Answer» OK! I've added my e-mail ACCOUNT to Windows LIVE Mailer that was formerly managed by Thunderbird. It does download from the AT&T Yahoo server, but I can't IMPORT my T'bird Mail folders. I already looked at the Import options, and predictably, it doesn't have an option for IMPORTING Thunderbird accounts. I'm planning to install Outlook '02, and hopefully import everything from Thunderbird, then export that to WinLive. I've installed Outlook '02, and I'm getting mail, and I've been able to import my address book, but I can't figure out how to import all of my old T'bird mail folders. There has GOT to be a way! My plan is, as I mentioned before, is that once I get that done, I'm going to import all of that into WinLive. Got any better ideas, I'm open. KCWhat version of Windows are you using? One way to attach an image is to click on "Additional Options..." at the bottom of the forum message composition panel you have open when you are preparing a post. If you open "Additional Options...", you will see a box to attach a file. Click the Browse button and browse to your file and select it.

I browse the cd for the software program, and its an .exe made by INTEL and it's only created for desktop board and it didn't work on any other........

Answer» Hello, I am a light and music guy in cabaret theater. We need to use 2 DIFFERENT media players on ONE computer. One which comes the sound effects and the other where I can put some background music. I think I have settled on 2. They are Windows media player and the other is WINAMP or itunes. My BIGGEST problem is to how I can put the options that way, when I have a playlist the song when its ended wont go to another one. Dont misunderstand me. I don't want the songs to go to the next one. I want that if I start the song and it ends, it ends and not play the next song. In my surprise I DIDNT find this option on any one of the players. Anyone can find how to accomplish this. Or give me other ideas on maybe using other players? But I'm assuming that is not an adequete solution.

It's certainly not the best file search program, but it doesn't compare badly with my competition, either.

Long story short ;

MP.I actually have been using Google Chrome quite a bit, and I really like it. It is very quick, and some of the little extra features have come in quite handy at times.

Before that it was mostly Firefox for the LAST few years. I also kept IE upgraded, as Windows Update and a few other pages (such as my employer's time card software) only display correctly on it.

I used to check Secunia browsers vulnerabilities to compare different browsers, but I'm too busy right now.

Answer» Using Windows XP I've got this application that freezes badly and often. I can move my mouse but the application is unresponsive. Naturally I try to ctrl+alt+del, but all it does is bring the DESKTOP arrow over the frozen screen with everything running behind it. I try shift FIVE times, doesn't work; I try alt+F4, doesn't work; win doesn't work, win+d doesn't work, win+m doesn't work, and I have also tried Xkill for Windows, but nothing works. I have gotten it to minimize on occasion, but very rarely. Sometimes by pressing shift five times or one time I got it to minimize with my mouse magnifying glass. I was wondering if anyone knows of any tool/utility that will force stubborn, unresponsive applications to minimize. I prefer that it minimizes and not close because I have been TOLD this particular application will work again if you minimize it then maximize it again. The application is a game, but that's a whole other nightmare I'm working on.Put mouse on free area of task BAR. RIGHT click. Start task manager. Look at applications. If it does not respond you should close it. Find the forum that deals with that game. There may be settings you need for it to work right on your machine. Answer» I tried to install mypublisher so that I could make a book. When i attempted to do this I did install the program but it wouldn't work. I uninstalled the program and tried to reinstall it. I kept getting an error message that read "Failed to replace old mypublisher.exe files. When you find the program that you want to uninstall, click the program and choose uninstall then advance. It should make a system restore file and then start with the standard uninstall. Then from there it should LOOK for reg files left over and blank folders and such. When it does you want to SELECT all and delete all for that prgram only. Answer» I have: Compaq evo d310v,XP service pack 3 home edition. Problem is the Microsoft.netframework programs are corrupted and some programs will not operate without them. I have tried to uninstall using the control panel program removal utility but this will not do it. Tried system restore but the problem occurred before the last available recovery point. Answer» I installed Microsoft Office on my laptop. My PROBLEM is the usual source of a problem... I got it from a torrent site. after a YEAR, I could not use it anymore. MUCH worse, I could not uninstall it. whenever I try to, a pompt appears and tells me "set up cannot continue because a required file is either corrupted or not available. Run Setup again from the original source disc or download location." Now that I am reformed, I got an original Microsoft Office cd. I tried re-installing it, but the same prompt appears. please help me! Try to run REVO uninstaller on it... Re-boot after it finishes and try the install. If not post back...i've got a few other tricks.thank you so much! it WORKED! i was able to remove 2 microsoft office programs from my program files. its just that i do not know which among the bold checklist are to be retained and be deleted. i just deleted them all with fingers crossed. i ALREADY tried pe.explorer it gets my dll file corrupted upon saving..maybe the one im using is just the trial version.. lolyou don't edit a dll file. you need either the source code and an understanding of the language or a very strong background in assembly language, the win32api and countless other things (including not ending every second sentence with "lolz")thanks for the info BC,

Answer» I am trying to get a new theme for my computer, and on all of the themes I have checked it has asked you to put something in WINDOWS\Resources\Themes. Unfortunately I can not find that folder. I go to C:/WINDOWS and I get a folder titled system32 but nothing else. In system32 there is a folder named variables and uxtheme.dll.
