ok heres my problem im a collector of artisitc photgraphs and such, i have about 2,000 pictures in about 50 or so folders, in my documents they've all worked fine untill recently, the image wont show in thumbnail view its just shows the jpeg sign or whatever, but after a lil while some pictures it doesnt even show that it was just a white box, not only that many of my pictures wont show up when i click on preview says "drawing failed"

and now this is happening



please help

i dont think its because of the amount of images i have cause ive had mass amounts before and nothing like this has happend and i dont think its a memory issue cause i still have about 17 gigs left on my hard driveLet me get this straight.... When you open the folder, the images do not display in the thumbnail style, right? Or am I wrong?

Thank you for your interast in helping meWell, I'm glad to see that everything worked out! Now, as for what I know about the problem.... Either a user CHANGED them intentionally, or you just pressed a "hotkey" accidently, and it got changed that way...

sorry if im frustrating you, i dont mean to beOh! I see! What I meant by program was this... Most computers require that you buy some other type of software before you can take pictures like that! I shoudl have guessed that the Print Screen key would have done it! Ususally, that button does not display the images SO clear, like yours came out... Thanks!

dl65  I did not reinstall XP.What do you mean by clean install?hi no i couldnt do the reinstall either   when i found that file i first typed in the problem exactly wat the erroe said and went from there somewhere it said just download this file....i have a web page with the answer maybe u can understand itRichard Oxford.....Clean install.......means you format the hard drive and then reload the operating system and the various app you use ........
The advantage to this is that you start fresh ,without any missing files .

I also had this problem, but I don't even have my XP CD. There is a microsoft help page on this problem with instructions, search for it. I saw an article (on Microsoft) where all you do is replace autoexec.nt and config.nt. But it required some batch scripting. It had REALLY clear instructions. Try searching microsoft support. It should turn up. You can always google it. Thousands of people share your problem.hi the answer is easy i have the webpage  please email meI tried the instructions on the MS site. It did not work, but I may be doing it wrong. It did not make any sence to me.dl65, I did do a clean install thats when I started having this problem. Everything was working fine untill I formatted my hard drive, then I started having this problem so I formatted again and added SP2.

I am installing XP for the second time on my HDD.  In my previous install I had the following partitions:

Primary (sys and boot) 3 GB
Extended - 8 GB (created just goofing around with Disk Mgmnt utils).

I later DELETED the Extended partition using Diskpart.  Also, I later blew away XP using FDISK on a bootable floppy since I wanted more space than just 3 GB for sys and boot partition.  Then, I re-installed XP.  In the setup process, XP said

"238473 MB Disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on atapi [MBR]".

I did a calculation on a Byte conversion website and with 250 GB shouldn't XP setup say something like 256,000 MB free for the new partition?  Did FDISK miss something in it's checks or is this normal?

Im having a problem booting my cpu. It is 5 yrs old, so dont be surrpried at its specs.

When i start my cpu, it goes through the start up process untill the windows loading screen apperes. Then it sits there untill i hit the space bar. then i get the message

On a side note, i got to a c promt yesterday, it took FOREVER for it to use a boot disk, but i realized that if i format my HD and i have no CD rom, then i cant install windows back  :-/ any suggestions before i run out and spend money on a new CDR?

When I maximize windows it always covers the start MENU toolbar thing on the bottom of the screen.  Can anyone tell me how to make it so that when I maxmize the screen it wont get any bigger PAST the toolbar. Right click on an empty section of the taskbar---> then properties.
then make SURE the "Keep the taskbar on TOP of other windows" is checked and "Auto-hide..." is not checked. If this solves it fine. if not ur registry might need a fixen. HELP! Okay, my computer has really been acting up lately. To make a long story short, I had to move my hard drive from one computer to another. EVERYTHING is WORKING great now except for my graphics. My screen SAVER, web images, pretty much any picture is really distorted, DISCOLORED and looks  looks like dots. I have tryed changing properties, but have had no luck.Have you tried reinstalling your video card drivers? What about using the internet to get the latest ones?

Am pulling my hair out!!  Have a 600ygs Gateway laptop.  Previously had a printer that used the standard printer cable.  Made the mistake of going into the store and buying an HP psc 1315 all in one printer that uses a usb cable.  Now, the printer won't work.  Windows XP seems to be the problem.  Not the right driver from HP?  Do not know what to do.  You would think you could go into a store, buy a printer and use it, right?  ThanksHave you contacted either manufacturer? [glb]Flame[/glb]I found the latest HP driver and patch dated 12/2004, and at the download everything went well, except finish. "this device not supported", and the window DISAPPEARED. Gateway says its a printer problem, and we chose to upgrade drivers from microsoft. We are pretty much up to date. India tried cleaning spooler, deleted waiting documents, deleted a confusing or un-necessary usb controller,  more than once, and then tried print from a document without success. Each of the major changes required system re-start, and new printer reconition install. It will not print online or offline, unless you count a single line at top of page and at one point a blurr of color and blk/whit on the same line. I think the patch from HP would work(),if I could shove it down Gateways hard drive. We have replaced the cable, and completely shut down the power to reset. I can get online, and look through sites, but when I try to add SOMETHING to my cart, or checkout, I get the error page. I just had to re-install Windows XP (probably didn't have to, but, I'm no comp guru so that's all I knew to do to fix the problems I was having...so, on with my question...

The My Documents FILES (i.e. My Music, My PICTURES, etc.) from before I re-installed windows are now inaccessible. I would like to have access to these files as I had some pics on there that are irreplaceable(sp?) Is there a WAY to access these now? I click on the icon and it says that the files are inaccessible.***crickets chirping***Did you do a repair re-install or a COMPLETE re-install? If you did a complete re-install and formatted your hard drive then you lost EVERYTHING.

  I have found a pattern with connecting sound downloads and attatching them with video creations, it makes a MESS of trouble for me?!

 2.7Gh intel with 768Mg RAM and 200G HD, OS is XP home.

  This has happened before,  when I open my video folder, it shows me the contents for a bit then freezes.  I have to ctrl-alt-del to end program!  
 I reformatted, all better.  Then I downloaded some stuff from freeplay music.  Once I created my 5 min. video now the bug is back!!
I guess I know now what not to do, but need to get rid of this bug...  
 It only AFFECTS my video, EVERYTHING else runs FINE.  I deleted the .avi files associated with the sounds, now folder stays open longer, but still crashes.
  Has anyone experienced this or know what to do?

[glb]Flame[/glb]Thanks for the quick RESPONCE , I have Norton but havent updated  the definitions  in awhile ,,it seems the problems started when I was prompted  by Internet Explorer  It asked me if I wanted to restore to my previous VERSION - and I said ok Then the comp FROZE I restarted it and here I am....

My problem:  I had a virus which I deleted through REGEDIT and rebooted as instructed.  When the system came back up, Windows failed to load properly.  I attempted to restore the "last known good configuration" with no success.  Windows still will not properly and completely load and everything is VERY slow to open when it does open.  What could this be?  How do I fix it (if it's REPAIRABLE).First when ever you use the registry to make changes, always back it up. One way to fix it with the limited information is to use ur insalation disk. And REPAIR windows from that, just make sure you don't REFORMAT it. I THINK the button is "R" for repair. your files will remain in tack while windows gets fixed.I don't have the installation disc, I bougt this PC from someone and they didn't have it.
did u try other restore points, older ones that is in stead of the last know config. If not can u borow a windows xp disk from a friend or family member?
after that consider buying an OS. If u delet keys in the registry, they become LOST and its impossible to restore them by saying u need this and that. Way to many keys to sift through.

I connect to the internet using broadband, the “tellies” appear in the system tray, by the clock, when I log in, showing I am connected.
I can open the Command box from Run in Windows XP Pro. I can IPCONFIG /all and it shows the dsl modem and the DNS server, I can also ping IP addresses but can’t ping IP host names.

I have contacted my ISP and they said it maybe a “Telnet Problem” but this makes no sense to me!

The thing that makes no sense to me is that I was on the net the night before and then the next morning it wouldn’t work, I must say that my son went onto the net after me within this desktop.

I ran my virus checker, “AVG Free” on the system first thing and it found 10 infections this was “Java/Byte.Verify” AVG would not remove the virus so I searched the net, from another computer, and found a way of removing it, this was found on the Java site, the virus is gone now.

Also when I write and addresses in the address bar at the top of the IE window it comes up with “IE can not open the search page” whether this is something to do with the above problem who knows.

I have surfed all over the net looking for solutions, but I'm not very SAVVY with Java lingo, so most of it was greek to me, and, most of it really had to do with help when designing a web page and incorporating java into it.  I have DSL service and use WinPoet to CONNECT because I have it set to bypass the router in the device.  As I said, this has worked perfectly until yesterday.  I did not do any new installs or delete anything.  I do not have a firewall or popup blockers.  My antivirus-ware is off.  I even re-installed Java AND IE 6 and still, I get the same error.  Now, the funny thing is, I installed Netscape 7.2, and I can read the pages fine in there.   ???I really don't like Netscape (sorry all you Netscape fans), and I'd like to get this resolved.

Well.... First, I think that you should call your Internet Service Provider, and have them give in their two cents... Also, seeing as you do not like Netscape, try MSN EXPLORER... my comuputer is shutting down unexpectingly, and in my POWER OPTIONS it is set up to be always on. i am not sure if this is a common problem or not, any one know how to fix it?!!Check the systems box to SEE if there's a warm spot as this sounds like a power supply issue.
How old is the system?There should also be a fan RUNNING when the system is on to cool the systems components.Is the fan running?If not and any area of the systems case is warm,try replacing the fan and hope your power supply and other system components haven't fried.Basically I WOULD suspect you have an overheating issue.

a friend gave me his USED notebook computer with WIN 95 on it. its MISSING the diskette drive but has a cd rom
and i have access to another computer that burns discs.
the problem is he tried to upgrade it to win 98 for me yet was unsuccessful.

now when i start it up i GET the error message that "a devise file that is specified in the SYSTEM.INI  file is damaged. you may need to run windows set up program again. if the file is included in another software package, you may need to reinstall the software that uses the file." end message. i've tried a reboot disk for win 95 several TIMES and tried reinstalling win 95 too yet same message. any thoughts? can i just wipe out the whole operating system and start clean yet how do i do that? I'm kinda new at this, so pardon me if this is a stupid question but i don't get something. I'm trying to install winxp on a new PARTITION, which i am attempting to create. But first I'm sposed to have a boot floppy. I do. As FAR as I can tell it's a worthless endeavor to have one though. I thought the purpose of a boot disk was to be able to actually BOOT from it. All it does (and i have several that do the same THING) is take me to an A:.  From there I type "c:, d:, e: whatever:", it says "Invalid drive specification. I type "win", it says "Bad command or file name".  Nothing I've tried gets windows up so what's the point? (It boots up fine without a boot floppy, I'm just trying to be prepared). dir c: doesn't help. The only "dir" I can see is "A". That really helps. I'd really appreciate some advice.The boot floppy is doing exactly what it's supposed to do.   It "boots" the computer to A:>

What you may not understand is that when you format your hard drive .......all info on that drive is wiped out .....gone ...... So what the boot disk does is give you a way to be able to install your operating system onto the hard drive ......
So whats on a boot disk.......

There are several small DOS files
There .....are some basic cd drivers so the cd drive will function ..
There should be a file on it called FDISK .....this will enable you to create or remove partitions as well as display those partitions .
There will also be a file called FORMAT .......

So you might do well to do a google for ...... What is a boot disk ......and see how MUCH info is there for the taking ...

From reading the "How do I install Windows XP tutorial", I gather you can partition from the XP setup cd. Is that right? I've been trying to do it with FIPS. It has worked for me in the past but not having much luck with it this time. But if XP cd allows you to partition then that would be great. I have Win98, was trying to upgrade from that (tried 7 times!) but always fails (for different reasons every time). So, decided to go with new installation on new partition. Sorry, this is too long. Basically, my question is about splitting the partition with the xp cd. Thanks for your help.I believe that WinXP will only partition on a clean install, to a freshly formatted hard drive.  If you wish to add, remove, or merge partitions after windows is installed, try Partition Magic.  http://www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic/

I am trying to SET the WSID and Workstation to numbers in Microsoft XP and nomater what i set in the autoexec.bat file by typing: "SET WSID=64","SET WORKSTATION=64".  I am tyring to use a program called Comcraft that is written in a really old version of Workstation Basic.  It works great in Win98 but When I try in XP PROFESSIONAL it just picks some random number for the WSID ND Workstation.  If anyone can help that WOULD be great.  Thank you!Autoexec.bat and config.sys are not used in Windows XP. I installed a Mach Speed N2PAP Lite motherboard with a Nvidia nForce 400 CHIPSET, a AMD Sempron 2500+ processor, and 2 256mb Infineon sticks of RAM. After I installed the new hardware it said "We're Sorry Window's could not start properly. It might be due to the new hardware or software." or something like that.  What do I do to get Windows to start up?remove one PIECE at a time to eliminate any hardware.after all these hardware changes,did you reformat the hard drive?sometimes if the harddrive is already LOADED with windows and you CHANGE a major piece of hardware like a motherboard it will not load because its looking for original hardware.so let us know what you did to harddriveI suppose that you upgraded an older computer... and also that you had Windows XP installed on it.
You have to call your Windows reseller and tell him your problem. Windows XP doesn`t start if you change too many things in your computer (he thinks you try to install/use windows xp on many computers, or something like that).
Do you have the windows XP kit? Try with a reinstall... If it doesn't work, try with a format and then install Windows.I only tried to reinstall a cdrw and now every time all i get is a blue screen with the windows logo (no log-on screen) ...what can i do?Quentin , Raul.......A little confusing....are you the same poster using TWO names or are we talking about 2 differant situations .....

You would need to convert the image into the other file format type. Unfortunately I'm not that familiar with Adobe Workshop, but if it's anything like Adobe PHOTOSHOP if you do File and Save as you should be able to save the file as a .JPG or JPEG image. If this is not an option it's likely you will need to change the image type or image format. For example in Photoshop you would change the Image mode from RGB color to Index color.

Hope this helps.April.....Adobe Workshop .....? I don't think I've EVER seen that app ....or is it part of some other Adobe app .
Usually if you have been EDITING PICS Adobe will save in PSD format UNLESS you select a differant format.
What operating system are you using and do you have Photoshop 7 or CS , or Photoshop Elements 3 installed on your pc .

If you open a WINDOWS DOS box, you can PRESS ALT-Return  and MAKE the Windows box a full-screen DOS screen. Is there a way to do this from a batch file? Similar to the following:

strike ALT+Return
echo on


Then I could control the DOS window size from within the program, not depend on the user to "do it right." The program is for genealogy, a combination of PowerBasic programs and batch file programs.

I have xp on my laptop and desktop and have run the create new connection wizard on both. There is a parallel cable connecting the two and the little box pops up SAYING that they are connected at 4.0mbps.

The PROBLEM is that I can only see 3 files under the SHARED documents from the host computer to the guest computer. I have tried to turn SHARING on to the host and there is a hand icon under the files that I have moved to the shared documents, but I still can't get them to show up on the guest (where I'm TRYING to transfer them). WHAT GIVES???

How do i get files to be seen on the guest computer and transferred?

I did turn off the firewall protection and that didnt' help either.

About 25% of the time my screen saver fails to START.  It is set to TURN on after 10 MINUTES of inactivity and the monitor is set to turn off after 20 minutes but this fails to happen far too OFTEN.  I can restart the computer and most of the time the problem is corrected for a while but then it happens again.  My OS is WIN XP PRO.

Today I restarted my computer and when it did the screen came up saying "Invalid system disk..." There was no disk in the drives so I made a boot disk and PUT it in.

Now I can get to a Command Prompt for A:\ and I can change to my hard drive C:\ and all of my stuff is still on my hard drive but Windows will not open, when I try to start it in SAFE Mode the starting Windows 98 screen comes up for about a second and the it goes to a C:\ command prompt and right above that it says Microsft Windows 98 with copyright info and stuff. I try to start it in normal mode and in safe mode but it still goes to command prompt.

I need help to actually getting windows started. Please help, I'm desparate.At the C: check if the Windows directory still exists.  If it does try going into it and running the executable.  I doubt this will work.Did you have ANTIVIRUS software?

bought a new pc from DABS and while it seems to work fine in the main it crashes during a few things

-trying to copy/backup cds to the harddrive.  every 2 or 3 tracks the entire computer freezes so you have to reset
-trying to UPGRADE to xp pro the computer REPEATEDLY froze in many different places
-trying to install service pack 2.  downloaded fine but again computer froze while trying to install.  again in 2 different points

also, i have tried to install two seperate games,  admittedly they are copies, but they just ask me to insert the correct disc and will not function.

i dont remeber the exact specs as i am at work but it is a celeron 2.6, 512 ram, 80gb hard drive.

any ideas??First of all try to Defragment your all of the drives.
If it does not solve your problem then boot your PC from bootable CD or floppy and in command prompt TYPE:
c:\fdisk/mbr
Rewrites the Master Boot Record.


If the problem persist then do the following:
Save your Data and try to format your hard disk and reinstall the OPERATING system from scratch. Also scan your computer with an Up-to-date and effective Antivirus software LIKE Norton Anti Virus.
If the problem persist then you have to repartionad your hard disk by booting it from windows98 bootable CD or floppy and run "FDISK". The process of repartitioning, I think you know very well.

Its all the files and folders that the computer stores.

Anyway to fix this.

Here is what the error reads:

"Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shutdown"

So he cannot get access into it or any other folders stored.

Whats wrong and how can i fix it ?

Yes he has restarted the system, nothing worked.

He used a SPYWARE and virus program today.


He said one time when he turned on his computer it just didnt work. I DONT know what he was doing before this. I think it is like all the Microsoft services such as My Documents, My Computer, Search. Etc.Sorry that did not work- it has worked on the computers I did it on. Maybe your operating system has been corputed some where a long the way. May be you should try to repair it by loading the system disk and booting to it. Make make sure you click the "R" otherwise you will format the hard drive.

I am at my witt's end.
ABS computer sustem, AMD 1 Giga Hz proc. 256 Meg Mem, Intel Modem 56K, XP Pro, No Other SOFTWARE running.

Problem: After internet logon I am able to access 2 (not 1, not 3) sites and the system goes in what appears like a "non modem recognition" mode and my browser show "cannot find this page bla bla bla..."
I have changed over from IE to Netscape but to no avail.
I have changed from a Winsoft modem to a new hardwire modem which aleviated the 100% processor use lockup situation but Internet access is still the ongoing problem.

This computer has been back to the manufacturer more times than I have had it in my house!!!!!!

Please, please SOMEONE help me out.

P.s. Do not respond with idiotic supggestions like "are you plugged in to the phone line etc" please, the computer manufacturer has already given me enough grief.

dl65  The other side of connection is reliable? They don't have a problem with the modem to which you connect? Or other settings?You didn't mention having checked for viruses.  Have you checked for viruses?  Are you sure that your ISP is functioning correctly?  Does it matter which 2 sites you visit or is it always the same 2?Thank you Joleen, Viking and Dl65,

The problem is website independent. It is also computer independent because my second system logs in to the same ISP over the same line. No virusses present, no spyware present.
System functions without a hitch on all no modem related tasks such as word processing, spreadheets and/or database work.
The system is running pretty MUCH down to the bone as far as software is concerned.
I have let XP "find" my modem and I have manually installed it but the RESULT is the same.
There are no other pieces of hardware installed.

P.s. Dl65: appologies for the poor choice of words......please chuck it up to frustration.You said that the second computer uses the same line. The same modem too?
I don't know a good answer for your problem. But if I have to access internet and with one of the computers it works fine, than I'll make a sharing for internet (see ICS on windows 98 or XP)Thank you Viking,

A couple of months ago, XP started failing to boot completely. It would get nearly complete as judged by the system tray, desktop loaded, some launch-at-boot items LAUNCHED and running, etc. but, it would not quite finish. The result is that things just don't work, but perhaps the most descriptive symptom is that I can't Ctrl-Alt-Del to check running apps and proicesses, or even shutdown. I have to power off to shutdown, then reboot. Sometimes it does this two or three times in a row, then boots fine. It went for a week or more at one point WITHOUT doing it, then suddenly started again. I haven't been able to associate it with anything consistent, other than the possibility that it might be associated with either Dell's iunsistence to alert for updates, or Windows insistence on the same, or the Office SHORTCUT Bar (sorry...just am too accusomed to using it to abandon it for Quick Launch).

I have run a virus check with the most recent version of AVG with the most current definitions, run a spyware check with the most recent version of AdAware and the most recent defs, with no hits on either. I run Zone Alarm Free and have the XP firewall turned off.

OptikerHave you install any new hardware? If yes then may be this problem is because of that hardware,so check the compatability of that hardware.
Another thing is that may be your have a software whose requirement is high then currently you have on your PC.
Another thing is that goto start > Run and TYPE "msconfig" and press enter. Now click the last tab which is "Startup" tab and uncheck all those softwares or files which were installed by yourself. And leave those checked whcih are necessary for booting the system with CARE. After this press ok. It will ask you to restart your PC. So press yes to restart your PC. After booting, I hope that your problem will be solved.

Dur-E-WahabDur...no new hardware, no OVERLY demanding software. This is a Dell, less than a year old, with pretty good specs.  3 MHz Pentium, 1 GB RAM, 128 MB nVidia. I don't have any software new enough to push that performance.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I don't get anybody who recognizes the symptoms and can give me a higher probability solution, I'll try clearing the start apps and see if it helps. There aren't many other than AVG and Zone Alarm, but worth trying if no other solutions.

I have an old Compaq computer running Windows ME. My POWER was lost while online and now all I get is a black screen with 'Operating system not found on any devices' written at the top of the screen. I tried running the cd that came with the computer but all it does is reboot over and over. It did this one time before a few years back and it cost me a little over $200 to get back online and I lost all my files.

I have windows xp professional and every time I add a new mouse, new hard drive, new cd drive or add anything into a usb port it never finds the drivers on its own.  It GETS very annoying to go and look for the driver for each item.  Most rescently I just bought an EXTERNAL hd drive and there is no drivers avaliable for it.  The manual SAID Xp will read it automatically but mine doesn't.  Do I need to reinstall Xp or what someone please help!!!Have you been keeping up with our Windows UPDATES by going to HTTP://www.microsoft.com ?

I am in desperate need of help.  I have volunteered to be the player/agent for the local Little League organization.  This position is responisble for registration, team rosters, scheduling of games, etc.  All the aforemention tasks are completed with the assistance of SOFTWARE called League Administration Software (LAS).  This Little League purchased this software many years ago - it runs on Windows 3.1.

The previous player/agent e-mailed me a zipped folder containing files that included the ability to set up the LAS on my computer.  My computer runs Windows XP Home.

I was given the following instructions for installation:

1.  Unzip folder and place contents in its own folder in the c: drive

2.  Add the line FILES=200 in the config.sys in the root of c - the program will not run unless this occurs

3.  run the program with LAS.BAT

4.  drag an MS-DOS shortcut icon (for LAS) to my desktop


I was able to accomplish 1.
I do not know how to do 2. or 3.
I have done 4.

When I double click on the shortcut icon, I am taken to a black screen for a moment.  Another screen then pops up and states that I must add the info stated in 2..  This screen also has a red box in the LOWER half that indicates that an "alias" system not found.  I have the option of clicking on cancel or ignore words.

I can't help but think that there is just maybe one or two small steps I am missing.  I have spent hours trying to figure it out.  

Any help would be greatly appeciated.

It SEEMS I have a BIGGER problem. I am on a Windows 98SE with Internet explorer 6 and I am on a wireless adapter. I can't do a windows update. I get error number 0x80090305. Nobody knows what it means. I go to microsoft feedback won't respond and they're news groups don't know. It turns out I can do a secure transmission, so now I am COMPLETELY stumped of why it won't work.It turns out, I can't have secure transmissions on Internet Explorer. On netscape, it can be secure. I am getting ANGRY.

Hello again. I just set up an Outlook Express 6 account. I use winmail for my POP3 and Smtp servers. When I set up the account, it asks for an email address. I read the help thing but it doesn't make sense. "The email to access this account." I FIGURE it means, if I send stuff to the Email I provide, it will come to outlook. I provided my hotmail account. Then I sent a TEST message to my hotmail account and it didn't forward to Outlook. *

Maybe I am looking at this the wrong way. Do I actually have an "Outloo"k account, like [email protected] or something like that? I am doing this because I want people to send email to my Gmail account then forward it to my Outlook account (don't ask why). Someone please help.

And about that hotmail thing, I got a message saying outlook doesn't support free hotmail accounts anymore.

Also, On my Windows 98SE computer (On a wireless adapter), outlook takes about 60 seconds just to load the startup screen. I think I have version 4, I will see if UPGRADING to 6 will help. just for folks who don't KNOW. If you have an o/s with anti virus on it i suggest you USE it. norton is on my windows home edition and works great. If you try to download something ELSE it will CONFLICT and not WORK properly. use the one that came with your o/system.
