Solve : ASUS Laptop not loading windows? |
|
Answer» I have a 3 year old ASUS X5DIJ series laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit sp1 (upgraded from vista equivalent). it runs IE 9 Norton 360 5.0 and has AOL 9.6 internet software installed. Do you mean you hear a clicking sound from the laptop when these freezes happen? This is often a sign of a failed hard disk. (The "click of death") Yes the clicking started and the PC froze up. Could work again fine afterwards but not this time around. As Salmon Trout said, one would assume the clicking is coming from the hard drive. It has likely failed. Sometimes they'll work for a bit after the clicking starts, then fail completely. This sounds like what you're describing. If the clicking is from the hard drive, it has failed. So if the HDD has failed, i guess the only options would be to either replace the PC or the HDD. How easy would it be to replace the HDD and reload windows? As far as i can work out its a SATA type drive, 500GB. Seems a shame to chuck the whole machine if its just the HDD thats failed. The rest of the machine seems fine. Thanks againWell, a quick Google shows used ones on Ebay for around $200. A 500 GB SATA drive for a laptop costs around $80. They are easy enough to fit, and if you have proper install disks you can reinstall Windows. Whether you want to rescue this machine or get a new one is your decision. Thanks. Been looking at new HDDs. Not sure which make to go for. Any recomendations. Been on amazon and Toshiba HDDs have good reveiws. So it should be fairly easy to load windows onto a new drive then? I have a manufacturers (asus) windows 7 upgrade disc as well as home produced recovery discs. I am guessing the Asus supplied windows disc will do the job?Quote from: richardf77 on June 14, 2012, 02:13:52 AM Thanks. Been looking at new HDDs. Not sure which make to go for. Any recomendations. Been on amazon and Toshiba HDDs have good reveiws. An upgrade disk? Upgrade from what? To what? An upgrade disk generally will only work if it finds a qualifying product, for example a Windows 7 upgrade disk will look for a previous install of say Vista or XP. Not just that but there are "upgrade paths" so you cannot upgrade a Vista Home Basic install to Windows 7 Professional. If you have a blank disk it will ask for a qualifying product install disk. So what are these home produced recovery disks? Do they contain a system image (Windows 7 or what?) or do they work with a recovery partition (which won't be there anymore if you use a new disk). To 'salmon Trout' Sorry i should have been more clear. The laptop originally came loaded with Vista but as this was just before 7 came out got a free upgrade to 7 later on. This is the 'upgrade disc' i referred to above. Looking at it again i am not so sure it is what i need to load 7 onto a new HDD, although when the OS got corrupted by virus last year and i used the disc to restore the OS, i recall clearly being given the option of recovering the existing installation or reformatting the drive and installing a fresh copy of 7 on the machine. I think this is what i was hoping would allow me to use it to install 7 on a new HDD. I also have 3 sets of home made system recovery/system image discs. One for the original Vista OS, one for & made when i upgraded to 7 and a third made when i had to reload/recover the OS last year. I think these also allow for reformatting and fresh installation as well as reload/recovery of existing installation. If direct installation of 7 to a new hdd fails then might it be possible to go back and 'restore' vista to a new hdd and then upgrade to 7 as if it were the old hdd? In effect 'copying' the original HDD? I hope this makes sense. Still not quite 100% with the right terminology.Quote from: richardf77 on June 14, 2012, 09:03:32 AM when the OS got corrupted by virus last year and i used the disc to restore the OS, i recall clearly being given the option of recovering the existing installation or reformatting the drive and installing a fresh copy of 7 on the machine. I believe it offered you the choice of installing a fresh copy of Windows 7 because it found a qualifying product (Windows 7 itself or Vista). This would not be present on a new (blank) hard drive. However it would not hurt to try this first. Quote If direct installation of 7 to a new hdd fails then might it be possible to go back and 'restore' vista to a new hdd and then upgrade to 7 as if it were the old hdd? In effect 'copying' the original HDD? I rather think this is the likeliest outcome. However try the recovery disk sets in reverse time order, i.e. the most recent one first, as it sounds as the 2 most recent ones may restore W7, and use the original Vista one as a last resort if the others don't work. Then you would apply the Windows 7 upgrade. Quote I hope this makes sense. Still not quite 100% with the right terminology. It makes perfect sense. Your grasp of the terminology SOUNDA absolutely fine to me. Quote I am suspecting hard disc failure/problemI wonder if you have confirmed this by connecting the hard drive to another computer using a USB to IDE/SATA enclosure? Just to make sure the blackscreen are related or not.Quote from: jason2074 on June 14, 2012, 11:07:18 PM I wonder if you have confirmed this by connecting the hard drive to another computer using a USB to IDE/SATA enclosure? Just to make sure the blackscreen are related or not. No i havent as i dont have the required enclosure/connections. I am guessing what i would need is a standard case used to turn an internal HDD into an external HDD?Just wanted to give an update on the problem. Havent done much about it SINCE last posting but have recently got back to it again. Current Situation; HDD aparently bust, recovery options no go. Bootable discs including manufacturer, home made recovery and a LINUX OS boot disc will not boot up the machine. Suspecting some other fault (with Optical Drive?). Started looking into narrowing down the problems. Wanted to try in turn HDD and optical drives from another machine but both were incompatible. Thought about External Optical drives, either convering one from another machine or getting a ready made one. Got confused as to what to get so set aside idea for now. I then remembered that Linux OS downloads could be installed on a USB stick drive and used to boot a PC. This would bypass the OD and get the machine booted. This i have done and it worked A1. The machine worked well booted from the stick and i was able to access the PC's HDD contents with no problem at all, so can easily recover the files at least. This has left me confused though. If the HDD is kaput, how come i can access the files on it using USB booted Ubuntu OS? Does this mean the problem is not a HDD failure? What about the optical drive, does this test prove that is bust or again some other problem? Could the fault be software and not hardware? Dont know what to do now. Should i try installing Ubuntu to the HDD and see what happens? Is there any WAY i can try to boot/reload windows without using the HDD or optical drive? Is it worth trying the drives (as external devices) on another machine? Can anyone advise me please? |

Solve : Automatic Minimizing of Game.? |
|
Answer» While playing a GAME on my PC, after around 20-30 seconds time later, the game automatically minimizes, and the desktop appears. What should i do in order to prevent this from happening??? Provide more INFORMATION.....Right-click the games shortcut, and choose the compatibility tab. Check off "Disable Desktop Composition". Give that a try. I had that same problem with almost every single game until I started to change that option.I tried your idea of "Disable Desktop Composition" but yet no difference, still the game automatically minimizes. For Example when i'm playing GTA Vice City on my PC, after around 20-30 second later the game just minimizes and the desktop appears. So what do i NEED to do in order to prevent this from happening??Quote from: ahmedmuhs on July 01, 2012, 06:12:12 AM I tried your idea of "Disable Desktop Composition" but yet no difference, still the game automatically minimizes. Another cause could be malware, or some other background program. My backup program will cause any full-screen program to minimize regardless of the aforementioned setting, for example.Right click the game's shortcut and select properties. Under the shortcut tab make sure the run option is set to Normal window. If that doesn't work, click start and type msconfig into the search box and press ENTER. Click selective startup under the general tab. Click to clear the load startup Items check box. Click the services tab. Click on hide all microsoft services then click disable all then click OK. Restart the computer and try launching your game. Let us know what happens. |

The "Selected items" is just what was highlighted on the image I found on the web. You do not have to choose that one. You choose the thing in the dropdown list that you wish to change. This could be "Icon" or "Menu" or "ToolTip" or whatever. |

Solve : how does mmsys.clp work?? |
|
Answer» So I was going to write a program that lowers the volume of music when it SENSED incoming audio from skype, but then I learned that java doesn't do that. So I was wondering what does. Hate to sound uppity, but obviously some PROGRAMMING language does it, because mmsys.clp (windows sound control panel thingy) has an option for it. what language are the .clp's written in? \ how does it do that? So from the very little I understood of the articles, this is a hardware thing that can't really be altered by programs? It probably can, but you'll have to dig pretty deep into Windows APIs, callbacks, and other 'fun' stuff. |

Solve : toshiba laptop sounds on but isnt? |
|
Answer» A couple weeks ago my computer stopped working. I closed it and when i opened it back up there was a black screen. It sounds like its on and the indicator lights are working. but the screen is black and when i plug it into an external screen like a tv it still does not work. I let it sit for a week or so and i plugged it back in to charge and it turned on. I used it for a couple minutes then closed it again. when i came back, it went back to not working again. Please help. Maybe the GPU CHIPSET is failing due to overheating as this intermittent problem from not booting or blackscreen indicates that its being faulty. The video chip means a motherboard or laptop replacement. If you can do further testing, TRY running a DIAGNOSTIC test for the hard DRIVE and memory modules since most laptop nowadays have these options. |

Solve : Low Vision Aid Windows 7? |

Answer» Ease of access in Windows 7 is very mediocre. The Win 7 magnifier is mice, but not helpful when I do not have the other monitor running. Choose "Window Color" from along the bottom 3. Select "Advanced Appearance Settings". You can change font sizes within this dialog. For example, if you wanted larger icon text, but wanted to leave the icons the same size, you would choose "Icon" from the "Item" combobox; then you can change the font and size. You can do this for quite a number of elements. You can also make caption buttons larger. Just noticed JJ3000 already posted this. Oh well. Also, it blabs about it not working for Aero, but that's a outright lie; most of the settings work for Aero (with only a few exceptions, such as setting the active/inactive title bar colour, for example) Quote from: Geek-9pm on June 22, 2012, 03:57:06 PM The Win 7 magnifier is mice, but not helpful when I do not have the other monitor running. Would be nice if there was a toggle for the magnifier son you could turn it on or off in one keystroke.I have a Microsoft Comfort Optical 3000 mouse which has a small red button on the left side where it can be pressed with the right thumb. Pressing it turns on Magnifier. Pressing it again turns Magnifier off. I imagine some other mice have the feature or have a button which could be programmed to do this. Thanks to all! I didn't know you could do that in Windows 7. Tonight I will TRY the suggestions and report back later. |

Solve : Copy files from one location to another by removing the Date in file name? |

Answer» I need to Copy files from one location to another by removing the Date in file name. i will give the example for what i need exactly. I need to Copy files from one location to another by removing the Date in file name. i will give the example for what i need exactly.Well you could do this two ways. We could assume that your date is always the last 8 characters before the file extension and we could write a batch file to go off of that information. We could also write a batch file based on the fact that you have an underscore before the date. So if that is the only underscore in the file name we could delimit the file name based on that commonality. Thanks for ur reply squashman .. can u give me some syntax or something ... so that i can build tat bat file... Solve : Windows Aero...?? |
|
Answer» Hope I posted this under the right topic : I got a messsage about my PC being slow ; something about windows Aero & changing the color scheme, I think. The message disappeared before I got to read it again. Ok, my pc is slow sometimes, but it's dial-up ! I got a messsage about my pc being slow ; something about windows Aero & changing the color scheme, I think. ... Does this have something to do with the backgrounds I have installed ? They are Windows backgrounds.Yes, it's a sign your computer is not quite capable of constantly running Aero. You can try changing backgrounds but it MIGHT not help since you are using Windows backgrounds, which are probably generally not as tasking as third-party backgrounds downloaded to your computer. So, you might need to keep Aero disabled. I suspect you'll need to UPGRADE the graphics part of your system. Adding RAM might also help. If you tell us more about your computer (make, model, hardware specs), the picture here may become clearer. I have windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit RAM : 2.00GB I had thought third-party backgounds could carry 'bugs' with it. How would I choose 'safe' ones ? As for upgrading graphics, please EXPLAIN ?Windows Aero is the default Windows user interface in Vista and 7. Sometimes you'll get that notice if you have some of your Aero settings too high (Or if Windows thinks you have it too high) and will slow down your computer, because you computer has to "draw" a lot more special effects than the Windows Standard or Windows Classic user interface. As for running slow, there is a difference between your dial up connection, and your computer's processing power. Your dial up connection connects you to the internet, where the speeds you will notice will be how fast a webpage loads, how fast images LOAD, ect ect. Even though your computer's processing power has a say on how fast those pages can load, your dial up connection will dictate most of it. Things where your dial up connection generally doesn't have a say in something (I.E: Browsing files on your computer) will be much faster than browsing the web, because dial up is very slow, but your computer isn't that slow. AS FOR WINDOWS AERO. Sorry, kinda lost track there for a bit. If you do think that your computer is slow, you can use the Windows Classic or Windows Standard interface design which will free up more resources for your computer to use elsewhere. If you want to change it, go to your task bar and click the Start button, go to Control Panel, click "Appearance and Personalization", then you can probably change some things there, but also click "Personalization". I would imagine you can figure out the rest . If this isn't right, sorry. I have Windows Vista, and it's slightly different in Windows 7.Shouldn't have hiccups with 2 G of RAM...something else is wrong...Quote I had thought third-party backgounds could carry 'bugs' with itQuote I got a messsage about my pc being slowPlease clarify this 3rd party and what application created the slow message? What computer model is this computer?Quote from: jason2074 on June 10, 2012, 07:30:34 PM what application created the slow message? 99.99% sure it's just a generic Windows notice message. I've gotten it before, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's the exact same thing this person got. The Message is triggered when VRAM starts to run low.I've read all your answers, & will go from there regarding Windows backgrounds, etc. Thanks ! |

Solve : Duat boot windows 7 and Windows XP? |

Answer» Optionally, you could switch the host controller from AHCI/SATA to IDE/Compatible mode. You might get another idea in this thread as to switching to IDE when installing XP http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/149065-dual-boot-windows-7-xp-installation-problem-2.html as gregrocker gave a link and 2 methods regarding installing AHCI. ok thanks for that last post. At the moment i have deleted the windows 7 partition and installed windows XP 64bit SP2, in IDe mode. Question, am i able to update to SP3? or will that be once again 32 bit? XP x64 doesn't have an SP3.so what will happen if i put in a 32bit SP3 CD? it will update but convert to 32bit?Good afternoon comda and welcome back No matter what your OS is XP, Vista, Windows 7 etc you never want to or force it to use any 32 bit updates / drivers etc when you have a 64 bit OS. But more than likely it will not install because if you used / installed windows XP 64 bit and the update is 32 bit it will stop and not continue. Hope this helps, Mike Quote from: comda on August 28, 2012, 12:20:37 PM so what will happen if i put in a 32bit SP3 CD? it will update but convert to 32bit? It won't work. Windows XP x64 doesn't have an SP3 because Windows XP x64 is not from the XP codebase, and is instead branched off from Windows Server 2003's codebase. (technically, Server 2003 SP1). XP x64 updates are distributed in unified packages with Server 2003 updates. Latest SP for XP x64 (and 2003) is SP2. Features of XP x86's SP2 SERVICE pack were already present in x64's RTM.ok but ill stil be able to run all my programs and games like i did in Win XP pro SP3 32bit right?ok so i ended up installing windows Xp using ide mode and want to convert it to AHCI now. i found this article but not sure where to look for the driver. http://expertester.wordpress.com/2008/07/27/how-to-enable-ahci-windows-xp/ i tried my DVD but it tells me to use a compatible one? any ideas?Quote Asus M5A97SATA - AHCI -> http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=M5A97&p=1&s=24&os=30&hashedid=wlwpxOCHGKQvVRLb Unzip from a created folder then use the EXE file when following the link by navigating or pointing the hardware wizard to the location of the extracted exe file.OK this is where i run into issues. i downloaded this a few times. and the procedure i use is opening devide manager then going into ide atapi controlers and trying to install the driver from there. PLease.Have you tried right cliking the file ans slecting Merge and re-boot ? ? ok i didnt know what to do in the last post or how to get it working so i borrowed a USB floppy drive seems everything works! it found the driver i made a partition then formatted it, however when it tries to install windows after format it says it cannot copy the file ahcix64.inf??? it tells me i can retry but it doesnt even read the drive? am i doing something wrong? and if i fit skip file it gave me BSOD cause it doesnt see the drive without the driver.Might wanna install again Win XP and this time use the F6 floppy disk option during reinstall.ok did i not SAY it clearly? i am using the USB floppy, i did hit F6 upon startup of the windows setup. i select my driver from the Floppy, i then PROCEED with formatting my drive and then when it wants to copy files it gives me the error saying this exactly: Setup cannon copy the file: ahcix64.inf -to retry press ENTER. if you are installing from a CD, make sure the Windows Cd is in the CD-rom drive. -to skip this file, press ESC. Caution: if you skip this file, setup may not complete and windows may not work properly. -to quit setup, press F3 " thats what i get. what am i doing wrong? the Drive is set to Ahci and the CD ROm is set to ide mode. |

Solve : Booting new Netbook?? |
|
Answer» (I'm not sure if this is the FORUM that this question fits in, please MOVE it if it isn't.) Can we assume that this is not a new machine? It's a 722. (Is that the model #?) Oh, and Inspire is a typo, FIXING thatOn most machines you would change the boot order in the BIOS, although, if it can't find the 1st boot (network), it should look for others. It's possible the the required boot partitions have been deleted by the previous owner. Your netbook: http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=3658 There is a Firmware PATCH (dated 5/15/12), listed under Patches, not BIOS. Doesn't say what it patches. Probably best to contact Acer. |

Solve : Samsung laptop only boots to Vista when disc is in the drive.? |
|
Answer» Hi all, 3 HDD's...probably part of the issue here...It's a laptop, only 1 drive installed at a time.Commando, Surely using 3 different HDD'S & different recovery media will rule out any problem with the BCD and/or recovery partition? but just to test the theory, i had already used Easy BCD, made no difference. It's last chance saloon for this machine today, spent 4 days on it now and got nowhere. I am suspecting some kind of MB fault, just never seen anything like this before. and Patio, Commando is right, it's a laptop so only ever ONE drive fitted at any one time. If you haven't already done so, I would flash the BIOS with the latest version; 08VA, 5 Jan, 2010 http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/NP-R505-FA02UK-downloads If you have, then try removing or disconnecting the CD drive. Already updated BIOS to 08VA, and tried booting with DVD drive removed. I've decided 4 days is enough and I'm giving up on it. Have come to the conclusion that there is some wierd kind of MB fault, so am giving it back to customer. I'll give them the option that they can use it perfectly fine if they don't mind leaving the disc in the drive when booting. Thanks for all your contributions and suggestions guys, and if anyone ever comes across a similar thing and finds a solution, please let me know just so I know what it was that beat me You are stating that the Vista Repair Install did not work ??Yes I am, Vista Install repair failed, as did Win 7 when i installed that.Hi Mate, Did you manage to get this problem sorted ? Cheers Mike. |

Solve : Driver Backup? |
|
Answer» Does anyone know if Win 7 will back up ones drivers please? I know there are gizmo's out there that will install and backup. Problem is you need to use the same gizmo everyti me. Which is ok if you stick to one gizmo. I don't think I've seen anyone use the word gizmo in three consecutive sentences. I am not a lover of using the web to store mate. I would much rather store on my external hard drive. Is this the only way to backup drivers outside the various programs that are about bud? Windows system restore is just what the name implies it is a tool (local tool / built into the OS) it allows you to restore your PC back to created restore points / older dates before major changes were made to the PC. So if something goes wrong you can roll the PC back in time. To help you about system restore here is a link to MS http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/system-restore Some PC manufactures will have a folder on the C drive that will contain PC drivers but I don't know what model PC you have so I REALLY can't tell you what it may be called. If you find that folder than you can save that folder if that is what you are talking about " Is this the only way to backup drivers outside the various programs that are about bud?" Hope this helps you, Mike C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore\rstrui.exe Copy the Driver installation files to a external drive. Now you've successfully backed them up. yay.Well I do 'do' a system restore point quite frequently here, and I am pleased to say it has often been a great help to me. However, there have been occasions when the darned thing has refused, or said that it failed to do the restoration, which has left me not trusting it 100% i'm afraid guys! Talking about this backing up and restoring divers. I would be interested to know if any of you guys have found a reliable gizmo? I use DriverMax myself .. the free version. I have tried one or two others but can't say that they impress me much. DriverMax doesn't but it delivers the goods albeit after a little time. Quote from: GLOOPS on August 27, 2012, 05:17:16 AM restoring divers Artificial respiration can work if they have not actually drowned. but you need as much space for the backup as for the original right? So when my drive is nearly full, it doenst work?Good morning Paci and welcome to CH In the future if you have a suggestion / idea please CONTRIBUTE (just not in the AV / Malware section). But if you need to ask a question please do so by starting your own thread. This way it is much easier to keep track of and will not be confusing to anyone on the forum. Thank you and once again welcome to CH Mike |

Solve : Not sure what my problem is with my computer? |

Answer» 2.system restore I don't have a dell service tagEvery Dell has a Service Tag. On the label on the bottom. Start reading on P. 265 http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xlob/dtg/en/en_dtg.pdfsorry the service tag number is 5wkmdl1This is your Dell Laptop: http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/Index?servicetag=5wkmdl1 Just had it's 2 year birthday on 7/13/2010Is this a WEB site I need to go to to fix my computer. You will have to do some homework, can't do it for you from here. Start reading on p.265 - Restoring Your Operating System http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xlob/dtg/en/en_dtg.pdfok Thanks for your helpLet's hope F8 - #2 System Restore works. Since you are pushing the buttons, you need to UNDERSTAND a little bit what it is going to do. You only need to read a couple pages of the doc.ok I am reading it now..I will let you knowOK does this mean I will loose all my programs and will have to reprogram like windows, Internet, etc..Config says it has Win7, correct? Instructions are for Vista & XP, so expect some differences. #2) System Restore returns your computer to an earlier operating state without affecting data files. Use System Restore as the first solution for restoring your operating system and preserving data files. #3) Dell PC Restore by Symantec (available in Windows XP) and Dell Factory Image Restore (available in Windows Vista) returns your hard drive to the operating state it was in when you purchased the computer. Both permanently delete all data on the hard drive and remove any programs installed after you received the computer. Use Dell PC Restore or Dell Factory Image Restore only if System Restore did not resolve your operating system problem.Good evening egrace08 I do not know if you are aware of it the #6 option that you asked about the "Dell datasafe" usually give you 2 options 1 for local backup and 2 for online back up if you have a account with Dell when you bought the PC. If the Dell software partition is intact you can use the Datasafe to save your personal items (doc's / pictures / favorites etc) then IF you need to do a factory restore (considered a destructive restore) then you have all your stuff. This link will help explain it http://dslbdownload.datasafelocalbackup.com/dsldownload-en.html Please KEEP in mind what "Computer_Commando" was telling on the different restore options that you have. Hope this helps you, Mike Win7's Repair option leaves everything intact...including apps and data. It's NOT restore. Just a heads up. |

Solve : Can't Send Email? |
|
Answer» I am trying to find the answer to this on the web. In the mean time I just installed Outook 2007 on my W7 (64 bit). It looks like every thing except sending email is SET up right. I can receive email just fine. I get the ERROR "Sending REPORTED error (0x800ccc78): "Cannot send the message. Verify the e-mail adress in your account properties. The server responded: 530 authentication required-". I am using AT&T and Yahoo. After messing some more in my Outlook 2007 acount settings I think I FOUND the answer. I had to go into the "More Settings" and click "Outgoing Server" then select "My outgoing server requires authentication". Now my EMAILS will send. Glad you sorted it..sorry we did not get there faster. |

Solve : Windows 7 compatibility with Office 2003?? |
|
Answer» I have a MICROSOFT Office 2003 Student and TEACHER edition. Will this work if I buy a new PC with windows 7? It will work just fine. Sorry same time posting..Quote from: Mulreay on March 08, 2010, 02:58:49 PM Sorry same time posting..That's fine . BTW, the service packs have nothing to do with OS compatibility - but I agree you should always have the latest. If your daughter is still in school and your wife is a teacher than of course you qualify for a discount for the "home & student" version. I believe your wife would get the biggest discount than your daughter for being a faculty member but I'm not sure. ALSO, Microsoft recently announced that people who buy office 2007 until 30 SEP are eligible for the free upgrade to office 2010 when it comes out of beta. Below is link to ARTICLE: http://www.itnews.com/office/15195/microsoft-office-2010-technology-guarantee-faq I think it will work OK but Office 2007 will work better.Quote from: neelchauhan on March 10, 2010, 02:41:53 PM I think it will work OK but Office 2007 will work better.Nonsense |

If you are running a 64bit version of Windows choose the X64 ver... well.. a 64-bit compiled app won't run on 32-bit windows...Sure they will...Quote from: patio on March 08, 2010, 02:58:40 PM Sure they will... Nope. It works the other way though- 32-bit programs run on 64-bit, of course.Quote from: patio on March 08, 2010, 02:58:40 PM Sure they will... Really? Quote from: patio on March 08, 2010, 02:58:40 PM Sure they will...I don't think so patio.I win! but why do I still feel empty inside?Quote from: BC_Programmer on March 09, 2010, 01:11:58 PM I win!I really get a kick out of you. You must be a fun guy to be around People have been giving me a wide berth ever since I tried to start a game show based on the land of Narnia called, "the Lion is in witch wardrobe?" In retrospect I probably should not have used an actual lion, and perhaps I should have fed it before the fateful rehearsal... And Of course the trainer neglected to mention that this particular lion became enraged when PLACED into small dark places, like wardrobes. Or maybe it was because of that TIME I was trying to TRAIN a donkey to ride a unicycle? I'd try asking people but I can never catch them.OOOOH my god....What have I done..... Please don`t GO to war over this. All jokes aside, guys thanks a lot.Greetz';Eric...Quote from: BC_Programmer on March 09, 2010, 01:11:58 PM but why do I still feel empty inside?
