost like Guild Wars.Heard of it, but never played it.

I got NR2003 for desktop of course and I just got the NEW patch b/c i want to PLAY it online with others. Now, the Track is fine and the game RUNS PRETTY smooth. the only problem is that the cars themselves are messed up. You cant tell which car is which and its like they are all diff COLORS. Whats the problem?not sure did you break down and buy the game ?

I ve downloaded The sims Deluxe EDITION onto my computer and tried to run it.
it does all the bit with the MUSIC and the words running across the bottom of the screen and instead of at the end loading up the screen with all houses on it it just CLOSES down.

i was wondering what to do.

I installed a Belkin wireless that was installed in my sons computer and worked perfectly for him. Now that I am using wireless I log on onto my all time favorite game and I get all the way to my character and when I try to to take three steps or EVEN MOVE my character at all it freezes. I have tried and updated all my drivers and even updated the firmware to the wireless and still can not play the game. Any suggestions appreciated.I have just finshed download this game and it WONT load after the UPDATES , i dont get any error message or anything to say why it wont load

Ok i aint GOT a clue as 2 what game this is , maybe it would be a good idea as to explain what its all about It would take too long to go into any sort of detail about the game, but a general description (as provided by a quick google search because I'm too lazy to type myself, heh):

Ok i will take a look and i may sigh up...... I love games like that , at 1st there a bit dull but they get intresting You can get a 2 week trial account when you download the EVE client from their site.

After that it's a low monthly cost (lower if you sign up for 3 months/6months/a year)

I didn't realize that they changed the name to UT3 from UT2007. Regardless, it shall be a very NICE game and I can't wait :-)I wouldn't mind cracking off some headshots in the new UT I have been waiting for this game for a long time. The Sims 2 SEASONS On Xbox 360 the game will be called UT3, I BELIEVE (at least, that's what they're advertising it as on the posters I've seen).

Alright, here is the deal.

A few weeks ago, everything was fine and dandy and all of a sudden, when i WOULD get into guild wars login screen, it woudn't let me type the letters "C" or "R". witch borth are in my username and password. So I tryed to reinstall it witch normally it works after. But it doesnt' instead it won't even let me download it now.

I got so fed up with this problem, so I called some one to fix it. It did the trick! All he did was "Update my regestery" on my mcafee profile or something like that, then he RAN a full sweep on my computer. (useing mcafee) Then i tried to install it again after he left and it was done sweeping. Sucess! I was up and playing for the rest of the night.

Hold on, the story doesn't end there, About two weeks or so later....

For no REASON the problem comes back with a vengance! I didn't uninstall it this time, instead i tryed to "Fix Installation" fromt eh screen that pops up when you insert the guild wars prophecies disc (#1). This time the problem is a bit DIFFERENT. Now instead of not being able to type "R" or "C" i cannot type a majority of my keyboard now. At least 70% of all my keys are unusable. And before he came to fix it my mouse was blinking like crazy, and when i wasn't moving it the mouse would dissapear completely.When ever i try to minimize the program or "Restore Down" the window and error comes up asking me if i want to send a report to A-Net. It doesn't really make a differece if you do or not, they don't help anyways. And I have looked all over guildwarsguru.com and guild wiki, looking for solutions to this error and both of them had everything but the error i was looking for

When i am brousing the web the advertisments flash/blink rapidly, witch they have NEVER done before. I was on guildwarsguru.com and i posted about this problem there too. Some one suggested that it was a dust problem, so i got some compressed air and blew the heck out of it. Dust was flying every where. But it still didn't fix the problem, even though performance is a little faster.

But it had been working fine for such a long time, when i played it for the two weeks when it recently worked i checked my "Age" on guild wars and it said that i have been playing if for about 22-23 months now. Sure i would alwasy have lag, some times worse that others, but it still let me run it.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions, I will be sure to try them all. Do the keys work for other applications? Have you made any kind of hardware or software changes recently?

I recently bought area 51. The game plays fine until some glass breaks or there is a water cooler. the image of the glass or object copies and smears itself over the SCREEN when i move the character. Can anyone HELP? btw, the computer matches or exceeds the games specsDid it ever WORK OK?

I'm GOING to the USA in the autumn. Would it be possible to buy a Wii and DS Lite there and to use them in the UK? What additional items would I need to pay for?Are the power OUTLETS different from the US and UK? I've never been to the UK before but I have been out of the COUNTRY where the outlet plugs were different, if that's the case, MAYBE just an adapter for those. What other kinds of differences are there between the two places? the games will be different in terms of NTSC and PAL won't they? if so, that might be a bit of a problem...You can do this, but the above statements are correct. USA and UK have different power outlets as well as different gaming formats. You would need a plug/outlet adapter...if they're even available. You will also likely need mod chips (not sure about the DS, but this probably applies to Wii) if you WANT to play UK games. You'd be better off buying at home.

Thats a list of most of the platforms i can think of to date...once you have choosen a platform , next you may want the feature to play the game online , have you ever noticed a sigh in a game saying . NOTE: GAME EXPREINCE MAY CHANGE ONLINE will to be frank it does , gameing online can sometimes offer more options in the game itself sometimes more UNLOCKS......and and get a major buzz from teamwork on teamplay options within game settings playing online can really boast your gaming options and the game wont sit in the rack all dusty

Age rating

Once you have choosen the listen above you next want to choose the age rating now , depending if your buying the game for someone thats of a young age you will notice movie type certificates located on the bottom right of the game . 12 15 18+..... if your kid is nagging on and on about a game he really wants but it is 18 plus i would recommend not getting it due to the realism to todays gaming your children could find some of it scary or worse yet amuseing so its best to keep to the age rateing....

Mutliplayer options:

With this option it allows you to deside whether the game your playing can be played with more than one person , sometimes some games are mainly made for this option if you do deside on a multi-player game be sure it has a good overall rateing buy the official magzine of your console , buying these magazines can sometimes help in the buying process as they offer some very good constructive criticism and you wont be under pressure from the games sales men when all they seem to say is YH ITS GREAT I HAVE A COPY MYSELF so dont be fooled people...

My computer used to run games fine but then one day they would start up and then minimize, whenever i click on the minimized window a black screen APPEARS and minimizes again. I'm on my COUSINS computer so downloading new dirvers and *censored* won't do since this isn't my computer. Anyways, I installed this game without any problems, and when I try to run it, a black screen appears then it takes me back to my desktop with this error: Failed to read the shader CACHE file. Hello, new to these forums. i am a part of the Flight Sim community and have come here because it seems you guys know what you guys are talking about

Ok, so im am a hard core Flight Simmer..... I have many programs i have purchased to help make the experience more realistic... i run a soft ware aircraft called Level-D, it is a 767-300ER, it takes alot of system resources to generate, i also run an online Module in the game to help connect to the online community called VATSIM..... however, ive been having a constant problem....usually my computer is absolutely fine.... i get 60-70 FPS (which is great for the plane i fly) and great runtime..... however after about 2-3 maybe 4 hours of a flight, the computer has this weird "Hickup".... the bottom of the SCREEN freezes... its about 1 Centimeter tall and spans the entire length of the screen....... Picture Below:



As you can see at the bottom of the screen, there is a STUCK BAR, no shortly after this photo was take, as allways, the computer locked up, i tried to click the "Close" Button at the top of the screen..... it just does the old windows "Beep". so i immediately minimize it to avoid having to completely reset the computer...... i try to close it by right clicking on the icon below, so if im lucky, it will close....... and thats it, i need to restart the computer, and then it will WORK for another 2-3 maybe 4 hours......

i run DUAL monitors....

NEVER Freezes when on desktop or on single player (not online)

Only freezes when running Squawk Box 3

When flying, i usually have 400,000 Available Memory of my Physical Memory

My PF Usage usually isnt an issue, stays within 600-850

Fixes:

Drivers for my Motherboard and Video card, would that be a good try

Get another GB of memory to add to my current 1 GB

Download, unzip, and burn this to a CD, using the "image burn" or "burn saved project" or similar option in your burning software.
Put it in your PC's CD drive and boot from it, run the test for a few hours and make sure there are no errors.

Also, update your graphics drivers by following this page of a guide to first do a complete uninstall and then a fresh install of your drivers.

I'm not sure that this is the correct location for this question however, please re-route me if I'm in the wrong location.

At work an email was sent with a listing of about 28 names. My name is listed as the first name because of the alphabetical order that these show in.

Someone that was not on the address list received this email showing that I had forwarded it to him. This I did not do! I have no IDEA how it would be possible for this forward action to show my name as the party sending this forward to another person.

Someone told me that this can happen indicating that the issue may STEM from my name being at the top of the list thus an error in the forwarding script may cause this. Is this at all possible?

If you know of a SITE that I can ask this question to and get a fairly GOOD response in regards if this is possible I would GREATLY appreciate it.

I just installed Battlefield 1942 yay, i thought, it would run smoothly and i would be filling people online now full of lead, or the other way around, either way once i started it i noticed something wrong, some of the buttons were missing including the crosshair. Any ideas? Oh yeah, im running on an Intel GMA 950(I THINK, i kinda forgot how to check) basicly, a piece of crap that works for most games. And im not a super tech nerd/geek so lol dont bring anything up that will be hard to understand, including drivers, lol those i just need some help with considering i couldnt find any updates and i have no idea what driver i have.

NOTE: i have figured out how to get drivers and i have gotten new drivers but still no crosshair or buttons, EXCEPT when im engineer class and use the engineer rifle.well, intel's graphics ACCELERATOR is crap for playing games. that is a fact.


well i SUGGEST you can try updating game to latest version through EA's patches if you did not already do that or you can get yourself a new graphics card to replace the intel one.Intel's graphics can usually handle games that are this old and if it worked before it should work again. This is usually a problem that people have when they try to play BF1942 on Windows Vista (I had this problem). Do you have it? When you updated the drivers did you just install the new ones or did you remove the old ones first? ALSO, make sure you have the latest patch for Battlefield:

I recently purchased a new desktop (DUAL core 2.13GHz, 2GB RAM, NVIDIA 8500GT) and whenever I play games such as Bioshock and Half Life 2 everything runs smoothly for about 10 minutes before it slows down big time and I have to restart the game to make it PLAYABLE once again. I've played around with the texture detail and resolution which doesn't seem to fix the problem. Any help?How good is the cooling in your computer? It might be overheating.

2- Check they don’t stop all together
3- Check for Blockage
4- Does this happen when PLAYING older games

yeah i think you may be right there. i doubt there's anything wrong with the fans themselves but the cavity in my DESK where my computer sits GETS pretty hot sometimes. i'll try taking it out and see if that fixes the problem. thanks a lot for your help guys.Opening one side of the case helps a lot as well.

i'm not a gamer, just curious. Why do you need an 80 gig instead of a 60 gig. Do you ACTUALLY store online games on the PS or xbox??Yes, the new consoles actually store large files on their hard drives now. Because I've been out of the GAMING loop for AWHILE, I don't know all of the practical uses, but I know that you can use it to store MUSIC, demos, expansions, and other related downloads.

Just wondering if there are any really good games that anyone would recommend? I've obv. heard of the most POPULAR ones, but I'm brand new to PC gaming. My fav. XBOX 360 game is Elder Scrol 4: OBLIVION, so if you know any games that are on par with that...?So you are an RPG fan? Well there are a MULTITUDE of games out there. You could try World of Warcraft, if you want to pay a monthly fee to play. You could try Guild Wars, which doesn't have a monthly fee. There are also a couple of Final Fantasy games.

There are lots of good games within every topic. I personally like strategy games. I also like games based that have fantasy characters or historical characters that have good GAMEPLAY or storylines.

Or do you like MMO's, online multiplayer games like WoW?Well if your into the RPG area then I would certainly recommend anything produced by bioware / black isle - with the exception of neverwinter nights - the single player aspect is a little lacking in quality. Titles would be the Baldurs gate series (availble now in a single pack) and older title, but with about the best story ever written for the PC and a very interactive world - though its old now it is a true classic.Battlefield 2142

Halo 3 is a great game for the 360 but you might not understand it if you haven't played the whole series.I think Dreamfall: The Longest Journey is a great game. It is an sciens fiction/fantasy adventure game. It is not recomended if you want intensive action. But if you want a good story with deep characters its perfect. And since it is about one year old and did not sell as well as it deserves, it´s not expensive at all.

Okay, I heard a rumor that in halo 3 you can finally FLY pelicans. But I bought the game and COMPLETED the whole thing but I still can't find out how to fly a pelican. and I tried installing my Collectors edition trilogy ultimate doom and it said it was corrupt or missing some exe or setup file. Now I can install it on a computer with windows xp and it works fine is there a secret to it or is there some PATCH I need?

BeeThere must be a patch required try looking for it on google, or pehaps go onto the Doom web SITE it self.... I have encountered install problems with vista - have you tried running the setup.exe from the disk direct and not USING the AUTORUN link?Some games wont work on vista.pfff... i have vista home, none of my games are compatable with it, i will be sticking with XP on my other computers for now Doom 3

All these games work superbly on Vista Home Premium 32bit. With the latest patches/drivers. I would assume most games with a (vista) patch should work. Given you have decent hardware.wait a minute ... if you are one windows vista ...

windows will try to RUN program as if you are on xp. it worked for some programs for me that do not work on vista itself.

im useing Windows 98 Well if restarting the COMPUTER and then the game does not solve this then I would consider going into the game folder, copying the SAVES and uninstall/install.
I have seen similar when you leave the game running and the screen saver pops up, but that is solved by restarting the game (and in some cases the computer)

Just curious if anyone on the forums have been LUCKY enough to be accepted to the Warhammer ONLINE beta. I've been APPLIED since May but unfortunately have not yet been accepted.

You can't recover it from the disc because the key isn't stored on it.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could recomend what the best computer game for someone like me WOULD be. Previously I enjoyed the Sims and Ultima Online because what I really liked was the designing of the characters and making and decorating homes and ensembles etc.
These games however only went so far in these departments.
I was wondering if anyone could recomend an interactive game where you have a VAST vast range of choices for designing your characters facial features, fashionable outfits etc. and can change your hair color, outfits etc to suit your mood or the current seasonal trends. I don't like games like Zwinky because there's nothing beyond choosing a few outfits etc and your face stays the same and there's no actual game involved like interacting, fighting, making gold etc.
This is probably a strange question but any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm just an online gal who likes to express myself through online FASHION and style and interior design.

Um, yeah that Spore game looks really fascinating, I don't know if it's exactly what I'm looking for. I really want like options for my character to have long hair, or a short pixie cut. Make her hair pink or blue or blonde and wear couture gowns one day and a mini skirt and warrior bra the next day and get a home and choose like WALL color and furniture and lay out and style of home etc. That game looks awesome though, just not "fashion" oriented enough for me. i guess... in graphics we worked on a poster that almost everyone has had done for 2 days, and in MS office we did a computer WORKSHEET about how to min/max/resize/close windows. it was very GAY and extremely simple. then i went to lib to type report got done and got on CH. went HOME and got back on... which brings me to now... so back to ds/psp lol. old discussion. ds is cool but the psp has great features. i like it cause it makes my friends jealous, kinda. my friend picked the ipod nano over a psp lol. i was like psp sooo much better cause it has vids PICS, and web and he was like, its too big for my pocket. lolYawns.....

wer i can download ISO files?SORRY, but it is illegal to download .iso files of games you do not own. If you like, you can MAKE ISOs of games you ALREADY have on CD with LCISOCreator and run them on a CD Emulator like Dameon Tools.

I recently bought a new laptop, along with several games.
My laptop spec is:
- 512MB RAM
- Intel 943GML (Calistoga) + ICH7-M with up to 128MB shared memory - supports Intel GMA 950
- 80GB S-ATA HDD
- DVD +/-RW DL
- Windows Vista Basic
The games are:-
- Command & Conquer Generals ( Which does not say on the back that it runs on Vista)
- SimCity4 Deluxe Edition (Which also does not say on the back that it runs on Vista, but I have been informed that it should do so easily)
- X3: Reunion (including BALA GI's RESEARCH expansion and 2007 BONUS PACK)
My problem is with the games Command and Conquer Generals, SimCity 4 and X3: Reunion. I have bought and succesfully installed one of my games (Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind and both extra expansion packs) with no problems whatsoever. The problem with both SimCity 4 and C&C occurs after installation (which happens without a hitch). As soon as I go to play the game, A BLUE screen with white writing appears (I am not very skilled with computers, but it appears to be like a sort of MS DOS screen), but unfortunately it appears too quickly to read the contents of the page.

After this occurs, my computer automatically restarts. After this, the game does not appear again, and upon further trying, does the exact same thing again and again. I THOUGH that I might get around the problem by setting the properties of both to an earlier version of windows (such as 2000 or XP; help gained from Windows HELP) but both ran on with the same problem. I have tried running the computer with no starting programs running, and even in SAFE MODE, but still no change occured.

The problem with X3 occurs also after installation. The game starts fine, but when I select a new game, the computer takes a long while before it loads. during the load (which lasted around 10-15 mins) my screensaver came up, and interfered with the graphics. Eventually, the new game began, but the screensaver still further intercated and stuttered the gameplay. After a long period of frusration, I eventually was forced to pull the battery pack from behind the laptop, as all attempts to exit (incl. CTRL + ALT + DEL) would not work.

Any help, or ideas, as to the problem with the games would be helpful, and any feedback would be greatly appreciated . Any further information needed to remedy the problem will be given.

I USE XP, so I wasn't familiar with this problem. I looked online and it seems that most problems are fixed by updating your graphics drivers. Naturally, on a laptop you have onboard video (no video card), so it's important to get drivers for the RIGHT onboard "card".

What make and model is your laptop? (For example, Dell Dimension E520 is a type of desktop.)

Internet GAMING sites across the Web cheered news last week of a new "Star Wars" game for the HIT Wii console in which players will wield the Jedi weapon of choice using Nintendo's motion sensitive "Wiimote" controller.

Ok, I'm an avid gamer, and there's nothing I hate more than buying a game, or even recieving it as a gift (on any console), that is sub-standard. So, here are......

Dark Blade's Golden Rules for Buying Games1. Never buy games which were created for a movie. These games are only there to gain more money, and are promoted and bought because of the movie. Now, there may be some good games coming out of movies, but most are pathetic (i.e. E.T....... you know what I mean)

2. Don't buy games which only include a one/two line blurb on the back, and it is repeated in multiple languages. I find these games to be RUSHED, and are usually sequels to other games, and the developers except the game to be as good as some of the previous games in the series.

3. Do not buy games which are commercialized. By that, I mean games made from TV shows, toy, etc. These games are not likely to have a good storyline, and, as with Rule 1, are advertised in conjuction to the TV show/toy so that the game will be all hyped up. If designers want us to play something, they could at least be as imaginative to create a new and unexplored story....

Mario Kart is fun for a while (i.e. before you beat every Cup), but you only get a real buzz if you play multiplayer with OTHERS. Metroid Prime Hunters has a great single-player mode, and multiplayer is quite fun as well. What's better is that you can play multiplayer against computers in Metroid Prime that may actually give you a run for your money. Also, single-player mode can keep you going for ages, trying to scan everything possible.

Then again, this all just depends on what genre you like.ok, THX, will prob. get MP:H. one last thing : how hard are the CONTROLS on MP:H?OH, the controls take a while to get used to, but once you pass the learning curve, you'll have no problem.

How can U SWITCH it from SFTP to FTP when DOWNLOADING a game?

I have this game called 18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the METAL. It lags when it works on both cores but when I force it to run on one core by right-clicking its process in task manager, going to SET affinity and unchecking CPU 1 I get a significant increase in FPS. The thing is, It's very annoying having to do this every time I launch the game because the game wont let me alt-tab to the DESKTOP and it takes a while to get task manager up. Is there a way to MAKE this game run only on CPU 0 every time I launch it?

I was playing online and decided to take a break. When i went back into the server lobby, there were no servers!? I've tried to Quit and restart the game, but STILL no servers. I'm sure this is a problem with my computer or maybe a connection issue, but its never happened before. I know its not a FIREWALL issue because i've already set GRAW2 as an exception in my virus and spyware programs. Any IDEA's?YEAH, the server was down dummy.
