I have windows 7 ultimate and this is driving me nuts. I have just bought another game and GUESS what? It uses the same name as the other two to launch "launcher.exe." One more THING about NVidia control panel:

LUCID lynx is an LTS (long term service) that is supported for 3 years. i've heard centOS is a seven year OS, and some distros are rolling updates (i'm not sure what that means, but it may mean it's supported as long as the distro isn't abandoned) maybe someone can come along and clarify this as i am not sure. for what it's worth, i hope you are able to get ubuntu working. i posted on the official ubuntu forum about my display problem and nobody ever replied. it looks to me like the display problems are common now (at least they are for me, UNFORTUNATELY). i've also spent a few hours trying to troubleshoot the problem, but couldn't fix it. as i stated earlier, i have over 100 distros on disk and don't regret spending the time and money on them one bit. not only do they HELP with diagnosis, but it's also 'neat' to try something new. you also learn alot from the project. i've already suggested a couple of distros that are high quality, well supported, and friendly to newbies. a couple others that i suggest are salix and pardus. be careful not to install UNLESS you are sure that it's for you. i've had it happen where i was using WINDOWS and had problems that i thought were fatal and reinstalled, then got ideas that may have repaired the windows that i wanted to keep, but it was too late. Can't get crap to work. Downloaded it 10-11 times and burnt several disks with different programs. Still get to the install screen, click install and it goes to a black screen with a blinking line and thats it. So I am checking it as solved just to know I am done discussing it.

Scratch that "I give up!" out of your vocabulary.I had the same problem with 6U24 update... My workstations with 6U23 would SUCCESSFULLY update to ver 24 once i uninstalled ver 23. My older workstations with ver. 22 would not INSTALL to ver. 24. So i tried to install ver 23 but I received the same problem... My fix is easy and it works EVERYTIME. I simply re-installed the VeriSign certs prior to installation, re-ran the install process and it worked like a charm. Hope this helps somebody out there....

Click on the "change" button and that will redirect you into your internet properties. That is what dl65 was saying. Make sure that your internet settings are correct.Also check Outlook>FILE>Work Offline, make sure it's not ticked.

Answer» When playing videos on my computer, about every 12 seconds there is a slight pause or skip. I use Windows Media Player and have tried EVERYTHING. It also happens when I watch videos on Youtube.com or any video music web site or when I insert a dvd into the drive. This just started happening about 2 weeks ago. Select Task Manager>Processes, what is the CPU usage and Memory usage shown at the bottom of that screen?When in Task Manager, and all HDD has stopped, the CPU usage will fluctuate from a high of 100% briefly than back down to 2%. Memory usage remains constant at 208M/1873M. I would like to add that using System Mechanics tools, while in the Recover Memory screen, I just noticed that the CPU usage spike's at about 71% at 12 second intervals. This is the same time frame that the videos always skip at. I am sure there is some connection here, but I don't know what is causing this usage spike. Answer» I was AFRAID of that. I was HOPING it was in the Normal.dotm file. I am at a loss as to what to do next.I found the problem. In the VIEW tab in Word 2007 there is section in the ribbon called "Show/Hide". One of the SELECTION is grid. Somehow this "grid" was checked. I do not remember doing this. I unchecked "grid" and the cross/hatching immediately went away. Mr. Commando, My Soybean, and Mr. BC_Programmer, I really appreciate your help. Answer» I have this Konica Minolta 2400 printer, and i formated my computer recently and i tried to install this program so i can use the printer but now when i start up the cd and click printer setup NOTHING comes up and i have tried this 100 times.
