What is the problem you are having?CDBurner and IMGBurn are both Free and may suit your needs...The only thing with nero ..takes forever to burn a dvd and sometimes if i play the dvd in a reg. dvd player it freezes or somthing...burnt plenty and really only had one or 2 to COME out good without freezing... so i dont know.Has to be something on your end. Get a USB stick to hold and transfer your data.

You need to go to my network places, and find her computer. Double click it and youll see like a printers folder. Up at the top youll see SOMETHING like \\%moms computers name here%\ at the top, add a c$ to that so it reads \\%moms computer name here%\c$. It will ask you for a username and password, ask your mom to log in for you. you then have access to that computers C:\ drive through the network.another way is to use a CAT5 cable that connects one computer to another. Hi, I have a very specific need. I need to find out the [unknown] command line arguments/switches of an executable. The executable does not have the /? switch, so a simple solution such as that will not work. I know a few switches that it has, such as /win and /norender. I also have PE explorer if that helps any. So, does anyone have a way of finding the switches without "/?" ?there is no way, aside from the programs help files, to see how it manipulates and parses the command-line.

It's likely that the switches themselves are saved as plaintext somewhere- the trick is that they are unlikely to be stored as say, "/norender" or "/win" instead, TRY looking for "norender" or "win", and look for other, nearby words in the area where you find them.have you tried

an external hard drive containing 76gb of photos has been running on my laptop for two days, i noticed that when i tried to save to it, a popup said it was unable to save to f: drive. so i went to my computer and opened the drive by right click and explore but there is nothing in there apart from an autorun folder which i don't RECALL being there before. I'm obviously shocked at the notion that ten YEARS of work and FAMILY photos are missing but i'm afraid to unplug or power off the system or external hdd in case i do permenant damage, also when in my computer and i right click on the hdd and SELECT properties, the hard drive has 76gb used space.

I have Windows XP, Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop, 2½ years old, (the computer, not me).

Recently on any videos I try to watch, the images, particularly faces are all solidly black, darkened, not viewable.
I've ALWAYS used Windows Media Player which was the default when I BOUGHT the computer.

I just do mostly basic stuff on the computer. I am not a "TECHIE".

Try doing a system restore to before you installed the software.

Worth a try.1) Start -> Run -> cmd.
2) Ping your website's domain name. Does it resolve to the correct IP address? If not...
3) ipconfig /flushdns
4) Try GOING to your site again.

When I plug in a particular USB flash drive, my cursor freezes. Conversely, when I unplug this USB, the cursor ceases freezing. Other USBs I plug in don't CAUSE a cursor freeze. I transferred some personal documents (resumes, documents I created for process) from my work laptop via a USB stick. I then put the usb stick in my personal laptop and i am not able to access. I get contact administrator error on all of the documents even tho they are personal ones. Is there an encryption or block from like Sophos or something on these Word documents when transferred from work laptop to the usb? I can see the documents, just cant open them.

I have tried to change permissions etc but still says "contact administrator." Seems like company put something on the files once transferred, yet I COULD have just emailed them to myself. Can someone please advise? Thank you.

If your work laptop had a TPM module and this was enabled, the files will only be able to opened when the USB stick is used on the work laptop, they are not accessible on other computers.

It wouldn't have mattered if you emailed them as the OS can use the TPM module send the files encrypted anyway.

Also it can leave a lot more info on the source than a normal copy does, so be very careful the files you copied belong to you.

If it is TPM encryption without the Laptop Hardware is is not possible to decrypt the files.

To understand TPM, a GOOGLE search will give lots of results some of it is pretty heavy reading

I have WIN 7 and win 10 on my desktop. I use mostly Win 7 and on occasions try out win 10. I always had Thunderbird email. So when i installed win 10, I installed Thundebird there to, in the event that i should receive an email. I don't want to close one OS just to RESPOND to it in the other system. MY point is, I assumed, and please correct me if I am wrong, that I use the same address's and passwords for both of them. But that seems to be a problem at times, especially with my gmail email account. If i change the password on one system, naturally i have to do the same to the other, but for some reason I still have a problem. The one i corrected in win 7 gets me through, but when i use that same password in win 10, it tells me that its wrong. Is there a way to fix this?In Thunderbird you should be able to enter that correct password and it WORK on the Windows 10 system. MAKE sure caps lock and NUM lock keys arent messing with you if the password if correct and its still not working.

I have been using ms media player to extract mp3 files from CDS and when it's done I renamed the files and move them to a different folder from the output folder. But I find when I extract more tracks from the same CD or extract in different format the file names of the previous files from that disc return to their default names even though I tried to HIDE them from media player. My company has been using monitoring software we installed years ago, and it's quite POPULAR. EVERYTHING SEEMED fine until remote work BEGAN. Now our employees are working on their home computers, all of which have different versions of Windows, antivirus versions, etc. We found out that the software doesn't work properly, especially that a lot of bugs were found on computers where Windows 8 had already been updated automatically to Windows 10 back in the DAY (no idea why). Nowwe 're looking for an alternative, maybe a cloud version that is compatible with all systems.

I tried doing some options and it worked. The main track function will get it done. In the track menu, you will see a “display the main track” option in the list, just click it and a new track will be added. Now, you can create the volume diagram for your track.

How can I make a library in my system like add pdf books some kind of home page appears and when I click any book it opensI took a more low level approach and used batch as the coding language. Ugly but serviceable. Python, Rexx (Classic or Object), Javascript, VBScript, and others could also be used with the same approach. Powershell (Windows or Core but not v6.x) or even a HTA (using Vbscript or JScript or both) could be used if you wanted a GUI.

Change the name of the folder on line 10 and you should be good to go. Script uses a single folder for the pdf files, but if they live in multiple folders, the code can be tweaked to handle it.

Did you run the script? All it does is print an on-screen menu of the pdf files it found. Each book is numbered so all the user needs to do is select one. There are no thumbnails. When a selection is made the book is opened the same as if the user used Windows Explorer and double clicked the file.

Not sure what this means. The script is WRITTEN in batch language. Save the script on your disk with any name and a .bat or .cmd extension. Open a command prompt, navigate to the folder where the file is saved and run it.

A few notes: If user selects 0 then no selection is made and the script ends QUIETLY. If the selection made is greater than the number of books or less than zero, an error is thrown and then script ends quietly.

The pdf file is opened with the program associated with the pdf extension. If there is no association, you may have to add a path and program name to: !item.%sel%!

Two disks are backed up when doing a system backup. One disk is Win7, the other is Win10. Win 7 is the system disk. However, the GOAL is to backup Win10 only. Disconnecting the Win7 disk, the Win10 does not boot, therefore, does not change to become the system disk to image. Apparently it is missing the MBR. Exactly, how is this CORRECTED so that a system backup of the Win10 disk can be executed?The boot area to select the version of Windows you want to run is on the Windows 7 drive in a small partition NORMALLY 100 mb. So you need to include that partition in any backup.
What software are you USING to do the backup?

Also why are you only backing up the Windows 10 drive?
The software is AOMEI Backupper Professional which hasn't been allowing for a backup of Win7 & Win10 individually i.e. it insists on one (large) image for both OSes. AOMEI Support states nothing can be done about it. Win7 readily backs up other partitions that are bootable without having to include Win10 in the image file. It's always when imaging Win10 that this issue is confronted.

I cannot install KB4565503. It downloads to 10% then installs to 100% then GOES back to download. I've tried scannow, uninstalling all virus SOFTWARE and a reset. Trouble is, it won't update until this is INSTALLED. I'm on windows 10 version 2004 (OS BUILD 19041.329). No one can FIGURE this out. Any help out there?

I have a second old IBM ThinkCentre computer with the Windows XP OPERATING system on it that I mainly use for running 32 bit programs. Using Norton's Ghost nine version I have made a backup of the entire hard drive.

Now I intend to try and upgrade the operating system on that computer to the 32 bit version of Windows 7. However, first I want to wipe the hard drive clean before attempting to do the upgrade. Should the upgrade fail for some reason, and I have to return to Windows XP by using my Ghost backup file, will the restoration complete ok in VIEW of the drive being previously wiped clean? That is, will Ghost be looking for any necessary INFORMATION from the drive that it can't now find? Hoping somebody can please advise on this issue.

If you have a cd with a bootable version of Ghost 9 then you would boot from the CD and access the backup. It doesn't need anything from the hard drive to do a restore.
Was the backup a complete copy of the Hard drive so if you swap out your existing drive it would boot and work. Or was it to an image file or files. If it is the latter then it would pay to check the backup will restore before you wipe the hard drive.

Better yet I would get another hard drive to load Windows 7 onto. If you check around you may be able to get a drive for free or a few dollars You need to create a Restore CD or USB stick immediately. Without a Restore disk, your backups are potentially useless. Right now, you can only restore a backup if your computer is still bootable. However, if you encounter a situation where the drive completely failed or the computer cannot boot, you will have no way to restore the backup. I've never used Ghost 9 but there should be someway to create a restore CD. Do that now. Also, as said above, make sure you do an image backup which is an exact copy of the drive.

The suggested idea to purchase a 2nd disk to do what you wish to do is a good idea and I have done that in the past. If your computer is from the XT era, it's possible that it takes an IDE or PATA drive and not a SATA drive. SATA drives are relatively inexpensive right now but PATA drives are becoming less available and more expensive. Not sure what size drive you are looking for. It doesn't need to be the same capacity as the original, it can be larger or smaller than the original as long as it's capacity is large enough to fit the entire backup. You should be able to get a 250GB drive for less than $50 on Amazon or some place like that.Thank you Lisa and Strollin for your very helpful replies. Yes, I didn't think it would matter if the drive had been wiped when a Ghost restoration had to be done, but I wanted to make sure. I do have the bootable proper Ghost disks for both versions 9 and 14 and my computer's boot up menu is properly arranged to allow booting up from them. I don't think I will bother with installing a new hard drive at this stage but I do have a second ThinkCentre IBM computer to raid parts from if required. Yes, my Ghost backup is for the complete contents of the hard drive and is STORED on a large modern flash drive.

I notice that the EaseUS Todo company in China seem to have a very popular replacement for Ghost now that they did not want to release a 64 bit version of their software. I use it on my modern laptop computer with Windows 7 64 bit system installed. I was going to try to clone the entire hard drive contents of the IBM with the Windows 7 32 bit system on it across to a high speed flash drive. Apparently it is capable of doing that. Then I could plug the flash drive into a modern laptop to run old 32 bit programs.

As for your comment about "the one key recovery for Vista..." I presume that can only be done for a substantial fee. Actually I'm thinking of buying a more modern laptop that will take the Windows 7 32 bit system because I really do prefer it to Vista.

Long answer. You can isolate the spectrum from about 300 to 3000 HZ and get our voice out of the noise but results are limited. Presently the best trick is to have the mic close to yuour mouth.

I want to mirror my Android phone to Windows computer for screencasting, but the tools that I FOUND are all paidware. Dear All,

I have purchased a second-hand (but well maintained and in very good condition) HP Laserjet Printer Multifunction (Scan,coppy, Print) 3050 model. I have a PC (64 bit) with Windows 10 as OS.

After installation, I am able to print and copy but unable to scan. When I press the SCAN button on the printer, I get a message "Waiting for PC" on the Printer Display.

4 computer experts have come and tried at least for one hour each but were unable to resolve the issue.

What is the problem and how to resolve it?

Have you tried contacting HP Tech Support?A few things that come to mind (sorry if any of these are things you've tried already)

1. Uninstall and reinstall the HP software with the latest version from http://support.hp.com

2. try running the HP Print and Scan doctor. If HP Print and Scan doctor does't fix problem, maybe it can direct you in the right direction in terms of determining what may be causing the problem

3. I read somewhere that somebody simply launched MS paint and used the "Import from scanner or camera" option under File in the menu and got the scanner to work that way (seems that's only a workaround that worked for somebody and not a solution to root cause of the problem)

Did you get your HP Laserjet 3050 to scan - if yes, how? I've been trying for 6 months now but can only print and copy. The drivers on the HP website only list universal print drivers and saw somewhere in the documentation that the scan drivers are not included. To scan it stated to use Windows Fax & Scan function but when I try, it errors that it can't find the device. When I checked Printers and Scanners I see the LJ3050 printer but no scanner - the same in Device Manager. Found the program HPFixScan which added USB Scasnning Device to Device Manager but the HPFixScan.log shows some errors:

I'm having the same problem.
The hp LaserJet 3050 was working well with Debian and with Windows 7. But now, with a new laptop (even hp !) and Windows 10, the scanner does not work. Neither Windows Fax & Scan nor VueScan finds the device. In GIMP, now as I installed a TWAIN driver, both the device itself hp LaserJet 3050 and the indirect contact via VueScan are listed as a scanner option - but then again, it does not work.

How can this issue be fixed?

I just got windows 10 and a TRIAL version of MICROSOFT 365. I prefer to USE my older version of Microsoft Office. I've read that you can't have TWO versions on the same computer. Can I either deactivate or UNINSTALL Microsoft 365 and then install my current version of Office?

See here...If you go to Start, Apps and Features, is Microsoft Office 365 Desktop Apps listed? Try removing it from there, if so click it and choose to uninstall.

Hello. I plan to mass-buy stuff I have wishlisted on GPM in preparation for the service shutdown. I'm worried that I won't be able to PLAY the music I bought anymore.

The only solution I found was EyeD3 which requires python to be installed as a dependency

I don't want to install anything like that for a highly situational purpose so I tried to install it in Sandboxie so I can easily remove it when I'm done but the installer won't RUN inside the sandbox.

I was unable to successfully install a pip package from an embeddable .zip file

Hey guys, its been about a decade since I was active on this forum lol but i came back on a quest here. I dont know how I started this project, but this is where I am now.
So I'm trying to automate events when I come home. Have tv on something I enjoy, wake my computer from sleep and start a video game, lights on, etc. Right now I have a pretty big mix of applications and services to do what I'm doing.
-I trigger Google or Alexa, she sends a text from myself, to myself.
-Tasker(android) receives that message and sends a WakeOnLan packet to my computer.
-She turns on my smart lights and plugs
-[Alexa waits 4 minutes/google counts to 30, eight times].
-Then I have her use TriggerCMD(with IFTTT) to start a batch file i made to
A. Trigger a second .BAT to timeout and close the.
BlueStacks App
B. Start a RokuRemote app in Bluestacks on my computer. - BlueStacks has a macro set to run on startup, this turns on the TV, selects channels>Hulu>User>search>'futurama', selects it and resumes last episode.
-I have trigger command run a .BAT to start a retro emulator in fullscreen

And thats about it right now. Its getting to be a lot and I almost can't remember what app does what. Is there a way I can have my assistant just send script to the pc to run a .BAT and everything runs off that instead of using a lot of these apps I dont need? Would I be able to communicate back from the computer to Google and Alexa?(i use both) and this is hardware, but could I get like, an IR blaster and send signals to the TV/camcorder webcam/color changing lights/etc?
Thanks so much you guys rock. I don't know how i missed this option, but I guess i already have a way to open a .BAT on the PC, im using triggerCMD. I'll just make one Batch that runs the other batches. So that answers one of my questions. I need the batch to do the automation probably and send commands to the Assistant, echo dot in this case because i keep her on my desk. Google doesn't have a pause function so I need the timing done by cmd prompt. If I can't send signal, I could figure a way to turn on a pc-connected speaker and start a recording of my saying "alexa turn on lights" I guess.
And i thought of an additional question, could I use WINE(android) or some sort of emulator/VM to run all this on an android phone set up on my desk? Maybe look into an inexpensive mini-pc or PC stick for that? I'm kind of wanting something with low power consumption i can leave on all the time, but also able to run my ipcams/webcams through editing software and stream it over LAN at least to my main rig.

I'm dumb for asking lol. Pretty much figured it all out and more. If anyone is interested, its pretty much all done by an app called Tasker. You can easily automate pretty much anything, especially with all of its plugins. Like $3.50 on the play store.
The Roku buttons can all be done with HTTP POST with a few HTTP GET for bonus functionality.
I linked Tasker (using AutoRemote plugin) to EventGhost on the PC side for a anything i need automated there.That's cool that you were able to do what you wanted. I have a few things setup to be controlled by Alexa but I wouldn't want to go to the extreme you did. For instance, I can't see the value of having the TV turned on and set to a specific channel when I come home, mainly because when I come home I don't immediately turn on the TV and start watching. I don't have a set routine and stuff you are talking about requires a specific set of actions to OCCUR.

My home automation is pretty basic, I can control my Roku (to a point) via Alexa, I can access my car to remote start it (tested this but never use it), I can open/close my garage door, and I can turn porch light on/off (I mainly did this because the kids would leave the porch light on all night).

A buddy of mine gave me some modules that you plug lights or whatever into and then you can control them via Alexa. I had those modules for over a year before I finally found a use for one of them. I have a light on my 3D printer that I can turn on/off. I have a camera pointed at the printer and can view my current PRINT's progress remotely. The problem is that at night, it's dark in the room so I can tell Alexa to turn the light on so I can see, then turn it off again.

I recently retired as a robotic automation consultant but really don't have a desire to automate my home beyond what I have now.

The problem with most automation is that it is rule based, meaning that it requires an exact set of rules for it to determine what to do in a GIVEN situation. However, with AI quickly coming on the scene, we will be able to create much smarter automation. Getting closer to robots becoming self-aware. Skynet...Ahhh its my old pal Patio.

I also need to find a couple more wifi plugs, I have a lamp in one but I'd like my powered USB hub on a second. (I could turn on and off my midi keyboards, microphones, and some of the cameras remotely.

If there's anyway to find out the content ID and make it launch as a hulu parameter maybe, I'd like to know that. That way I could replace futurama with a variable and be able to input what I want to watch without hard coding each show i might view often. Was getting pretty into the tasker app, started on an interface to keep all my controls in one place. I can export as standalone apps, but everything is specific to me. It'd be nice to eventually learn the android language a little bit (not sure what it is, shell, python? I've worked with both trying to get this running.) Maybe be able to to make options for other setups. I know I have at least one good idea for a very simple app that a lot of people I know would use. It's a button that stays in your phone notifications, you can pull down and click "yes" instead of frantically looking for your remote at 3am when netflix is asking if you're still BINGE watching.

Today, I decided to update my DRIVERS for Lenovo G585(32-bit) since I had never updated them. So I went to the official Lenovo website to get the drivers.

I download them and install them one by one.

If my memory SERVES me correct, then it was probably a Software and Utility driver or a Power Management driver that I installed last before RUNNING a .exe file.

The .exe reports that it has stopped working.

And now 50% of my application.exe have stopped working. I am very TROUBLED. Please HELP!

Is anyone familiar with this software?

I've been using it for a number of years, and have had no bother until now. Before I went to bed I opened it up in order for me to recover data from previously deleted partitions.

I set it to a deep scan and then went to bed. This morning when I got up I couldn't see the popup telling me the amount of recovered files Puran had found, in fact, sometime during the NIGHT it shut down automatically.

I started a FRESH scan, EVERYTHING went fine until the progress bar got to a certain position and then the application shut down. I tried several times and got the same RESULT every time.

What other freeware programs are available which I could use as an alternative to Puran where I can scan the disc for deleted partitions?

I hope someone can help me with this. I keep two Xcel files; one for electric consumption and the other for my bank account. Everytime I entered for example $330.00 in my bank account it WOULD only enter $330. I had to manually enter the two zeros. I did something in formatting the cells to add the two zeros and now when I try to enter my elective consumption it goes into each cell as a currency number with a decimal and two digits. Hello everybody, I'm writing regarding being unable to access the BIOS on my Aorus Pro Wifi X570 board. The issue arose after installing the WINDOWS 10 OS, after which the PC freezes at the BIOS splash screen if I press any F button during booting. tried the method via UEFI firmware SETTINGS reboot, tried turning off Fast Mode, none work, sometimes I GET the BLACK screen akin to a command tab with the blinking white line in top left. How could I get into my BIOS?

I have a work book that is divided into quarters (quarterly paperwork for the fire department). The first four sheets are are my "core" sheets that I put all of my information in. I have the FORMULAS that will calculate what data I put in as far as calculating but when I try to create the formula to carry over a name, it doesn't work.

If I type in Jane Doe on sheet 1 A241, I want it to automatically fill sheet 2, 3, 4, and Jul (for the 3rd QUARTER).

The names of the sheets are as follows;

Click into the cell you wish the name to carry over to and press =, then click on the cell the name appears on sheet A241, then click on the tick in the formula bar. Hopefully the name will carry over.

I have a couple of CD's with legal FORMS on them (Lawpack) which I occasionally use. When I put in the CD it would autoplay and I would be presented with a screen showing all the different forms. Clicking on the form it would open in Acrobat reader (version 4). Now when I put in the DISC, Acrobat reader flash screen appears and you can see the program loading, but then it stops. I have Acrobat reader DC installed on my computer, but when I try to open a form from the disc it states that it is corrupted or not a supported file type. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Acrobat, I have repaired Acrobat and CHECKED for updates. I have tried USING other PDF viewers, but they report an error when opening a file.

Using the WINRAR GUI I can CREATE a Self Extracting Zip file that executes a program after the file extraction. However, I want to do it inside of a program that I writing. Using Shell I can create the SFX with the desired behavior with the exception that it doesn't execute the specified program after file extraction.

a -- add all files to archive
-ibck -- run in background

I have been TOLD that I need to specify the path in the command but that isn't required because the path is known. Proof of that is that the Self Extracting executable file, Setup.exe found the proper folder. However, I specified the path with the -ap switch and it made no difference other than it created the chain of folders on extraction. I have been all over this like it was my first girlfriend and I'm stumped.

RonI don't quite understand how the "path is known". you are telling rar.exe to add all files to the archive, run in the background, use the best compression, to execute a particular file when extracted, and to create a self-extracting file, but you NEVER specify what files or folders it should include- it literally isn't known, so it's going to add all the files in your programs' current working directory (inherited by the child process) to the archive.

The ap switch sets the path inside the archive that the files will be added. To change what files are added, You need to specify source files as their own argument, either a set of directories or a set of filenames.

Hi all, hoping you can save my sanity.

Trying to run a piece of software DOWNLOADED from the internet. File name is: VBAR1-3.rar. Downloaded easy enough, but each time I try to open it I get two dialogue boxes opening.
Both are headed 'file download'.
The first says 'Getting File Information' and shows pieces of paper flying from a globe to a folder. However, nothing is being transferred.
Bar graph never moves and Estimated time left, Download to, and Transfer rate are blank.
The other asks: Do you want to Open or Save this file?
If I click 'open' both boxes disappear and the screen goes blank.
If I hit 'Save' it goes back to the 'downloads' folder, where there is a copy already.
You may notice I am no computer expert. My machine was running slowlly, so I took it to a local shop, who suggested wiping the hard drive and re-installing a new OS.
Didn't speed the computer up at all, but lost a large amount of vital data I had collected over the years. This is the first stage in getting my computer back to where it was. Lots of similar battles ahead I think.

am trying to play audio in REACT NATIVE. I tried to install react-native-sound but it did not install. I have installed the library react-native-sound-player. But when I press the play button it SHOWS this error: TypeError: null is not an object (evaluating 'RNSoundPlayer.playSoundFile').

So I have been getting these notices about bye-bye Adobe Flash Player and I suppose I have to make some decisions in the next few weeks about what to do about that going bye-bye and if anyone has any ideas I sure wouldn't mind if you'd share those ideas with me.

Well, I might be having to convert existing stuff I might have and have forgotten about --- especially as I have a number of units spread out over a few locations and some I haven't looked into in a fair bit.

Next idea would be if I run into something I might have watched in the past using the Adobe product --- what can replace Adobe?

There is a good chance you won't even notice. I don't think I've had any Adobe Flash installed on my main machines for about 5 or 6 years. Hi all, ... I purchased "Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 plus Photoshop Album 2.0" back in like, 2004 for $130 from Best BUY when I bought my XP machine new. At that time, our phones weren't capable of taking decent photos, if at all. Lol. So, I bought a digital camera with a memory card. As the memory card would fill up, I'd d/load the photos in to Adobe Photoshop Album completely ignorant to the fact that Adobe uses their own extension for stored photos.
FAST forward 15 years, now I have a Win 10 machine and thousands of photos I can only view one at a time clicking on its DATE code. No page of 25 to 50 small pictures to pick from.
My question here is this, is there a program to possibly convert these photos to .jpg or, something similar? I don't feel like paying nearly $200 for a current version of Photoshop, if it is even available just to find out it won't convert them anyway.
The good news is this, I still have the XP machine, it booted up last time I set it up and all the photos were in tact on there. I did also, put them all on a flash drive to try and view them on a Win10 machine out at my daughters place. Well, that didn't work! What file FORMAT are the files in Photoshop Album 2.0? Will the program install on Windows 10, perhaps in a compatibility mode? If so, maybe it gives the option of exporting the album files as jpegs. If the program won't install on W.10, ANOTHER approach might be to install it on your XP computer (if it still works) and see if it has that option.

Irfanview has a function for converting a batch of files from one format to another, so this might be another avenue to explore. It is capable of opening .PSA, .PSD and many other file formats.

If you are able to convert the files by one of the above ways, It would then be possible to look at the thumbnails of photos in Windows 10's File Explorer or view them as original photos in the W.10 photo viewer.

I'm running Windows 10 Home on a Dell Inspiron 5565 (shoot me now...), with an AMD A10-9600P RADEON R5, 10 COMPUTE CORES 4C+6G 2.40 GHz and 8GB RAM.

I've recently encountered an issue where the MS Office apps will not display any information at all - all of the menu bars, toolbars and document texts are completely blank and the programmes are unusable.

I have uninstalled the programme and downloaded the Office Setup from the 365 website after logging in to our valid account.

I have reinstalled and uninstalled and reinstalled several times, plus ensured that the Windows updates are all done and current. The laptop has also been restarted about 30 times in total!

Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated as I have job applications due this week.

Ben.I've never heard of this issue before, but you can try to repair the Office apps after they are installed. Open Programs &AMP; Features, find the Microsoft 365 item and right click on it. After 5 hours on the remote help from Microsoft I had to factory reset my laptop. They'd never not been ABLE to fix this issue before, but my system is working better now than when it was brand new!

Is there a solution for viewing pictures randomly from several folders on to a TV? I have an external hard drive with family pictures, they are separated into year folders and to watch them I need to use one folder at a time. Is there a way to view pictures rolling randomly from several folders?

First post by the way :-)There is no way I know of for doing that but a way of seeing all photos would be to make a folder dedicated to TV viewing and copy the family photos to it. If you'd rather not have duplicated photo files on the USB drive, perhaps copy the family folder onto a USB stick and PLUG that into the TV for viewing the photos.

I have used this solution myself for SELECTED photos and music. EVERYTHING is STORED on a 1TB external USB drive but music tracks are copied to a USB stick for playing via the TV, which is coupled to the sound system. ALSO another USB stick plugged into the TV with photos on.

My elderly MOTHER RECENTLY got a new computer and the old computer was transferred. She is now convinced that anything from the old computer is not her and someone trying to steal her IDENTITY. How does she get rid of "old computer"? All I know is her new one is an HP. This sounds silly but to her it is very serious. She has mental health issues and it is causing her great stress and anxiety. I don't have access to her computer and will need to guide her through it by phone. I would be very grateful for any help. Don't understand... Do you need your new computer to LOOK like the old one? Or you need to move data from the old computer to a new one? Or just DELETE everything from the old computer?
